“Something I learned over the past 2 years is that green bean coffee house is an absolute blessing to the homeless community. Overflow church as well as other churches and organizations come together to host a warming center each night through the winter for the homeless and green bean coffee is one of those organizations that assist with it. The night I volunteered overnight, in the morning green bean donated hot breakfasts to all the homeless. They also allow you to pay for a coffee or hot cocoa in advance so that when a homeless person comes in, they can ask for one without question. I am so moved by their love and compassion for those less fortunate. Not to mention their food and coffee is delicious!“

“I Googled coffee shops in Altoona and this one caught my eye! I stopped today for the first time.......and I was not disappointed. Wasn't sure what to order.......the lady waiting on me showed me the featured drinks. I went with the White Chocolate Mocha with Blueberry Cold Foam.......probably one of the most delicious coffees ever!!!! Hopefully next visit I can stay a little longer and grab some breakfast too!“

“Born and raised in Altoona, PA. and I know some of the Sheetz family. A Grandfather owned a dairy and several times on Christmas Eve, he brought us goodies (in the 50’s). The Sheetz “clan” is a wonderful family. I had the pleasure of shopping in the first 2 Sheetz “Kwik Shoppers” in Altoona. I know several high school class mates who have retired from Sheetz and enjoyed their time working there. Now, we just got the first Sheetz relatively close by in Michigan. Been there twice so far. In sum, the Sheetz family are a wonderful bunch. I hope Michigan enjoys Sheetz as much as Sheetz enjoys Michigan.“

“Nice Starbucks and very nice atmosphere. I spent the afternoon here with a friend while doing work and studying with a close friend. We had drinks and they were good, but we're out of our normal choices. My friend had a vanilla latte and I had a chai tea latte. Both were good. I always like the extra options at Starbucks and today was no exception. The Cranberry Bliss bar was great as usual with good quality, care and personalization with the Written on cups with thoughtful messages to us on our cups. The baristas were singing and enjoying their shifts making the coffees and beverages with care. Smiles were abundant here and we felt welcomed as we studied and did our work. The prices are pretty much consistent among all Starbucks, and I Love the recent policy change to not charge for oat milk and alternative milks. This was never an issue for me, but is a welcome price reduction in my drink selection. I do not normally use wifi, but know it is available and appreciate that it is here when I need it. I liked everything about our time here and enjoyed the friendly environment and welcoming nature of the cafe. The noise level got moderate over our time here depending upon how busy they were, but never got too loud we could not talk to each other. Thank you for a wonderful environment to do our work and studies.“

“There was only one guy tonight, I didn't catch his name but he was giving exemplary customer service and was speedy too. Wish they would staff more people when they're the only one open but the man working tonight made the 10 to 15 minute wait worth it.“
