I am no longer skeptical. We have dined here three times now and every dish has been incredible. Lobster teriyaki was two huge tails. Miso soup was beautiful. They have brought us comped soup/salad and special fish fry nuggets.
Everything here is amazing.“

“We ordered sushi, soup, dumplings and the mango kani salad. Literally everything was amazing. My husband says it was the absolute best dumplings he’s ever had. Sushi was super fresh. Salad was light yet flavorful, great side dish with sushi.

We went on a Friday evening and it was VERY busy. I understand it’s a casual eatery but it needs to be more inviting when you walk in. If you’ve never been there, it’s super confusing to figure out the flow and how to order your food. We just sat down and waited for someone to take care of us. Waited about 15 minutes. But we once we were served, we were well taken care of and food came out fast.

We heard a lot of the take out orders saying they had been waiting for over an hour for their food. So clearly a better system is needed to balance the way orders are being taken care of.

But GREAT food! I would just recommend you sit down and eat in. You’ll get your hunger satisfied faster than take out.“

“They have very fresh sashimi and delicious appetizers. Oysters were also fresh and the toro was one of the best i had in a while. The chefs said that the Uni was from Hokkaido. Uni just melted in my mouth.

The servers were very polite and provided attentive services. Our group had a great time.“

“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. “Koi is an amazing place! It is some of the best sushi my husband has ever tried, and it comes complete with a special design by their sushi chef. This family owned restaurant has multiple member of their family, and it truly adds a personal touch. Joey was our server last night, and it was great to learn more about the restaurant - plus he made us laugh and just made our experience even better! Their outdoor dining is an awesome option - and the setting truly can’t be beat! We can’t wait to come back!“
