“Once again, another wonderful meal! I ordered the Brussels sprout salad which I had not tried before. Glad I did! Lovely mix of crunchy sprouts, cranberries, walnuts, apple& Gorgonzola with dressing that complimented all of the flavors. Also had the salmon appetizer which is reliably excellent. Main courses of doradd & short rib delicious. I loved the chocolate cake & the “taste” of crème brûlée & ice cream are a great way to try several desserts. Veronica was lovely & helpful. “Saturday was our first experience at Heirloom and I must say it was delightful. We arrived at our reservation time and the table wasn’t quite ready yet so we went to the back bar to wait. A gentleman was delicately preparing oysters that looked delightful and was very welcoming, friendly and joyful. Later we learned that was the chef. Every staff member was kind and accommodating. The food was prompt, yet similar to works of art, and not only did it look beautiful, it tasted extraordinary. I must say, we plan on returning. Bravo to everyone involved and the talent and ambiance!“

“Went last week and had an amazing experience especially the assistance we received from our waitress and the pastry chef. I had the one of the special entrees of the day- duck breast and since I’m not drinking, their lavender lemonade was both cute and tasty. A little tart, but very lemonadey. My husband got a ton a stuff that I don’t remember, but he enjoyed every drink, appetizer ( it was a tuna bonbon special) and entree. I’ve driven past this place for years, so it was great to finally pop in. Added bonus, located in northwest Philly which is such an amazing part of the city.“

The lamb meatballs are the richest ever! Sooooo good! The boozy hot chocolate clearly made from scratch soooo rich and yummy! The Bleu cheese toast just order 2 per person cause you'll want more! Soo good omg! The spare ribs are to die for as well! The mango honey iced tea tastes like heaven and the chocolate mint sorbet will make you dance even if you try to refuse! This is the one place where I happy dance from food! Another shout out to melony she honestly made me smile and brightened my week. I say a little sweet happy valentines day note on my boxed up goods from her when I got home. And yes they were my breakfast! “Came here for a Valentine’s Day tasting menu and was blown away. My partner picked the restaurant and I went in blind, knowing nothing. Incredible experience. The food was outstanding and made right in front of us. Max is a wonderful chef who worked magic to provide an incredible tasting menu by himself. “Food was tasty and a good value. Staff were very nice. Looks can be deceiving when looking at the restaurant from the outside. It looks like the building used to be an old American dinner that’s a little beat up but once you enter you will be greeted by a clean restaurant with clothed tables and chairs. However you can still see some of the old diner inside so it conflicts with the Korean accents. Obviously not a deal breaker but I hope they invest for a modern remodel.“

“McMenimin's is a terrific, very popular neighborhood bar/restaurant. It can be noisy, but if you sit in the back room, the noise is not too bad. We were there on a weeknight (Tuesday), and yet every table was filled by 7 o'clock. The food is better than one would expect for this kind of place. The fish and chips, chef's salad with portobello mushrooms and plant-based "cheeseburger" were all excellent. And portions were huge. The server was very pleasant. The reasons why this is 4 stars and not 5: No cocktail list at all and just a few not-so-great wines by the glass. And the entrees were served way before we were finished with the appetizers. They must have thought we had to catch a train. If you don't mind being rushed like crazy, then you might give McMenamin's 5 stars.“

“We love Spring House. The food, drinks and service are consistently top notch. Last night was a step backwards. We were greeted at the table by our server with bread and butter and asking if we wanted more than water to drink. In general the drinks took a while and so did the soup. We waited quite a while for someone to take the empty soup bowls and ask if we wanted a water refill or another drink. The soup bowls were taken when the entrees were served. There was someone nearby who was setting the table next to us but she was only interested a table that was still empty when we left. We remain fans of the restaurant and will be back but clearly not a good moment.“

“On March 9 we hosted a baby shower for my daughter on the patio at Jerzees. Even though the weather outside was terrible, we were completely comfortable and warm inside the patio. Everybody commented on how delicious the food was. We had the penne à la vodka, pizza, chicken fingers, and Caesar salad. The service was great. Our server, Bella, did a top-notch job. It was a crowd of 30+ people, and no one was ever without a drink or her excellent service. I would highly recommend Jerzees patio for small events. And the price was very reasonable, too. This all at a reasonable price, and served up quickly. It's not a super nice place, a neighborhood bar. But the restrooms are clean, the atmosphere casual.
