“My wife, our son Declan, and myself stopped in for lunch around 1 on a Saturday. Service was great and they were very accommodating to our 9 1/2 month old son, providing a high chair as soon as we were getting seated. The staff was very friendly and engaged us in light conversation. We got a medium pizza with italian sausage that was absolutely amazing and cheese ravioli with meat sauce, also very delicious. The restaurant has a very cozy, traditional feel that we loved. “We often order delivery from here and are always impressed with the quality of the food, the quantity, and the speed of delivery. Tonight it was chicken parmigiana with angel hair and a side salad with fried zucchini as an appetizer for me, while my dad did the build-your-own-pasta with gnocchi and carbanara (bacon, mushroom cream) sauce and caesar salad. They said it would be an hour and it was only 30 minutes. I don't know how the fried zucchini travels and still arrives crispy, but they do it, and it's awesome, large slices, very generous, like a whole zucchini, with crisp, though not too thick, breading. It does not include a dip, only lemon wedges, but I have ranch dressing here. The chicken parmigiana was two large breasts, breaded, moist, and smothered in sauce and cheese. The side salads are generous with a thick slice of cucumber, grape tomato, red onion, and lettuce (the caesar - not real authentic but good - with croutons, black olives, grape tomatoes, lettuce, and parm cheese). We are never disappointed and always have leftovers. The one time something was wrong with our order, they promptly came back with what was missing and gave us a credit. Try the focaccia pizzas for a week's worth of great food! Highly recommended!!!“

The scallops were browned in butter, tender and succulent. The pasta was hand made. The Italian bread was home made. My friend’s spaghetti bolognese was pilled high and mighty tasty. Even the pairing of wine suggestions were spot on. The father and son do most of the cooking and baking. And they are Italians. We tried the Pizza Del Re (white pizza) and Pizza Della Casa (red pizza), and both lived up to the hype! Pizza Del Re: - White pizza with mozzarella, truffle spread, & prosciutto (it comes with mushrooms too, but we got it without because my boyfriend doesn't like mushrooms) - A super rich truffle taste that was so yummy - Loved the thin crust, but there were parts that tasted a little too burnt Pizza Della Casa: - Red tomato sauce pizza with mozzarella, grape tomatoes, arugula, prosciutto, & parmigiano - I love the combination of prosciutto & arugula and it was a plus that the arugula tasted so fresh & wasn't bitter - I personally prefer red sauce over white sauce, so I liked this pizza a little bit more To top off your meal here, make sure to get their gelato for dessert! “My husband and I have been wanting to try a new pizza spot, and seeing as we pass by Pizza IQ all the time, I decided we should give them a shot. I checked out their online menu, and I not only noticed that they have the option to order online but that they have a ton of options to choose from! This place has a good handful of sandwiches, sides, pizzas, and even macaroni and cheese dishes to choose from! My husband and I placed an online order for pickup the other day. We ordered a bacon pizza with a hot honey drizzle, an extra cheese pizza with a garlic butter drizzle, an italian hoagie, and an order of their white queso macaroni and cheese. I'd say overall the food was a solid 9/10. You could really taste the garlic butter on the cheese pizza and the hot honey on the bacon pizza. The hot honey, however, isn't spicy at all, and I'm wondering if it's just suppose to be warm? The macaroni and cheese was surprisingly good! Had more cheese sauce on it than I thought there would be! My husband said his hoagie was good too! Overall the wait time for pickup was super fast. We placed the order and drove to the restaurant pretty much immediately after placing the online pickup order and 15 minutes later it was hot and ready! They also have a designated window for online order pickups too! Very fast and convenient for sure! We loved the food and fast service, and after seeing the intriguing menu options on their website, it's safe to say we'll be returning to try some other items! “It was cool to see this place transform from Howard's Pub to Harold's Haunt. The small little changes are great and made the space feel very inclusive. They have a small beer selection with some good choices. There are also rotating cocktail and mocktail menus. There's an outdoor patio in the back that's nice. The food menu is on the smaller side but had some nice choices; the five dollar grill cheese got the job done when we needed to refuel. Good spot to stop at before or after a show at Mr.Smalls.“

One notable thing about the pizza here is that they use cornmeal on the bottom of the pizza crust. I'm a fan of cornmeal on the bottom of the crust and I don't see that used much on the pizzas I've eaten locally or while traveling. Not that I've never eaten a pizza with cornmeal on the bottom, but it's been rare. It gives it a nice added crisp/crunch and a tiny nuance of flavor too. The cheese, sauce and crust were all of good quality, and the pizza itself was cooked perfectly. (Pizza is pictured) Slices of the pizza didn't flop in my hand, so the crust definitely has some body to it. All-in-all, I'd order from here again. “What a charming little place. My friend and I dined here for a little “girls’ night out”, and I’m so thankful that we did. Our server, Kelsey, made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. The atmosphere is cozy, bright, and inviting. Both of us got seafood pasta dishes, and I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing so I could have leftovers! The tiramisu was delicious…and a very hefty portion size of it, too. We split a bottle of wine from their shop next door, and Kelsey brought it to our take for us so we didn’t have to move. “Love the food and the place is always packed with people. The staff is not always up to par depending on who is working and how they are feeling but that is how it works in the service industry. The last time I ordered I just wanted to pick up 3 canolis as they are the BEST I have ever had at any restaurant or bakery but was told that I cannot do that they were too busy. So I went in to order them and again was told that I could not order anything to take out . After explaining the situation that I was told over the phone I could come in and order them they did get my food for me. $27 is a bit much for 3 canolis but they are great and I wanted them. Dining in is your best option but I would call ahead and make a reservation as it is a small place and often extremely busy.“

“I have been a long time customer of Aiello’s in Squirrel Hill, going back to when Giuseppe opened the shop and this was my first visit to the North location. I was not disappointed. I stopped to get a pizza before going to watch the Super Bowl with friends. There was plenty of room to park in the parking lot. As I entered, I noticed the brightly lit dining room with plenty of seating available. I had called ahead, and my pizza was ready on my arrival. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this location accepted credit cards, because the Squirrel Hill location is cash only. I paid for the pizza and proceeded to my friends’ house. The pizza itself was pretty much identical to what is served in Squirrel Hill. There was plenty of red sauce, but not overpowering. With just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni as well. The consistency of the dough was as expected, not chewy, but also not overdone. Overall, the taste was exactly the same as I was used to from Squirrel Hill.
