“This place is great. There circle pizza is good, but I think there square pizza is better. The dough becomes a bit fluffy, so it is rich but not excessively so. I normally don't like White pizzas but the square white pizza here is one of my go to orders. The cheese steaks here are also excellent. The quality of the meat is quite a bit higher than typical. I don't eat a lot of cheese steaks but this would be the place I would get them.“

“The owner and staff greeted us with a great big smile and then we picked out what looked to be my favorite—buffalo chicken. I knew this pizza looked like it was the perfect consistency, but I wasn’t sure yet if the taste would measure up. It had the perfect amount of cheese and just the right hint of ranch sauce—oh, so good! The plain slice took me right back to my hometown pizza shop in both taste and consistency. We are super picky about our pizzas, with Brooklyn’s best being among my faves. I am telling you that this place is the best hidden gem in Philly for pizza! You have to try it!“

The crust was square deep dish chicago style, very good sauce. tons of cheese didn’t really taste the kale nevertheless, spot on! little on the expensive side.
Thai cauliflower wings , perfectly done, tender on the inside crispy tempura batter on the outside very good sauce
Spicy crab fries need work no crab flavor, kale was there but lacking flavor, plenty of cheese on fries, cheese was cold and the fries were little bit dry and cold.
The Fries are overpriced, thicker cut fries would be better.
The blueberry lemonade and a cucumber, mint lemonade a perfect combo with the pizza
This is a very nice place for takeout. The decor is right on with the whole mission. I read a chapter of the book while I was there Muhammad is inspiring.
I think it’s admirable the way they give back to the community. Hope that they will get some sit down seating in the future currently it has barstool and counter seating, would love to see some outdoor seating. Overall a nice experience, reason for four star atmosphere was a little bit loud hard to talk to my friend.
And as far as the food goes a little bit pricey overall, that’s just a personal opinion if it works for them that’s all that matters definitely will be back.“

“I’ve been coming here since 1964 and it’s still just as good! Hands down- best pizza in Philadelphia! The brothers/brothers in law have retired, but one of the sons is carrying the legacy forward. All they sell is pizza and soda, and only beef and beef pepperoni toppings. It’s no frills, but worth the ride I make every so often from Chestnut Hill. I only wished they took credit cards and stayed open later, but I understand. If you’re a pizza snob like me, do yourself a favor and try King of Pizza?“

“I have been coming to Uncle Joe’s for years. Can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience or a bad meal here. I have eaten takeout and I have eaten in at the restaurant with family. “I’ll start by saying the only reason this didn’t get five stars is that it took an inordinate amount of time to get the pizza. To the point where I thought we were forgotten as there weren’t that many tables…super friendly service but the oven can only cook seemingly 1-2 pizzas at a time so it takes a WHILE (probably ~40 minutes order to table). But if you have the time, the pizzas are amazing.

Started with the short rib special. This was pretty good. I didn’t feel like the salsa verde added much. Crust ever so slightly burnt but in a way that I enjoyed.

The true star, though, is the Fun Guy. The caramelized onions on this pie elevated it to another level I’ve never experienced and may be one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Would absolutely come back for this alone.

The space is hip. BYOB and chill overall with tons of tables.“

Tonight my family went there to celebrate a birthday with some pizza( the pizza was great) it ended up being a very scary situation that ended up with having to call an ambulance. The staff were great! They checked on my family several times, brought us stuff to help with the situation, called 911 and kept checking for the ambulance and even comforted my mom who was in full panic! We weren’t there long before this all happened but I did get to try two different kinds of pizza and I’d 100% recommend them! Yesterday I decided to check out an old favorite, Rustica in NoLibs. They didn’t miss a beat. Still reasonably priced for a slice that felt classy. And damn, is that chicken parm slice classy. The atmosphere in person, especially at night, is lively and most of the time full of Villanova students hanging out. The decor and style are also like dinner vibes, but also very chill. From the phone call ordering , to my last bite it was perfect ! We got the chicken fingers & fries which was huge amount , And couple cheese steaks & fries. I can't say enough good things about it ! I got a cheese steak hoagie it was absolutely delicious , it came very hot and not soggy at all to the very end ! What was pretty impressive were the fries ... I never got fries for take out that came hot and crispy and they were just delicious, and plenty ! My order came quicker than they said & delivery man was polite and friendly! I will be back ! Various pizzas, cheesesteak wraps , chicken Caesar wraps, fried ravioli, mozzarella sticks, and amazing salad and all the fixings! Can’t recommend them enough!!!“
