“We just stopped here for breakfast while in Allentown. Well worth the drive past a few other diners. This quaint stop is cozy with a friendly staff. We had excellent service sitting at the bar. I had the Taylor Pork Roll sandwich with a hash brown patty. My wife had a dippy egg with their addictive home fries. Nice place.“

“We enjoyed our meal at Thunderhead very much! The service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating. Everyone was smiling and even chatting with our 2 year old. The food came out promptly. I had the short ribs and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked. My husband had the burger and it looked amazing. The fries were to die for! Our dessert was made fresh and was the perfect end to our meal. Can’t wait to go back!“

“On the way to Becky’s Drive In we discovered this restaurant. I can’t express how much we loved it. The wait staff were attentive, caring and informative on specials and menu items. The draft list was extensive, including local favorites as well as seasonal specials. There is a whole candy bar dedicated to toppings for their cocktails and sangria flights(love). I had the rosemary French onion soup & sriracha ranch chicken wings with local honey added to the sauce. The soup was hands down the best I have ever had and the wings were cooked perfectly and coated in sauce. I loved my time here!“

“Madeline's is a great, affordable choice if you're looking for a lovely venue for a special event! We held our wedding ceremony and reception (for 60 guests, but they can accommodate more) in the restaurant’s upstairs banquet facility. From the start of planning to the day of the wedding, both event coordinators provided incredible attention for every detail of the event: the timing and setup of the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and a special private area for the bride. The banquet facility is wheelchair-accessible, spacious, and has plenty of natural light. There’s also an outside terrace. We had a number of guests with different dietary preferences and needs, including one with severe food allergy concerns. The coordinators were especially understanding of this. Before we chose a menu or signed a contract, they made a special effort to contact the guest with food allergies, and asked specific questions to be sure the menu and venue would be safe. They helped us to feel confident that there wouldn’t be any problems from the allergens of concern, and they worked closely with us on a creative menu that everyone would enjoy. The food was superb! Both event coordinators were present on the day of the event. Everything ran smoothly, and we and our guests really enjoyed it! The entire staff was courteous and attentive, and it was a joyful, memorable day. We look forward to going back for dinner!“

“Out of all the eateries in the greater Slatington area, SMT has got to be the highest of my recommendations. the place is absolutely fantastic, in both food and service. Not only is it a rustic bar complete with trivia nights and a pool table, but everything is delicious and always served with the highest priority of the customer's requests. The service is perfect, as well. always friendly and accommodating. they all periodically check up on tables, they're known to stop for a quick chat without ignoring their other patrons, and they're completely genuine. For those going, I recommend asking for Kerri. I've had several servers over my visits, all are great, but Kerri has simply been the best. It's at a point where I dont even have to order because she knows exactly what im getting. It's clear she puts her customers first, and it shows. overall, an excellent establishment.“

“If you’re down on your luck it’s a great place to live. Jeep Cherokee has been living here for 2yrs. An rv has been here for about a year and nobody bothers you. This morning there were 8 cars that have been living there for the last week. No police activity and if they do come they are just here to say hello. They have informed that Cracker Barrel doesn’t have a problem with it so enjoy an extended stay. YOU DON’T EVEN NEED TO SPEND A DOLLAR INSIDE. Throw trash on ground and the neighbors will pick it up Free living with no consequences. We travel with a camper trailer and have done overnights in our trailer but this is an abuse of the kindness of Cracker Barrel. These people are living here rent free. Neighbors don’t know who these people are“

“I have been staying at the Hyatt since it opened several years ago and dining at the Westside Grill on every stay. I frequent this hotel and am more than just a guest, bordering on being a resident due to my frequent travel into the Lehigh Valley. As a Globalist with Hyatt I cannot say enough good about the hotel and the Westside Grill. After having dinner there again this evening and having another outstanding experience I feel compelled to write this review. The dining room management of the Westside Grill is exceptional with Eileen, the Manager, doing an exceptional job. She is a walk around manager very visible in the dining room, greeting customers, and ensuring they are having a great dining experience. This evening I had the pleasure of having Deanna as my server and she did an outstanding job as well. Both Eileen and Deanna are very attentive insuring that the customer is well taken care of and not wanting for anything. I cannot say enough GOOD about this restaurant. It is top shelf, great abidance, exceptionally clean, supported by a full service bar and an exceptional menu and wine list. The Westside Grill has been consistent in service, quality, and presentation of food since I began dining there while staying at the hotel. I strongly recommend the Westside Grill for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for an exceptional dining experience. I bring often business associates with me for morning, afternoon, and evening business discussions at the Westside Grill and have never been disappointed. Both the Westside Grill and Hyatt Hotel have a great staff that are always wanting to make your dining experience and stay exceptional and memorable. It makes you want to come back!!! Finally, 5 Stars is not enough, it should be more like 10. Both the service and the meals at the Westside Grill are consistent always providing an exceptional dining experience.“

The chimichanga is huge, full of meat and delicious! The owner gave me a chicken empanada and also would recommend it. Full of meat from corner to corner and very flavorful.The best in the area! “I so wish that I had asked for names - but this place is phenomenal! We came in last Tuesday and Wednesday for breaks from Dorney. We were in from Virginia. Tuesday we sat at a booth up at the bar and the whole experience totally rocked. I had a family member with a gluten sensitivity and the park had little to offer, so we came to BJs. Service was great, food was fantastic, end to end just a great time. Wednesday we sat out in the dining area and had a different server, and he was incredible. Super attentive, all over everything we needed, top notch all the way - and then… Yall blessed my bourbon loving heart. I glanced across the bar and saw pretty common whisky selections. I ordered a water. It was hot anyway. But then I caught the label of a bottle of Booker’s… the price per pour was so good I asked 3 times to verify. When your bartender told me people don’t often order bourbon like that in there, my next question was “where is the closest liquor store?” Because I knew I’d get lucky. Bingo. Two bottles of Bookers on the shelf at Cedar Crest. ECBP, and a handful of other solid bottles not commonly seen in my state outside allocated drops. So bourbon fans - get you a healthy pour of Booker’s at a killer price at BJs, order the Prime Rib dip sandwich because it’s crazy good, and then go see what’s on the shelf nearby afterwards.“

“Went for early dinner. Bar with regulars, definitely needs revamp, old but clean. Jukebox too loud not overly crowded for 4 pm on a Friday. Food was good but a bit pricey, no frills. Bartender was our server, attentive and accommodating, nice.“

“Started to become a regular at the Boatyard, avoided for along time because of a misrepresentation of the establishment from years past that just no longer should be considered. Let’s start with the staff and owners very professional, fun and caring they make you feel welcomed anytime you walk in. Honestly you can tell the staff are like family and you just feel like you’re apart of it when you’re here. The food portions and pricing is great not many places in the area can you get a portion where you feel you got your money worth the fact the pricing isn’t tremendous makes it more attractive. The quality of the food is great rotating specials lets you try new things which are always cooked right. You are missing out not trying the boatyard at least once.“

“This bar is like 2 miles off of main St in Palmerton. Looks like a converted house from outside but inside is very nice even cozy. Service was excellent and food was good place was clean. Ordered a burger and it was good, I did not order the wings but people next to me did and they looked and smelled delicious. Would definitely return“

“Will not being going back after my husband and I recent visit. After being seated and waiting more than 15 minutes to be waited on while a waitress walked by us twice ignoring us and two other couples came and were seated near us and were waited on right away, we walked out! No one said a word. Another turn off, there obsessed with vacuuming and sweeping the floor. Yes l like a clean restaurant but not vacuuming or sweeping done by our table while were trying to have a peaceful meal and dust blowing around in the air. Wont be going back.“

“Stopped here on our way home from our trip to Jim Thorpe PA and it is the cutest place with a VERY extensive menu for old fashioned sodas and ice cream with a candy shop section as well. They have chalkboard tables to keep the kiddos entertained. Highly recommend this pit stop if you are in the area!!!“

“We do a lot of traveling and like to sample ice cream on our different trips. By far Claude’s Creamery has the best ice cream! It’s a very friendly atmosphere, the staff is always courteous, (a real rarity today) and is very inexpensive for a family. It’s always the bright spot on our trips to Palmerton! 5-Stars“

“We ate dinner in the cafe and had a wonderful meal. Our appetizer was the chips with gorgonzola cheese, tomatoes, arugula and balsamic glaze. Wow! I had the chicken, artichoke, pesto, penne and my husband had the forbidden rice, shrimp and bok choy dish. Both were absolutely amazing. Compliments to the chef. Our waitress was great! We live 45 minutes away but that won't stop us from returning for another fabulous meal.“

The waitress was so accommodating, sweet, and even asked the cook if the reuben could be made gluten free because I have Celiac. They have a dedicated fryer so I had wonderful french fries, too.
