“We had my son and future daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner at the Newtown location tonight. It was fabulous!!! Everything was done so well and the food was delicious and never stopped coming!! The servers were so pleasant and attentive. I would highly recommend for any special event. You would not be disappointed!!“

“Stopped in after a biking through Pennypack Park. Wanted a gyro and picked this place because of the a 5 star rating. The experience exceeded five stars.
The people are incredibly hospitable and friendly.
The food!!! Sooooo goood! Had the lamb Gyro on Mediterranean pita (panini pressed). It was ridiculously delicious. The Moroccan soup slapped. The falafel was crispy and flavorful. The chicken over rice needed no sauce. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and delectable on its own.
The portions were generous. I ate so much and still had plenty of leftovers to take home.
You can tell the people that own this place care about customer experience and quality food.

“Our first time at Blue Olive was to celebrate a birthday and it didn't disappoint. The fusion of Mediterranean/Tunisian/Greek food was nothing short if spectacular. The service was incredibly friendly and gracious and the ambiance charming. We started with hot appetizers of roasted artichokes, pan fried Halloumi cheese, Spanakopita and an evening special hummus with spiced, minced lamb served with warm pita. All so delicious we were tempted to forego our main courses of moussaka, lamb kebab and delicious lemon/caper cod served over a bed of roasted root vegetable. Desserts, celebrated with a happy birthday candle on a scrumptious chocolate/hazelnut cake , walnut baklava and Turkish coffee made the evening complete. This BYOB gem is a culinary find and we will be going back soon.“

“We were a party of 10 celebrating a birthday with no reservation but were accommodated immediately. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The chef (owner) greeted our party, provided a brief description of the menu and his concept, and gave us his recommendations. The melintzana, the mediterranean duo, and the meatbolls were great to share. I shared the Paella for two which tasted fresh and authentic. The chef's touch on traditional mediterranean dishes kept true to their origin and added a welcomed personalized flare. We are looking forward to dine there again.“

This is a terrific option for a healthier fast food experience. The rice and hummus bowls are my favorites, with falafels and/or mushrooms for the protein choice. “New local halal food spot located on Cottman Ave near Castor Ave by the Sunoco gas station. Reasonably priced fresh food platters with a variety of tasty choices to choose from some as low as $5! $5 is a great price for those on a budget. I got the Mac and cheese/ fried chicken combo and the sauce it comes with is so yummy! It was pretty good. Also got the fish over rice with the garlic sauce it comes with a small salad as well. Fish was lightly breaded and cooked well. I will visit this spot again for sure to try out the other menu items!“

“The food here is delicious! We tried the Oxtail with fried rice and mac, the Salmon & Shrimp Rasta Pasta, and the Sweet Chili Wings with fries and every single dish held such great flavor. The oxtail was so tender it literally fell off the bone, easily one of the highlights of the meal. Next time, we’re definitely trying the Oxtail Rasta Pasta.“
