“This place was not too bad especially for a mall food court. The service was fast, staff attentive, food was pretty good and portions were more than I could handle. I would not hesitate to go back. I got rice noodles General Tso's, and teriyaki chicken. It was all pretty good.

“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. “Although it’s named “to-go” there are actually 2 tables inside for dine in with 4 chairs each. I got the lunch special and they brought my food out and gave me iced water with it! The sushi was fresh and delicious. The man who brought my food out even turned the fan on and put it in my direction. They are all super friendly! “My daughter said that she was looking to have sushi for lunch today, so we decided to give Herosame in Ardmore a try. Wow, this is one of the best sushi meals we've had in the Philly area and definitely on the Main Line. I called in our takeout order and the server who took our order was very friendly and polite as was the server who brought us our order while we waited in the vestibule. We ordered the Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box and the Lunch Triple Roll Combo. Wow! I thought they had accidentally give us another person's order as the bags were quite heavy. Both lunch specials could easily be split over two meals or at least a meal and a leftovers snack. The Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box included a small house salad, a pint of Miso Soup, 2 Shumai, a California Roll, 6 large Teriyaki Shrimp and a pint of steamed white rice. The salad was a crisp and refreshing spring mix with thinly shredded carrots and a halved grape tomato with a delicious dressing. The Miso soup was very rich and tasty. The Shumai were delicious with a nice crisp exterior, but soft, tender and enjoyable meat inside. The California Roll was huge and stuffed with super fresh crab stick and vegetables topped off with tobiko. The Teriyaki Shrimp were just a hair overcooked, but still delicious. The Three Roll Lunch Combo featured a choice of three rolls from a list of twenty different rolls so my daughter picked the Shrimp Avocado Roll, Tempura Roll and Philly Roll. All three rolls, just like my Bento Box's California Roll were huge with the Shrimp Tempura Rolls being gigantic. One piece of the tempura roll was at least twice the size of other sushi rolls I've had. Each roll was stuffed with the traditional meats and veggie fillings. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Herosame will definitely be on our family's list for future Japanese lunches and dinners!“

“I’ve been frequenting this place since early 2000’s and their consistency and simple elegance of their sushi is simply phenomenal. Even Hawaii doesn’t offer such delicious sushi without making you pay 100’s of dollars for even the mediocre. Cho Cho San is incredible, can’t give it anything less than a 10/10“

“Food was extremely good with really good prices. Portions were big and food tasted authentic, the seafood in particular was fresh when we got it and felt homemade in all the best ways possible. “First impressions, trying to park was a bit confusing I still don't know if parking where I did is right. there is a small area around the restaurant that seems like it could be parking but no lines or guidance out front. Also this place is really small looking on the outside. As soon as I walked in it felt really awkward.i almost walked back out because everyone was just staring at me. Finally after what seemed like forever the sushi chef greeted me. When I was seated the waitress took my order and served me promptly. The miso soup was delicious. The edamame tasted fresh. The prices are a bit more than what I'm use to. I also had the sushi and sashimi lunch combo. The fish tasted very fresh and cleaned very well. Which explains the price. I would come back. Give it a try.
