“Gong Cha is the go to tea spots regardless of where I am at. I always get their earl grey milk tea with white pearls. At this establishment there is no seating and it's a quick service to grab and go. Our barista was super friendly and patient. Would recommend going again.“

“My experience at Mr. Wish was nothing short of excellent. The service was top-notch, and the drinks were absolutely refreshing. I stopped by for a quick drink and was greeted by two incredibly friendly staff members who were eager to assist me. They were knowledgeable about the menu and helped me find the perfect drink to suit my taste.Speaking of drinks, I tried their signature drink, and it was a delightful blend of flavors that left me feeling rejuvenated. The quality of ingredients was evident, and the presentation was impeccable. What truly stood out to me was the genuine care and attention to detail shown by the staff. They took the time to ensure that my order was just right and made me feel welcomed throughout my visit. “Mr. Wish on Grant Avenue is a nice place to get bubble tea and smoothies. They have many drinks with fresh fruit. The mango smoothie is very good. The shop is clean and has comfortable chairs. The workers are friendly and help you choose a drink. Some drinks might be a little sour, so ask the staff if you like sweeter drinks. Overall, it is a good spot to relax and enjoy a tasty drink.
Not too expensive either. Would recommend to most people“

“I went here with my son, he got a chai milk tea and I got taro which I was unaware it would be chunks of taro instead of the sweet purple taro drink I'm used to from other boba places. The guy worker was very kind, he allowed me to get a different drink since I really disliked the one I ordered. Thanks again!“

“Amazing boba shop with diverse drinks, including fruit drinks and the classic pearl drink. The staff are incredibly helpful when I asked what they recommended and only took a few minutes for my drink to be made. They had a cute promotion when I came by where the drinks were poured into gingerbread bottles which was perfect for pictures. Efficient and tasty drinks for on the go. Overall, a great experience and would come back again.“

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My son Dan loves milk tea (he needs all the milk he can to keep those bones strong) and this place had a delicious brown sugar boba! I personally love the architecture in this place. It boasts an octagonal glass-pane layout that makes me feel like i’m eating in some secret lair of some sort!
Through and Through, day in and day out, I’m a Boba Guy. After a hard day’s work at the Dept., I can guarantee that Boba Tea House’s milk tea will put a smile to my face. Here’s a poem I wrote about boba.
Ode to the Boba Pearl
By a Fireman of Fervent Mind
Oh, sweet elixir of the Orient’s brew,
Boba tea, thou art my heart’s fond ado!
In plastic chalice, thy nectar doth sway,
A potion profound, in a plebeian’s café.
But lo! ‘Tis not the tea, nor sugary stream,
That stokes my soul’s most lascivious dream
Nay, ‘tis the pearls, those globules divine,
That roll ‘cross my tongue, a thrill serpentine!
Each tapioca orb, a sultry sphere,
Doth whisper secrets only I can hear.
In their glossy sheen, I glimpse the sublime,
A cosmos of chew, unbound by time.
They tumble, they tease, betwixt lips parted wide,
Like Venus herself in a syrupy tide!
I slurp with abandon, no scholar’s restraint,
For passion’s a fire no logic can paint.
O boba, ye muses of gelatinous grace,
Ye dance in my mouth, a forbidden embrace.
Each squish ‘neath my teeth—oh, rapture unbound!
A primal communion, no treatise profound.
The world may scoff at my ardor’s excess,
But they’ve not tasted such tender caress.
In thy starchy depths, my spirit’s set free,
Boba’s sweet pearls—my eternity!
I, fireman bold, with hose and with helm,
Find truths in thy bubbles no sage could overwhelm.
Let philosophers prattle of Plato’s grand forms,
I’ll worship thy spheres through life’s fleeting storms.
So pour me a cup, let the straw pierce the veil,
For boba’s soft pearls are my heart’s holy grail!“

“this is my favorite juice/milk tea place around these parts even if it's a bit pricy. okay, maybe not all blends are great but it's a case of preference... i didn't like that fruit espresso blend they have. butttttt they do have bomb dot com milk teas and fruit teas with soft boba and even had a limited time offering of a red guava i loved to bits. i'll definitely be coming back here or in their other branches whenever i'm in philly.
this is also the branch i observed that's less populated, but maybe it was because it was off-peak season and universities were mostly off around july lol.“
“Vincent was very kind and welcoming. When we didn't know what to play, he asked us what types of games we liked + recommended games + walked us through the first couple rounds. This place is lovely. Great selection of games. The only board game club I've seen that has a large Chinese game collection.“

“This is one of my new, favorite spots to grab lunch on the go when I am at work! Great portions and very fresh compared to a few of the other poke spots around the city.
I saw this poke spot while riding the 33 bus and circled back on my way home to try it! Super glad I did. There are several poke spots throughout the city but if you have an appointment or work nearby, gojo is a worthy lunch option.
The staff are SUPER sweet and attentive. I greatly appreciate the care they gave to ensure my order was correct. The store has limited but roomy seating inside but personally I think this is more of a grab-and-go lunch location.
Can't wait to go back!“

“Delicious food, friendly service, quick turnaround time, and very fair prices.
The dine-in setup is very casual — there is table service but you order/pay at the counter & self-serve water. There is a lot of natural light inside, a good view of the sidewalk to people-watch, and the two folks running the restaurant while I was there (possibly the owners) were phenomenally gracious hosts. There is a cold case of to-go snacks and drinks. The rice balls are a must try!
Having tried the chicken galbi lunch box and the squid dolsot, I can enthusiastically recommend both, but the dolsot was truly the star of the show in my opinion. The combination of buttery squid, jammy egg, umami & spicy sauce, veggie mix, and that crispy caramelized rice at the bottom is just absolutely magical.
This is an absolute gem of a restaurant.“

“Located in a predominantly Korean American shopping center with a Korean grocery store, bank, pharmacy, and a few restaurants.
Kung fu tea is a great stop to rest or to even meet and catch up with friends.
The inside is very spacious, and especially in this weather, nice and cool.
The drinks are what you expect from Kung Fu Tea. Solid drinks but a little sweet.
The employees are friendly enough.
There are plenty of tables and seats to sit and also a plethora of board games to choose from.“

“Onigiri I had were awesome; one was with avocado, another one with eel. They actually have a pretty nice selection of ingredients for onigiri. I think I'll enjoy any of these, as long as there's rice and nori, bc you can't go wrong with these two ? the sauce they served them with seems to be my new obsession, perfectly delicious.
Unfortunately the tea I tried -- taro milk tea -- was not that good. There was way too much sugar, no ice and very few bubbles. They never asked me anything about any of these. I had tea like that in another place the other day and it was much more balanced and I just couldn't stop drinking it.“
“This place is a hidden gem for Philly night owls and the socially anxious/claustrophobic. I work late, and I don't know many places open later that aren't bars or loud and crowded restaurants. It has become one of my go-tos. When people are playing pool in the downstairs lounge, the sound of voices is comforting without being distracting. The high ceilings make it feel spacious, although it's not overly big. Very simple and comfortable; like working from home, or in a quiet mall food court late at night. The shelves of board games, unpretentious decor, slight smell of cigarettes, all add to this homey feeling. The playlist is energetic but the music is not too loud. Service is quick but not overbearing. The tea and snack offerings are diverse without being over-complicated. This place is underrated.“

“This dessert spot is a dream for soft-serve lovers! I got the taro soft serve, and it was perfectly smooth, creamy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The matcha and taro swirl in the bubble tea cup was another standout—such a unique combo, and the little waffle cookies on top were a cute touch! The portion sizes are generous, and the flavors taste fresh and natural. The shop itself has a clean, modern vibe, making it a great place to sit and enjoy your treat. “The bubble tea here is amazing! We ordered the signature brown sugar milk tea and it was amazing. The taste had body and the brown sugar really stood out to me as really good. The boba was also really good but it has lots of very small bubbles. However the big ones had great flavor. I recommend having the cream mousse, it really gives the boba a rich flavor. I totally recommend“

“My favorite soft serve ice cream place in Philly! I particularly love their earl grey soft serve, which pairs well with many of their delicious toppings. The servings are kind of big for me, but the ice cream is so good I usually finish it anyway. I’d love to try some more of their flavors (though I keep finding myself ordering the earl grey since I can’t get that anywhere else).“

“Great customer service and was very patient taking the order. Very welcoming workers and made me feel at ease. The funnel cake mochi donut was pretty good and filled that need of the broadwalk but saved me that long drive of going to the beach. That mozzarella corn dog was the item that will definitely get me coming back to this location. The nice older lady in the back made in fresh as it was ordered. The coating was crunchy and the sugar added a nice touch of sweet to make me keep going back even though it was hot. Will definitely be coming back!!!“
