“The staff and patrons were all amazing! I felt the brotherly love Philly and the grease was on the bag before I opened it; so that was a good sign! I got the Chicken Cheesesteak my friend got the beef. Meat was seasoned and cut up nicely; however, the onions were laid on top of the meat in the hoagie and not chopped up with the meat. I think chopping them up together makes a more cohesive hoagie. Would also like to add bell peppers and not just hot peppers. The bread was also a little thick and made the hoagie harder to bite and more chewy. I toasted the bread later and that helped make it easier to chew. The bathroom was a tiny room, but Im glad they had one and it was fully stocked with toilet paper. Super cute establishment.“

We had my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah with them on 10/27/18 at Alvethorpe Manor/Abington Art Center and they made it amazing! They work with you to ensure that your event is what you envision it to be. Kate Winters in particular worked tirelessly to help us from the first meeting to the actual event. She was always available to answer questions and troubleshoot. I mean always. “Venue: The Knowlton Mansion Philadelphia, PA. 10/10 This is a hidden gem. Affordable, unique, romantic, rustic, elegant. People continue to tell me how much they loved the venue and its details. I didn’t even want to tour the venue when my Mom first found it on Instagram. But shout out to my mom, she knew what she was talking about. It’s a Victorian mansion built in the 1800’s, originally owned by a Banker as his summer home and now converted into a wedding Venue. It has 2 stories with groom and bridal ‘suites’. A basement wine cellar with add on wine/scotch/beer tasting! 2 different ceremony locations on site- 1 indoor in the carriage house and 1 outdoor garden pergola. The food was great, there was plenty at cocktail hour and the dinners got great reviews from our guests. We had enough dessert to take home 8 trays of pastries that we shared with friends and family. My husband and I knew we wanted a unique venue, no golf course, or ballroom, and we absolutely found it at knowlton. My favorite part is that despite the reception space being added to the existing house it doesn’t feel like an addition at all. The characteristics and features of the house flow into the space. The house was plenty large enough for our 160 person wedding. They also offered a tasting (for an additional cost). The event manager Eileen answered every question I had from start to finish. Rebecca who does tours and day of coordination is absolutely amazing– from our tasting to rehearsal dinner to setting up centerpieces with me. She was a gem and I am so thankful for her. Our Bridal attendant Dee made sure I had food and drinks all night. Also a shout out to Bredenbecks, the bakery used by Conroy Catering. They worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. We still did a tasting but there was something lost in translation. We are NOT cake people and my husband was not budging on this. We love pie–so we did pie. We got one large cutting pie for us and mini pies of all different kinds and tarts for dessert. Everyone loved the hand held desserts and loved the fact that it wasn’t cake.“
