“This cute little cafe is a hidden gem with vegetarian options!I stopped in with my family while on a road trip and got the BEST vegetarian borscht that I've ever had. They also have the most delicious stuffed pastries that they serve hot if you're dining in. We got the spinach and cheese pastry and also a mashed potato and mushroom pastry. One stuffed pastry is a nice size for a light lunch, especially with a cup of borscht, but we loved the pastries so much that we got some to go, too!My only regret is that this wonderful cafe is so far from home!Vegetarian options: Phenomenal stuffed pastries. There were three vegetarian options, and the two that we got were amazing!Kid-friendliness: There was a high chair and they were so sweet with our two kids. They were feeling picky today, but I think other kids would love the pastries and soups! There is no changing table for babies in the bathroom, though, so you may need to stop elsewhere afterwards if a little one needs a fresh diaper.”

I shared my vision with Tatiana for a custom graduation cake and she did an excellent job. Our guests were wowed! “The Mallard's previous incarnation, the Inglebean, played a large role in convincing us to move to this wonderful little town: friendly service, excellent coffee and in-house baked goods, striking cabin-like decor... And the Mallard is, if anything, even moreso. We went for the 1-year anniversary, and to celebrate returning to our Millheim home after 8 months of extreme renovations. “Stopped in for Sunday brunch. Our first time here and wanted to check it out based from word of mouth. Seated quickly and server took our drink orders. I had a Bloody Maria after inquiring what the difference was between that and a Mary (tequila instead of vodka). Quite good actually. Probably a new preference.My food order was something called a Capricious Goat. Egg omelette with goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, and arugula. Served with home fries. It was a plateful. Nice mix of flavors. And the goat cheese was local.Hubby got the pretzel bread which came with beer cheese and apple slices. The bread was very interesting and reminded me of dense cornbread. The cheese was also quite different from what we were used to. To me it had an almost pimento spread type vibe. Cold with just a touch of heat.Hubby's other small plate was the beef empanada. Two generous sized pieces with a roja sauce for dipping. Golden brown with a very well seasoned filling.I spied their blackboard on the wall with posted drinks and desserts and my eyes lit up when I saw banoffee pie listed. Since this is something I've always been curious about, we decided to share a slice. The presentation as it was carried to our table was impressive! There it sat on it's own little pedestal. The pie itself was very eye appealing. First bite you could tell it was ooey gooey good with all that caramel. The sliced bananas were just right and that crust was amazing too. Very rich dessert and I'm glad we tried it.Service was outstanding. Now I know why this is a popular place. Looking forward to returning.”

“It was great to stop again at the Brown's Hill Tavern, unfortunately it was because of taking a break from a snow storm but this is the place where you can feel welcomed. Heather was great at the bar and the food and their prices are definitely the best you can get.”

“We always stop by whenever we visit The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park. Everything is delicious and it is a cozy place to eat breakfast or lunch. We bring a box home with us and the pastries are good for a week. They post on their Facebook page the menu for the weekend and if they have any schedule changes.”

“Had a delightful and delicious lunch with friends at the Blonde Bistro. Shared an app of the Blonde Bombs (highly recommended!). Lasagna and pizza were amazing. Plenty enough to request take home boxes. Stromboli to go (for hubby) looks delicious and I'm sure it will be. And check out that gorgeous cocktail - a pineapple upside down martini. I hear it was very very tasty (as was my Rubio Mexican lager).Service was excellent - Chris, our server, was very attentive and checked in on us frequently. Ciara, the owner, even came to our table several times to chat and answer any questions we had. Food served quickly and correctly. We all left very pleased and each of us are looking forward to visiting again.”

“Staff are super friendly. I thought about taking off a star because there aren't a lot of gluten free options, but the prices are decent and my family has been going here forever. Just know that it's not an abundant amount of options if you're like me and have celiac disease. The atmosphere was comfortable and not overly loud like some places can be. Great salad! I wouldn't often call any salad "great" but this was truly top tier.”

“Normal gas fill up. I appreciated however the large bucket and extra long window washer supplies. For ones like me with an SUV and four kids ... you can never reach the whole windshield when you are cleaning it while pumping gas. This was great!! Kudos and great idea whomever thought of it.”
