“4th Street Delicatessen is a one of a kind city deli with tons of history and character. We ordered the Zaftig pastrami sandwich on rye, and it was absolutely worth it — the pastrami was piled high, tender, and full of flavor, and the rye bread held everything together perfectly. The portions are generous, so definitely come hungry. The service was great. Keira was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and they even gave complimentary cookies at the end, which was such a nice touch. Parking is tough, but that’s expected in the city. It is on the expensive side, but honestly, with the location and portion sizes, what can you expect? Overall, great food and great service.“

The countermen were friendly and genuine. $15 for a "regular" seemed steep, but I was judging them by the standards of lesser sandwiches; once I opened it and got a bite, I realized it was a fair price. “The Philly Cheesesteak I ordered here is probably the best I’ve ever had in this city. At first I thought maybe it was just a one off, but I stopped here a few times to grab a Philly Cheesesteak and it was still as good as the first time I’ve stopped here. Definitely better than Uncle Gus’ Steaks in Reading Terminal Market.

I can’t even decide which was better or what the best part of the sandwich was because everything tasted so good. The chicken cutlets were cooked to absolute perfection. The flavor is incredible. “I only get to order from here a few times a year unfortunately, but every time i get something from here it is great. Eggs are always cooked perfectly. They're variety is fantastic. Cupbop is always great and hardy! They are a family and very friendly people every time. This most recent experience was interesting. I placed an online order and went to pick it up and when i got there all the lights were out due to a black out. I saw someone else go inside and talked to the owners about my order, and they still made my order for me in pitch black! I have never had a restaurant do this, ever.
