“Stopped here for dinner tonight and enjoyed it! The hot roast beef was very tasty, and so was the rice pudding! My husband and I split an order of chili cheese fries, which were okay. The atmosphere was a little lacking- the place felt old and a little run-down, and everything was served on small plastic plates, which was a little cheesy. That being said, id still go back if I was really craving a roast beef sandwich!“

“I am very pleased with my experience here. I went with a group of 5 and ordered sample tasting, so we got to try a lot of different options they have. They have standard and an upgraded option (for just $10/person); it is well worth it to pay for the upgrade. I liked most of it. But what was exceptional is the liver goose, the duck scrapple, the wagyu and the sea bass.They do a nice show (at the bar) with some of their drinks as well. In this video I recorded them making my double knot Manhattan. They fire some cinnamon and fill your cup first with the smoke. It actually gives it a nice taste.“

“This brewery is located at 5th street and Spring Garden street. It has a varied menu and I tried the hummus platter which was rich and smooth. Very fresh vegetables and warm pita triangles. A love stout vanilla beer which was smooth n creamy. My friend had an American burger with fries "very juicy" she like the fries too. My other friend had pork belly on bao buns steamed he said it was okay but he isn't pleased with most things unless his Mom makes it. Service was fantastic!! We ate outside in an enclosed area with ceiling heaters. Quieter. Inside there is a rectangular bar and a huge room filled with Highwood and picnic tables with TVs all around. A great place to meet friends and hangout to watch sports. There beers are excellent.“

“Tapas doesn’t meet my expectations. The only memorable tapas was the grilled chicken. Paella was okay. There were a generous portion of seafood and poultry on the paella but there wasn’t a crunchy bottom. And the dish was a bit on the salty side even for a Chinese myself.“

“I absolutely loveeeeeeee this restaurant!!!! Their coconut mojitos is the best thing everrrrrrrrr! The ambiance of the restaurant makes you feel as though you have transported to Cuba! I love the decor and the music that was played while we were there. Their pressed bread with mango butter is to die for!!!!! First round is on them but then you'll have to pay extra for another round and that makes sense. On the weekend the restaurant turns into a nightclub which I think is awesome! It's 20$ entry fee but if you are there your receipt is eligible for two weeks to get in for FREE! Def 10/10 !!!“

“I brought my dog here 2x so far and we absolutely love it here! The food is AMAZING! The staff are super friendly, attentive and go out of their way to get to know you and your pup to make sure everyone is having a great experience. We drive 1hr each way each time just to come here! My 5month old puppy loves coming here and getting the socialization he needs from humans and dogs alike!“

“We were there for lunch, loved the food, especially the short rib pizza, and I usually don't eat pizza. My friend thought there was a little too much cheese. Never. I had some sort of crab pasta. It was ok, not loaded with crab like the waiter said. My friend had a salad, no complaints, but the waiter had to be asked to refill our water and tea, and we had to wait to get his attention. It wasn't busy. I loved the tiramisu. The waiter packed up our separate "to go's" nicely. I would definitely go back, lots of interesting things on the menu.“

The sun was streaming in and there was no window shade. Not only were we warm, we ate the whole meal with the sun in our eyes! “I just joined Five Iron Fishtown and I love it. The location is great and I love the vibes of the inside. The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. I’ve also had a few lessons with Senior Golf Pro Matt Davis and I can already tell my swing has gotten better. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

“I recently worked as a photographer at this bar/restaurant space that was being used for a wedding. There is a small space in the back thats great for pictures and small parties. They also have a bar upstairs and ample parking across the street. The appetizers were delicious and creative. Its a nice venue to hold a small event or to have drinks/dinner.“

“We went around the happy hour time. 4-6 pm and you have to be seated at the bar for the happy hour prices. The service was good, attentive staff. The food was good to my surprise. The crispy cauliflower and mushroom pita pizza are a must-try. The Thai chili wings and Buffalo wings were deliciously sauced, along with my margarita. The Smash burger is a must-try too. “Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free Options; Woo Hoo. I sat at the bar which had the Sixers game on the television. Ellie put in my order the Laotian Fried Sticky Rice (Has Peanuts) which was delicious. Fresh cut fries Ellie suggested two great ciders I met Chandler and paid my bill with Kat. I then ventured downstairs with Brianna. The PHILLY course is so cool. Chill music, fun vibe.“

“The honey soy garlic Korean fried Chicken was some of the best I have ever had, if not the best. The Banchan was very good. The Pickled Chayote and Radish (Mu) were the stars for me. The Kimchi was good, but a little too spicy for me (I should've put in on the grill and cooked it a bit). The corn-cheese sausage as amazing. The Brisket was amazing. Pork belly was very good too, but I wish they had some Shiso or Red Leaf, so I could make a ssam. The ssamjang was very doenjang forward. Not sure if they have more than one type, but I prefer mine with more gochujang. Overall, Pocha Street is a must try.“

If I wanted to stuff myself, I would have finished it, but ended up just eating half.The server was the bartender and couldn’t attend to us as she was really doing two jobs (prepping all the drinks and trying to keep our coffees full). “I was in Philly with my boss and a colleague for an industry event. They were asking for a place to go for a bite and a beer. I asked my daughter who is local for some recommendations and she recommended Good Dog Bar. There are many great restaurants in the center city area, but this one does a great job. At 6:30 on a Monday, the place was quite busy. We were able to get a booth. I didn't see any tables for large groups downstairs. Most of the bar area and tables were full when we started ordering. The beer selection is diverse and prices are reasonable. For my main dish, I had to try to vegan Philly Cheesesteak. You might say that this is quite blasphemous being in Philly and doing vegan. I'm not sure how they did it, but it was very tasty. They also have some awesome fries with it. As far as parking, find a lot or garage or it's better to use mass trans or bike.“

“We love Spring House. The food, drinks and service are consistently top notch. Last night was a step backwards. We were greeted at the table by our server with bread and butter and asking if we wanted more than water to drink. In general the drinks took a while and so did the soup. We waited quite a while for someone to take the empty soup bowls and ask if we wanted a water refill or another drink. The soup bowls were taken when the entrees were served. There was someone nearby who was setting the table next to us but she was only interested a table that was still empty when we left. We remain fans of the restaurant and will be back but clearly not a good moment.“

The historic venue/bar has so much charm and life in it still. “Came in to watch the game and was surprised by the food and service. Lo my bartender was very patient and courteous throughout. I had the dry rub ranch wings OMG! Crunchy and seasoned on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great dipping sauce as well which added to the layers of flavor. My burger was the Swiss with bacon and a variety of mouth watery inclusions. Smash burger seasoned just right. I tried the love hazy IPA and it paired wonderfully. “Great food, however, the bar tender, Tom, is a real prick. Rude, condescending, arrogant. I used to frequent this place bc I know the owner, Randall. My first encounter with Tom, he was slow (like 12 mins before he even acknowledged me), and when he did, he slapped a menu in front of me and just walked away. I immediately say to him I just want a double Scotch, no food please. He gives me three side eyes and scoffs as he rips the menu off the bar. Then it took another 8 mins for him to pour my drink. As he sets my drink down, I say to him, "I'm done after this."He completely ignores me and doesn't check back until 15 mins after I've finished my drink. What was supposed to be a quick after work drink became a 40 min layover. What's amazing is, I was 1 of 4 people in the bar!!!I continued to go for a few more visits, but stopped bc of this arrogant man. What a D*CK.*UPDATED 4/19/2024*(Previously a 3 star review)So I recently came back to ottos to meet friends after work. Tom is no longer employed here. “What a phenomenal find! The bar (craft cocktails), building, restaurant is gorgeous. Old stone mixed with modern posh amenities. The food is TRUE & authentic Italian- my son closed his eyes at bread course (grilled Roman bread with ricotta & honey for A Scarpetta) and said, “mom this tastes like Italy!” We shared and tasted so many things, antipasto, starters, the salads were fresh, perfect vinaigrettes, the pastas & sauces all legit, homemade from scratch and perfectly Al dente. They dry-age their beef too which is exceptional. For dessert we had tiramisu budino & affogato- a perfect ending. We will be back and would recommend to friends. The staff was great too, just the right amount of attentiveness. It was a joyful & delicious experience at Tresini.“
