I only ate French fries at my first visit having brunched earlier in Manayunk and they also were just as delicious. The Taphouse bacon burger was divine. Just the best mix of crispy edges, gooey cheese, fresh & delicious tomatoes (rare for January in the NE! ) and possibly a common , happy problem to have, SO much food. I enjoyed every bite & sip & our server for a fair sized group of more than 15 was friendly, efficient and very well organized.“

“I stopped in here during Happy Hour one Friday afternoon and had a very enjoyable time. I met some friendly people and engaged in some good conversations with the regular customers. Mostly concerning sports and alcohol beverages. All three bartenders were excellent servers and quickly replenished our drinks. Can't wait until they start serving food as they just reopened under new management. It's a small place with just a straight bar but it was a friendly atmosphere.“

To make it worse, one of the twelve was a total runt — tiny, scrawny, barely any meat. So it was more like 11 wings.

The rest were a decent size — plenty of meat, which is really their saving grace. But they weren’t cooked evenly. A few were overdone and dry, while others were fine. The sauce could’ve definitely used another toss, too. They came out a little dry and the flavor was just… basic. Greasy, too. Honestly, if they used a copycat of S&H’s wing sauce, then the price would make sense.

Got my boys a small personal pizza — pretty much what you’d expect for a bar-style pie. Nothing bad, nothing standout.

The real MVP? The hand-cut fries!!!

“Me and my girlfriend went there for a Galentine‘s Bestie brunch and had such a wonderful experience. It was the first time either one of us had ever been there and we had a wonderful server named Rich who was friendly and warm and took great care of us making sure we had our bottomless mimosas throughout the entire meal. The food was fantastic. We got the breakfast quesadilla the cheddar grits and French toast and each thing was better than the next. We will definitely be back.“

I opened the door and was greeted by a friend who performs at so many local drinking establishments in Northeast Philly. As it was a spontaneous decision to go here I was very surprised to see him. Located on Rhawn Street off of Frankford Avenue in Mayfair/Holmesburg. It has an latge open area for music and dancing with long straight bar. I didn't have the food so I can't rate it. Our barmaid/server Laurie was friendly, witty and an excellent host. I met several friendly and engaging people here and will surely stop back.“

Chambers not only accommodated us, but gave prompt service and excellent food - and yes I had a beer (naughty me) from their varied and smartly-chosen offerings, which are the BEST in Doylestown IMO! And of course our superb Server Olivia, who was friendly, super-Professional and attentive! They also feature live music on weekends (in the cozy bar at the front, have a nice dining room, and also an additional bar next door called ‘The Other Side,’ which is accessible from main Restaurant, and is ‘wilder!’ Definitely a great place to visit!“

“Murphy’s Tavern is honestly one of my favorite local hangout spots! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by super friendly staff who always seem happy to see you. They’re quick with service, always checking in, and just genuinely nice people who make the whole place feel really welcoming.

The vibe here is super chill — great for grabbing a drink after work or spending a weekend night out with friends. They’ve got games outside AND inside which makes it even better when the weather’s nice. It’s so fun to just hang out, play a few rounds, and enjoy the atmosphere.

The crowd is always friendly too, and there’s this nice community feel to the place that you don’t get everywhere. Between the good drinks, beer draft selection, great people, and the outdoor setup, Murphy’s Tavern is the kind of spot you end up staying at longer than you planned.

Bartenders need to learn how to work the remote for the music , It is Bose system that you can adjust for each end of the bar and the right channel is off along with the bass . lol I always listen to music when I am there .“

“Sending out a big thank you to Wilson’s pub. It was my sisters 60th birthday party we were supposed to celebrate at another bar who promised to reserve tables to accommodate her family and friends 30 of us . When we arrived, they told us that they could not reserve all of the tables that they said earlier they would.. no apology no nothing. Needless to say we left that bar flooded Wilson’s with approximately 25 people. They gave us the whole side room. Drinks were great. We ordered food and I believe the cook brought it right out to us his self.. great bartenders great food ….they could not have been nicer or more accommodating would definitely recommend Wilson’s to anyone“

“If you are looking for a local divey bar this is it. Bartender was pleasant. There was a dart game in progress on the night we came. We were too late to order food but behind the bar and bar top seemed pretty clean. The booths near front entrance also looked recently re done. Even though we are not from the area- the regulars were welcoming.“

It was tasty enough that I came back for dinner to try the chili. Glad I did! Great chili! (Though I wasn't a fan of the half-a-hoagie on the side). Got a draft beer that went with it, and got out under $20. Can't complain!
Alexis was awesome, kept me topped up and good cheer never failed.
They have a game room, a patio in good weather, and a better than decent selection of food and drink both.
