“This place was very good. This was our first time coming here. We had a very short wait which was a welcome surprise since it was a Saturday around noon. My son had the red velvet pancakes and liked it (he said 4/5). I had the braised beef Benedict and it was awesome. Great flavor and eggs were poached perfectly. Service was definitely 100%. Never waited for anything. You can tell all the people working here care. I highly recommend this place for a great brunch. I will be back for sure!!“

Lovely mix of crunchy sprouts, cranberries, walnuts, apple& Gorgonzola with dressing that complimented all of the flavors. Also had the salmon appetizer which is reliably excellent. “Went last week and had an amazing experience especially the assistance we received from our waitress and the pastry chef. I had the one of the special entrees of the day- duck breast and since I’m not drinking, their lavender lemonade was both cute and tasty. A little tart, but very lemonadey. My husband got a ton a stuff that I don’t remember, but he enjoyed every drink, appetizer ( it was a tuna bonbon special) and entree. I’ve driven past this place for years, so it was great to finally pop in. Added bonus, located in northwest Philly which is such an amazing part of the city.“

“Another wonderful dining experience at the Valley Green Inn. This time my party of four came for Sunday brunch. We were happily surprised with a complementary basket of warm mini muffins. Which went very well with our glasses of very reasonably priced and good dry white. Two of us had the crabcake sandwich with fries which was delicious. my other two dining companions had salads – one a beautiful quinoa, and the other a large salad with chicken, both of which they enjoyed. Now, the service! We were fortunate to get Tristan again as our server. He was a delight as usual with attentive and upbeat service. “Augusto's remains one of the best restaurants in the area. I hadn't been in a few years, but the food is excellent, creatively prepared, and affordable. We had the specials, which were amazing ( lobster bisque—George Perrier's recipe, which I had years ago at Le Bec Fin-the duck, and homemade gnocchi). Delicious. Excellent coffee too ( too full to try dessert!). Very attentive, friendly service. We'll be back!“

We were greeted at the table by our server with bread and butter and asking if we wanted more than water to drink. In general the drinks took a while and so did the soup. We waited quite a while for someone to take the empty soup bowls and ask if we wanted a water refill or another drink. The soup bowls were taken when the entrees were served. There was someone nearby who was setting the table next to us but she was only interested a table that was still empty when we left. We remain fans of the restaurant and will be back but clearly not a good moment.“
“McMenimin's is a terrific, very popular neighborhood bar/restaurant. It can be noisy, but if you sit in the back room, the noise is not too bad. We were there on a weeknight (Tuesday), and yet every table was filled by 7 o'clock. The food is better than one would expect for this kind of place. The fish and chips, chef's salad with portobello mushrooms and plant-based "cheeseburger" were all excellent. And portions were huge. The server was very pleasant. The reasons why this is 4 stars and not 5: No cocktail list at all and just a few not-so-great wines by the glass. And the entrees were served way before we were finished with the appetizers. They must have thought we had to catch a train. If you don't mind being rushed like crazy, then you might give McMenamin's 5 stars.“

Everybody commented on how delicious the food was. We had the penne à la vodka, pizza, chicken fingers, and Caesar salad. The service was great. Our server, Bella, did a top-notch job. It was a crowd of 30+ people, and no one was ever without a drink or her excellent service. I would highly recommend Jerzees patio for small events. And the price was very reasonable, too. We were able to find a spot close to restaurant.We arrived around noon during a weekday.We were greeted by two hostesses and seated immediately.Our waitress greeted us introducing herself (I am sorry I can't remember her name). She spent a lot time going over the menu with us which we appreciated.When our food arrived it was well prepared. I ordered the pull pork sandwich with fries. My brother ordered chicken sandwich.We were both impressed with the size of the sandwiches. The food was delicious. We both left with "doggie bags". “On the recommendation of a Philly native, I went to a place called Steve’s Prince of Steaks in North Philly. The moment I walked in I was hit with a intoxicating aroma. The setting was fairly unremarkable, with stainless steele walls and painted cement floor, along with a row of barstools and a small counter, perfect for late night and early morning bar closers or the lunch crowd from the Pepsi bottling plant across the street! I sat down to eat my meal that consisted of a traditional Philly cheesesteak with fried onions cheese whiz and steak. The onions were so flavourful and the cheese whiz was almost addictive, I nearly finished it in one bite. I left this place thinking that I now know why they call it prince of steak and winner of a Guinness Book World Records winner. If I had to recommend going anywhere when you stop in Philly, it would be at this place rather than the overhyped tourist spots seen on TV and paid travel reviews. I feel like it embodies the quintessential idea of Philly, It is a true testament to Phillys traditional cuisine and really gives the city it’s nickname, the city of brotherly love and sandwiches!“

The service was excellent and the food was very good. I ordered the broccoli quiche with turkey bacon on the side. That quiche is like none I have ever tasted, flaky crust and the filling reminded me of soufflé but much taster. I also brought 2 cups cakes carrot and coconut to go. I’m sure they are just as good. There were quite a few diners that knew each other which gave a hometown comfort. The food was delivered hot and delicious. I ordered the daily special of French toast, sausage and coffee. Then added a side of hashbrowns with onions (which I heard were good and they were). My husband ordered a western omelette, grits and rye toast. I was kind enough to share some of my hashbrowns with him. We cleaned our plates and my coffee cup was always full. “The only critique I would have is that they need a better roll for the steak sandwich and it needs to be gutted. Now saying that I prefer the texture on the outside of the role to be different than the inside of the role. The roll feels like I’m eating white bread with seeds. But other than that, everything is delicious. I do not want to discourage you from getting the cheesesteak because it’s so good. I’ve had it several times! Like I said just prefer a different roll. The owner is very personable and besides the food bringing you back, you want to go back because of the owner.“
