“Delicious donuts and breakfast sandwiches. The staff are friendly and patient - there are so many options it can be hard to decide! The cake donuts were tender and delicious. The Neapolitan raised donut is a must try. We also had breakfast sandwiches which were hot and made to order. I highly recommend stopping in!”
“Roman's Pizza is by far the best in Ligonier, PA! The owner Barry was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The pizza is a 10/10.You definitely need to stop in here during your trip to Ligonier!”
“Great find on our way down route 30. Not your standard fare. Great food flavors and combinations. My choice was their soup of the day.. Lamb chili. Also had buffalo chicken Mac and cheese at the table. Great taste and generous helping size. Will stop again!”
“My daughter and I just had a combo birthday celebration (21st/50th) at Ianni’s “Babes”. They did a fabulous job! They had the food out quickly & monitored to keep it replenished. Our waitress was phenomenal! No one waited for a drink. Always great food there & great staff. If you are looking for a place to host a party, I encourage you to check out Babes!”
“Very nice little place. First time having a crumpet! I tried the chicken salad , and the lemon curd, they were very good! Will go again to try other flavors. Had the English breakfast tea also.”
“We are so very lucky to have this sweet little coffee house in our hood! Love them and their pep rolls!Parking: Parking at the diamond is easy whether you are sticking around or grabbing to go.Kid-friendliness: Um...they have ice cream and hot chocolate! They also have lots of kid friendly foods available.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entry.”
“The food seems to be all locally sourced! Good food, just took a while to come out due to the small kitchen. Wonderful choice of drinks, but very limited food options.”
“Derry class of 82. 41th reunion was held here. Last Saturday food was great. As always . Ample room for everyone who attended Big thanks to the Connor family for being great hosts.”
“Best sourdough bread you'll ever eat. I really like the variety- always something different. The cookies are great too! You must try the pretzels when they are available.”
“Great little dive bar and the heart of Ligonier. Upstairs they have what could best be described as a museum of taxidermy. Unbelievable the amount on display. Obviously this will not appeal to many. On that note, Joe's is also still smoking. So that is something to keep in mind. It is also cash only. Regardless, I think this place is worth checking out if you happen to be in the area. Prices are great and the people are very friendly. Follow for more...”
“Love the environment, the staff is professional, and they definitely respect and do what they can to help someone out! Just need to get some live music in there once in a while!”
“Friendly clerks with to-go food options and of course, groceries. But the Tell pretzels that are sold here. They're made in Tell and they are unique in texture and flavor.”
“We heard there was a grand re-opening of Fox's Pizza Den in Ligonier with brand new owners and decided to give it a taste. Make note that the new owners took over, made some serious changes, and reopened this establishment on 3/20/23. So if you are looking at any old negative reviews before this date, pay no attention to any of those and seriously give them a re-try.We haven't had much luck with other Fox's Pizza Dens with consistency and customer service, but we were driving in the area and decided to give this Fox's a try. We were greeted immediately by one of the new owner Andrew and were planning on dining half in and bringing the other 1/2 of the pizza home. The pizza was quickly made by their older daughters and staff and served with a smile by their youngest sweet daughter, Ariana. It was the best looking Pizza that I have seen in a long time! We ordered the Big Daddy Pizza, pepperoni, and sausage. It came to about $27. Now I have ordered pizza from other places and you know you pay for each individual topping. But what surprised me with this pizza was that my pizza was generously loaded with our toppings! Like, my family cringes when we have to pay so much extra at other places, and you're lucky to get 2 pepperoni on each slice. Every bite was deliciously loaded, and the flavors blended well. Pure perfection! What I also loved about this establishment was the owners Andrew and his lovely wife Shela, also own a non-profit organization called Heros Never Alone. Their love for military veterans is also shown in their decor in Fox' dining room. A stunning wooden American flag that was locally made for them covered one wall, while table decorations in red, white, and blue are displayed on their tables and in their store front window. In their store front window, they show tribute to the veterans and also law enforcement. I was told that if I wanted to bring an 8x10 picture of my husband who served, they would display it. Their hope is to get as many pictures of veterans as possible so they can line their business walls with it. How special is THAT!?! Parking can be hard for all the businesses in Ligonier as there are parking meters everywhere you turn and you have to park and walk to your destination. This was no exception. However, if you are short that quarter, they are happy to provide one to you without worry. They said they do this because you are choosing to do business with them, you chose them for your meal. They also have a beautiful dining area outside with tables and chairs for when the weather gets nicer, you can choose to take your food outside. The atmosphere was positive from the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out! Bravo Fox's Pizza Den in Ligonier! I know they are going to contribute something positive to their local community, all while helping military veterans at the same time!”
“A hidden Gem! Highly recommended, the pizza is delicious & the open face turkey sandwich & potato’s are a must! First time here can’t wait ti get back!”
“We were running short on time but this was the best decision we could have made. The steak and shrimp taco as well as the beef tostada were amazing. Would come here every week if I wasn't just visiting.”
“Joey was spot on ? the music box could have been turned up a bit when my songs came on. It seems like when I play music my songs get turned down to where you can barely hear them but other songs that other people play are loud ?????”
“International cuisine day; the Georgian food was wonderful. Khacauiri (cheese bread) was delicious! Had the taragan beef stew, also delightful. Greatest service. Well be back!”
“Always a cozy country atmosphere. So happy to bring a friend as a new customer. A sunny sunday brunch stop to a packed house. That tells you something when tables and parking lots are full. Chose a simple appetizer as a main course of locally made goisa's peroghi elevated with caramelized onion and a mustard sour cream smear. Delicious and filling. A beautifully fresh salad with fruit pieces and whole almonds. Circled with a sweet riccotta. Seriously, found in so many restaurants but much more high end with the special touches. The server was attentive and delightful. Just an over-all wonderful visit.”
“This is the only place I get coffee in all of Westmoreland county. Kingfisher makes an incredible cup of coffee. The shop is family-owned, and the staff is lovely. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an excellent cup of coffee in Ligonier or the greater Westmoreland county area. Also - support local!!!”
“Stopped in last week and had a great experience. The young woman who helped me did a great job and had a friendly positive attitude and a smile. The food was good and the place was clean. I cant give a subway more than 4 stars so great job.”
“I ordered a cake from Carly’s Cakery for my sister’s gender reveal party. The cake turned out absolutely amazing!! Both taste and presentation were off the charts. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. I will definitely be calling Carly’s Cakery for all my cake needs moving forward. You will not be disappointed if you order from her!! I”
“The young man who took my order over the phone was so polite on the phone, and even when I went in to pick my order up he was just as polite in person and had a smile on his face. Didn't get his name but has dark hair and glasses. He is definitely an asset to the business! Will be back for more of their food as have never had a bad experience there!”
“Memories of eating here over a decade ago held true with a fantastic meal. Enter curved door breezeway and send some electrons to a mystery person who remotely unlocks the inner door. A large fireplace and sitting room great you. A knowledgeable “more than bartender” will give you thoughts on the best beverage to go with your meal. I throughly enjoyed the Portobello ravioli with stroganoff sauce. Each bite was savored and the addition of fillet tips completed the dish. The Vina Robles Cabernet Sauvignon paired very well with both my dish and my wife’s filet. After finishing our meals we sat by the fire before heading home.Parking: You can park at the Getaway cafe on Rt. 30 and walk up the steps or in the lot off the higher side road.”
“We received a gift card was excited because I always wanted to try it. We were not disappointed. The food outstanding, our server whose name escapes me I think it was Kelley was so friendly and efficient. The view awesome . The owners were so friendly. I absolutely recommend everyone to stop there. It was absolutely ”
“Shooting Leah and Ryan's wedding at Green Gables Restaurant was incredible. From the cozy interiors to the magical tree adorned with twinkling tea lights, Green Gables Restaurant offers a plethora of stunning locations for capturing unforgettable wedding photos.”
“Best pizza that I have had in a long time. As someone who has an interest in old houses, I also love the atmosphere. Mia was very accommodating and very pleasant to talk to ?. This place is the best hidden gem in Ligonier.”
“Best ice cream in Westmoreland county that’s for sure. Tastes way better than Dairy Queen and made with better and safer ingredients! Love the ligonier creamery.”
“Great variety. Service from the friendly staff was on point, and the display of the large variety will make your mouth water. I opted for a peanutbutter gob and a whole peacan pie. Both were very good but lacked the wow factor. In other words, I have had better but were not turned off by the taste.I do recommend that if you are in the area, it is a must stop.”
