“This is my first time getting food from there and I was pleasantly shocked. The shrimp dumplings w/dipping sauce was delicious and the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice was so fresh and tasty.

We stayed until closing.

“First we heard about it from friends, than we watched the Netflix documentary and later we decided to check it out and we were surprised by been hosted by chef Cristina!! No reservations and no waiting line when we got there on a Sunday for lunch.
We had the best experience in a long time and the lamb tacos were amazing. Perfect food, ambience and great service. Price very reasonable.”

I got the Sammy, Honeysuckle Latte and 1/2 dozen Pasteis de Nata. Got there at 9:45 on a Sunday and they were out of the Bolas. Darn! They do get busy, so plan on waiting 15-45min. But they have your order out pretty fast once you order. Very efficient kitchen.
I’ll be going earlier next time because there will definitely be a next time and another next time etc…

“After discovering the restaurant in March, I had to return for my birthday in August. So my husband and I made the 3-hour drive to Philly just so I could eat at Monster Vegan twice in one day. The food was consistently delicious. I could eat the eggrolls and tacos every day. The service was wonderfully inviting. The vibe is great during the day but the evening totally elevates it. I’m also thankful for their mocktail menu is just as creative as the rest of their drink menu and not just a spirit-free mojito. It’s my favorite restaurant and will gladly make the trek to Philly again just to visit Monster Vegan.”

“I recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a dinner at Elwood with family and friends. Chef Adam and Jenny were wonderful to work with and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the venison scrapple amuse bouche. We shared several orders of perogies and cheese platters to kick off the meal, followed by a couple of orders of the tri- tip beef, the sea bass, and the rabbit, which are served family style with a whole host of accompaniments, including exceptional mashed potato that got rave reviews and deserves it's own mention. Several of the diners had never had rabbit, but they all tried it and it was a hit! I already have plans to come with some friends for an afternoon tea, and my husband and I will definitely be back for dinner and/or one of the dining events that Chef Adam hosts. Adam & Jenny, thank you for my birthday dinner one to remember!💖”

“An easy 5 stars! Every bite of our omakase dinner was delicious. Very fresh fish! Service was attentive and it was spectacular getting to watch the chef work his magic up close. The ambiance was pleasant. I also appreciated that they accommodated my husband and I as pescatarians.

You can definitely tell they put love into their food and pride themselves on great presentation. BYOB with great mixers and smoothies. The service was very attentive and friendly. “Pasta making class Olivia was excellent. She understands the regions of Italy and was able to prep and explain with ease and grace. A participant asked about cacio e pepe, which was not on the agenda, and Olivia quickly prepared the basic but difficult to nail sauce. It was spot on. Would def recommend HBB to friends and family. One suggestion though - supplying guests with aprons would be helpful!”
