“Best cheesesteak with fried onions, mushrooms and sweet & hotpeppers ~ made perfectlyVegetarian options: Veggie turkey sandwiches are delicious. Also you may order their famous signature sandwich “Bobble”substituting the turkey for “vegetarian turkey”Dietary restrictions: The menu includes the calories for each sandwich and salad listed & when ordering online or at the shop you may add or delete certain ingredients to customize your order ~Kid-friendliness: Very kid ~ friendliness at the shopWheelchair accessibility: All of the workers at the shop will open the front door to accommodate someone in a wheelchair ~“
“Ordered our Thanksgiving meal after seeing a post on Facebook. Everything was incredible (sorry, no pics but trust me!). The whole process was super easy from ordering to pick up. The entire staff working the day before Thanksgiving were nothing but sweet and helpful. I even ordered some lunch to go when I picked up our dinner. Just a simple egg salad wrap and it was amazing. This was my first time coming to Wayside and definitely not my last. Thanks for helping make our Thanksgiving a little less stressful and a lot more delicious!“
“I never leave reviews but this place was so good I had to. I wish I had taken pictures of the food because it was incredible. Had a fried shrimp Po boy sandwich that was out of this world, a bangin jerk chicken empanada and the best milkshake! You also can’t beat their homemade lemonade! Service was friendly and fast, can’t believe it was only our first time there but we will absolutely be returning!“
“No one makes a better hoagie or cheesesteak. Anywhere. If they served crinkle cut fries it would be better than the ones they have. But it's a sandwich shop, so can't really go wrong grabbing chips instead. The sandwiches are the absolute best I've ever had.“
“I cannot give Tom enough stars! His food is phenomenal. From the sandwiches to his formal dinners. Everything is stellar. Since having him do a private 5 course dinner he has been our go to for all parties with his plentiful sandwich trays. I plan on booking another private party this year as his company is as good as the food!“
“This place is amazing!!!Parking: Along side of highway before and next to restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Geared toward kids. They have electric trains all over the restaurant, ice cream, and very friendly staff.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking spot, with ramp.“
“Their food is great but they don't accept ENT benefits and it's not fair to Americans on public assistance who don't extra money for food especially homeless people on Snap who only have these places to eat at they need to catch up with the rest of the country !“
“Clean bathrooms, lots of parking, friendly staff and great sandwiches. Though the beer salad only had three small beets.Portions are smaller but the quality is good. Why mention the bathroom's first? If the kitchen was as clean as the bathrooms, it's a very hygienic, tidy, safe environment.“
“A great and tenured place to grab sandwiches quickly! The prices are in line with most sub shops and you're likely to get a sandwich you enjoy here. Like any place, if you're ordering around standard mealtimes or shortly before a Phillies or Eagles game you may want to give them some extra time to put your order together. It'll be worth the wait!“
“I’ve been eating sandwiches from Pickles & Chips since day 1, they are my family’s go to sandwich for tailgating in tubby raymond stadium parking lot at the University of Delaware football games, everything on their menu is so good for a pick me up snack; the quality is just there in the sandwiches itself! 10/10 for life“
“I wish I would’ve taken a picture but didn’t think of it at the time. Had the state street cutlet and it was phenomenal. The whiskey battered onion rings were delicious. Place was clean. Guy behind the counter was super friendly and nice. It was my first time here and I’ll definitely be back to try some of the other items.“
“NGL I am glad I found this place. It's like Wawa but owned by Bevan (mom & pop establishment). He has really inexpensive food tbh. If you are on a budget you can absolutely get outta here with spending under $10.The pictures don't do this place justice. Sure we all appreciate good ambience and décor but if it cuts into the basics then it's not worth it imoI'd say this establishment is a cross between a Wawa (without gas) or a Bodega that specialises in lunchtime & dinner foods. Don't get me wrong he has breakfast but since he doesn't open until 9am it kinda sucks. Unless you work laterThe Large Egg hoagies were decent. Between ordering the omelette, the sausage and just plain egg each person was fairly satisfied with the inexpensive breakfast they didn't have to cook as one person put it. ?I do think that he should offer at least a bit of seasoning like salt and pepper if you wanted but that's just me.Adding a drink can absolutely raise the price very quickly. But with the choices of drinks he has there it's hard not to be tempted (at least for me and another person I was with)I told him he should have prices more available for drinks and such. This way we can make an educated pick on if I want whatever drink is available. Trust me, there are a bunch of options.I cannot express enough how much I think you should at least give a single visit to his place. I really do think he could find a good niche and be super successful. Not that he isn't considering he's been doing this I think he said 20-30 years?I plan on coming back and trying lunch and might try one of those colada or tropical drinks. Best part, the drink will be ice cold I do want to mention, you can call your order in. So you might be able to negotiate with him and add stuff like mushrooms to your hoagies or breakfast sandwiches. I do think he's absolutely an approachable owner. Give him a try!Vegetarian options: I would like to say he has options but I am sure most Vegetarians would not like his no-fill approach to the meals he offers. But it is what it is.Dietary restrictions: Does not come through as available but the owner is absolutely there so just ask. He's a decent guy so you might be surprised. He took my advice, so I would think he's open to helping you out.Parking: Parking might be a little harder if you come during the rushes like lunchtime or dinnerKid-friendliness: I would say he has options for kids, snacks and toys. Yes I said toys lolWheelchair accessibility: Direct front door access is impossible, unless you find the ramps and then roll on the walkway to the front door. Otherwise there are steps in the way (which is not their fault, it's the design of the plaza)“
“Special Christmas drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. Garibaldi’s is next to Maxi's and they have a connecting inside door. You can take your cheesesteak to Maxi’s or you can take your beer to Garibaldi’s. It’s a big cheesesteak but in the picture you can see that it is dry. Maxi’s has beer but they allow smoking. The bartender was awesome. The young woman at Garibaldi’s was amazing. She made our cheesesteak on a garlic bread roll.“
“After stumbling upon this clean cozy spot I was curious to what to eat and I wanted some GOOD DELICIOUS food as I have almost eaten at every Spot in chester here in the midst of bustling 9th street was a Gem of a diner with great staff and a 5star menu of mouth watering food cooked to order down to detail your way. My favorite is the meatball pannini So after or before you head out to chester to see the Philadelphia Union soccer team stop by Mom's Deli ? and get a bite of Home cooked delicious food. Oh & try the Homemade smoothies too.“
“personally, despite being vegetarian I am a big hoagie girl. and dare I say there is a right and wrong way to make a hoagie. have no fear: jersey mikes does it the right way. for a vegetarian, some hoagie establishments think to compensate the lack of meat with cheese. my biggest pet peeve . but jersey mikes knows what to do. I order a cheese hoagie with lettuce onions pickles salt pepper oregano oil and vinegar (chips on the side). with the jersey mikes hoagie everything is balanced. I will not find a inch thick layer of cheese with just a few lettuce shreds. it's even, consistent, fresh. what more can you ask for. I haven't been in store, but generally jersey mikes has a few tables and it's quite quick with an assembly line style thing going on. they also have vickie's chips which is a win in my book.“
“Our new favorite soup and sandwich shop. Friendly and polite staff. TV screens in the dining area show videos of dogs and photos of local pets. It was a nice place to relax and enjoy our lunch. Sandwiches are fresh and made to order. We got the half soup-half sandwich combo. Very satisfying. We grabbed orange creamsicle muffins for breakfast the next day. The texture was cakey and full of flavor. Their motto is smile, be kind. do good. We felt this location is living up to that motto.Kid-friendliness: Excellent place to take kids. Kid friendly menu available.“
