Let’s start with the staff and owners very professional, fun and caring they make you feel welcomed anytime you walk in. Honestly you can tell the staff are like family and you just feel like you’re apart of it when you’re here. The food portions and pricing is great not many places in the area can you get a portion where you feel you got your money worth the fact the pricing isn’t tremendous makes it more attractive. The quality of the food is great rotating specials lets you try new things which are always cooked right. You are missing out not trying the boatyard at least once.“

“My favorite place in Jim Thorpe! Yesterday, my friend and I stopped in for lunch and despite being super busy, we were able to be seated at the bar. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and the food and cocktails were on point! We can’t wait to come back next time we are in town.“

“We stopped by with our friends after a day of snow tubing! We didn’t have reservation but they accommodated us! They have an amazing kids menu! They treated our kids so well! We got Christmas flights and pizza! The food and drinks were amazing.

“I love everything about Thunderhead! from date night, to casual dinners, and parties. We've been patronizing them since they opened. Thunderhead has some of the best curated cocktails around. I just hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband this past weekend, and everything was perfect. Their Antler Room that is used for parties is so beautiful. Our entire family loved the atmosphere, the food, and the service. Meredith was wonderful to work with to plan the gathering along with the staff that took care of our drinks and extras. 💓“

“Out of all the eateries in the greater Slatington area, SMT has got to be the highest of my recommendations. the place is absolutely fantastic, in both food and service. Not only is it a rustic bar complete with trivia nights and a pool table, but everything is delicious and always served with the highest priority of the customer's requests. The service is perfect, as well. always friendly and accommodating. they all periodically check up on tables, they're known to stop for a quick chat without ignoring their other patrons, and they're completely genuine. For those going, I recommend asking for Kerri. I've had several servers over my visits, all are great, but Kerri has simply been the best. It's at a point where I dont even have to order because she knows exactly what im getting. It's clear she puts her customers first, and it shows. overall, an excellent establishment.“
