“I’ve been going to Ye Olde Ale House since the 1970’s. The roast beef is still prepared behind the bar, and the decor of this place hasn’t changed much either. Both of those are good things. Great beer selection too! Gets really crowded on Thursday, Friday and Saturday around dinner time, but they do a good job of moving people in and out.“

“A truly great Jewish Deli style restaurant. Haven't been in area in a decade , or so. Was looking to see if another Jewish Deli (Madray's) was still located here. No, but we stumbled into this fantastic restaurant.Good quantity and quality of food. Sandwiches and several, or more, entrees. Very reasonable prices for amount of food. Burgers and such, as well as Jewish specialties.A must try for anyone that appreciates great food, or has any appreciation of what fantastic benefits that the Jewish diaspora has given to America and the world. This restaurant is a true gem that needs to be recognized, supported and appreciated as a genuine cultural asset to our community.“

“I order takeout from here occasionally, but it's been a while since I've dined there. So I went with some people for lunch one day since we were in the area after a networking event. It wasn't crowded, but felt full with a good number of people having lunch/brunch.The staff were all pretty friendly. We were seated right after walking in and the service was a good pace throughout the entire dining experience. We all ordered something different but seemed to enjoy what we got. One person ordered one of the sandwich specials, another ordered the Mel's Chicken Sandwich and I got the Sante Fe Turkey Burger with sweet potato fries. It was very tasty, filling and served at the right temperature. I also had their Blueberry Lemonade which was really good.As always, a reliable place for a good meal. I recommend coming for brunch or course, but lunch is a good option too.“

“Absolutely loved the Sundae. Potato chips and kettle corn must be in all of my sundaes going forward. The latkes were phenomenal - must order. The harissa broccoli was delish. The burrata and focaccia was a delightful favourite. The Caesar salad was overdressed and the croutons were too hard for my preference. The pepperoni pasta was exactly that - not the worst but it was something I'd make drunk in my kitchen at 3 am. Fries were meh.A solid 4 on the food front. Go just for the decor alone, feeling like I was in an 80s golf clubhouse. The pool table is cute and fun too.“

“A combination of my favorite two vocab: “Brunch”+ “Buffet”. And the food is good! The girls at the reception were so sweet and helpful. Gave us a very good first impression of this place. The service could be improved. The first 10 minutes we sat down, no one stopped by for water or introduction. The server was okay when he was presented in the area. However he would occasionally disappear for quite long time. We waited pretty long for our check and had to have someone else give us the check. After the long waiting, we saw a sprite we didn’t order appeared on the bill. He was able to take it off, but with the waiting we were a little bit out of patience. In summary, definitely will come back and recommend this place. It’s perfect for casual lunch when you don’t know what you want.“

“If you're a cheesesteak aficionado like me, then this spot is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. First off, let's talk about the star of the show - the cheesesteak itself. It's evident that they take pride in using only the freshest ingredients, with the steak never seeing the inside of a freezer. The soft sesame seed wedge perfectly complements the juicy, flavorful meat. And speaking of meat, they don't skimp on quality here. Wagyu, rib eye, and NY strip - need I say more? Each bite is a savory symphony of premium beef. What truly sets this place apart is their commitment to cooking each cheesesteak to order. No dried-out meat sitting on the side of the grill here. Every sandwich is crafted with care, ensuring maximum freshness and flavor. Now, I'll admit, the price may be a tad higher than your average cheesesteak joint, but trust me, it's worth every penny. You're paying for top-notch ingredients and impeccable craftsmanship. And the customer service was on point! From the friendly greeting at the door to the attentive staff throughout our meal, they made us feel like valued guests. If you're in downtown Philly craving a cheesesteak experience that's a cut above the rest, look no further. This place delivers on quality, flavor, and hospitality. Can't wait to come back for more!!“

Both times we had the tasting menu and both times we were intrigued with the many delicious courses. We also included the wine pairing which brought to light many different wines, that we knew nothing about, if not for the sommelier's amazing choices. Each plate was beautifully presented, and every glass of wine was described. The meal was served over several hours but we never felt that the meal lagged. It was a luxurious experience that made us both have a feeling of being pampered. I would suggest Jean George to anyone who enjoys French cuisine. The only issue is that you have to go all the way to the basement to use the restroom and you aren’t able to take the stairs to exit out the first floor. The happy hour food is great, but the drink offerings and discounts are thin. Something to be aware of: the “dirty double” martini is not actually a double, so that’s kind of misleading. Now, the service! We were fortunate to get Tristan again as our server. He was a delight as usual with attentive and upbeat service. “I saw this place on social media so wanted to check it out. You have an amazing idea here. I thought the Z thing was only for the menu but they have their employees substituting Z’s for everything. It’s funny, it’s an experience. Great customer service IMO.Y’all need to update your address or business page on google maps, this location shows one place. I saw another location on your website, this review is for the truck at 3400 Fox St. I’m not even sure what this business page address is for. Maybe this is an old location?Onto the chicken cheesesteak. I got one with fried chicken tenders inside, lettuce, and I think they put some kind of hot sauce as well. The bread this comes on is incredible. If you want anything HEALTHY, DO NOT come here, I’m reading that it’s deep fried bread. Whatever they do to it, I could’ve ate it alone. The fried chicken inside is seasoned well. It’s kinda too much and falls apart as a result but who cares, eat some first with a fork then eat the rest. I got fries here but they were just okay. I want to come back and try something else.“

“I'm a historian. In my recent researches I found that there were several Catholic churches built in the Philadelphia area that were torn down suddenly in the 1800s and this Applebee's location was built atop one of them. The researches aren't clear why they were torn down so quickly and hidden from the historical record but there was also a scandal of priests studying dark texts at the same time, also hidden from history. When stepping across the threshold I felt a chill run down my spine. I was seated promptly and color drained from everything in my view. My server Nadia was very nice, I appreciated her attentiveness and prompt and courteous demeanor. Stepping into the bathroom I did note that the foundation seemed to be cracking and a curl of a mist casting a sense of gloom was emerging from this chasm.I knelt down and a sulfurous hint of brimstone hit me. I assume this was a plumbing issue, which will probably be resolved soon. Leaving the bathroom and passing by the kitchen door as it swung open, the seating area was struck in the sharp shadows of intense flames dancing across the walls. There were also screams.I can recommend the grilled chicken and shrimp dish, but would not recommend the Mac and cheese dish.“

I had the pappardelle which was great too, although it is so heavy. I might suggest reducing the amount of burrata and adding some vegetable to balance out the dish. We really needed some good food tonight after a few underwhelming experiences recently and StoneRose came through for us!“

“Service, speed, and pricing was top notch. The "special" soda was just ok. Nothing much different than a typical soda. The cheesesteak was a good size, but very under filled. Flavor was good. Roll was more crisp and greasy than typical. I'd eat again but doesn't make my top 3.“

“Great live storytelling event! Intimate space. Drinks were good. Try out the duck cheesesteak. It was delicious! Definitely an elevated cheesesteak. Duck was very tender. It came with fries they were ok. No salt and some were way too soft. I like a little crunch on the outside.“

“I'm a huge fan of Sweet Amalia's, so when we were in the city looking for somewhere to eat I knew I had to check this place out! I starred off with an amazing drink and of course OYSTERS! Both of which were fantastic and a great start. I had the octopus lyonnaise for my meal and then the buttermilk panna cotta for dessert. We sat at the kitchen bar, which was really cool to watch the organized chaos of all of the hard work that goes into each plate. And our server was phenomenal. 5 stars! And already can't wait to go back!“

“This was my first experience at Kick Axe. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there from the moment we walked in. I was surprised how good the food was, but I was even more surprised with the service from our bartender, Arielle. She made me the best tropical drink I've had in years, I think it's called a painkiller. The axe throwing was great. Everyone in my party had a great time. Thank you Kick Axe, and thank you Arielle!“

“I recently worked as a photographer at this bar/restaurant space that was being used for a wedding. There is a small space in the back thats great for pictures and small parties. They also have a bar upstairs and ample parking across the street. The appetizers were delicious and creative. Its a nice venue to hold a small event or to have drinks/dinner.“

“We love Spring House. The food, drinks and service are consistently top notch. Last night was a step backwards. We were greeted at the table by our server with bread and butter and asking if we wanted more than water to drink. In general the drinks took a while and so did the soup. We waited quite a while for someone to take the empty soup bowls and ask if we wanted a water refill or another drink. The soup bowls were taken when the entrees were served. There was someone nearby who was setting the table next to us but she was only interested a table that was still empty when we left. We remain fans of the restaurant and will be back but clearly not a good moment.“

“Have been here in Roxborough 2 years but never really saw the place until I found it on Google maps. It's a little unassuming on the outside but is really nice on the inside. I think they need a big, bright sign out front facing the street directly.Excellent food. Came for breakfast. Not too salty and they make a great hollandaise sauce. Had the stuffed french toast and crab portobello benedict. Will be back to try lunch and dinner, as well!Prices were good. The food is well portioned. You won't leave hungry.Service is great too. Multiple people checked on us. They check on you consistently for water and coffee. It was busy but we didn't have to wait too long to sit. We also didn't wait too long for food (maybe 15 minutes after order) but they brought our drinks of course within 5. Food came out hot. Can't wait to go back! Definitely recommendDietary restrictions: There is fish on the menu and also a vegetarian burger.“

“We went around the happy hour time. 4-6 pm and you have to be seated at the bar for the happy hour prices. The service was good, attentive staff. The food was good to my surprise. The crispy cauliflower and mushroom pita pizza are a must-try. The Thai chili wings and Buffalo wings were deliciously sauced, along with my margarita. The Smash burger is a must-try too. It was a cool laid-back happy hour spot. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.“

“Food was tasty and a good value. Staff were very nice. Looks can be deceiving when looking at the restaurant from the outside. It looks like the building used to be an old American dinner that’s a little beat up but once you enter you will be greeted by a clean restaurant with clothed tables and chairs. However you can still see some of the old diner inside so it conflicts with the Korean accents. Obviously not a deal breaker but I hope they invest for a modern remodel.“

“Went this evening to a work event. The experience was great! We took care of arrangements in advance. We were able to reserve a private area and were assigned Megan to take of our group. The food was great! And Megan did a great job catering to everyone’s needs. She poured beverages timely, kept the room bused and checked on our group to make sure our needs were met. The overall event was a huge success! We had a great time!“
