“Solid place, nice bar, clean, etc. Pizza there is meh, but the mains are great, usually a decent beer lineup, wine options are solid and they make a great cocktail.”
“This place is slamming!! Best Philly Pizza I've ever had. Can't wait to try the fried brussel sprouts. Guys we're nice and friendly and the Pizza is everything you need in life.”
“One of my all-time favorite restaurants. Consistent quality food and really nice people. They are even willing to help me practice my Spanish sometimes. But more importantly, the food is freaking delicious every time. Highly recommended!!”
“Probably the largest assortment of flavors I’ve ever seen at a Rita’s! Outside seating and two parking lots on each side of the building. I mean they have 8+ ice cream flavors and like 12+ water ice flavors! Never seen so many opinions at any Rita’s. The crew here is super friendly mostly young adult with an adult supervisor who is kind and professional too! This is the Rita’s I go to when I want something new, unexpected or unusual lol trust me there’s so much to choose from! Clean outside but doesn’t stay that way for long - this place get packed! So go early and if on the weekends get ur to go home with lol this is a family place tons of variety for the lil ones.”
“Love this cute little coffee shop! I ordered a white mocha chai latte and an everything bagel with cream cheese. The service was excellent. My beverage was so delicious and exactly what I wanted and the bagel was perfect. My cousin for the crumb cake and a coffee and she said the cake was just the perfect amount of sweetness. I’m not a fan of most local coffee shops because I never find a coffee or chai I fall in love with so best believe, I will be back for some more chai!”
“My husband and I love it here! The menu is ever changing and always has a great mix of approachable and creative dishes. Portions are large and we always have leftovers. The cheesesteak is maybe the best I have ever had, and I don’t usually go for them! It is somehow perfect for both a casual meal or a fancy date night- truly the best of both worlds.”
“Favorite speakeasy in Philly. No ability to make reservations though which is annoying. I would go more often if I knew I could make a reservation and not have a rude hostess say there’s a 2 hour wait. Go on a weekday.”
“Great food, friendly and accommodating staff. I come every time I have an out of town guest and I am never disappointed! Also appreciated how they made my mom's bday special with complementary champagne. Highly recommend!!”
“Royal Izakaya is in a class of its own. My wife and I have come for dinner a few times, but this past week we did the Omakase for the first time, and it was truly an incredible and unique experience.Jesse is front and center with just 8 people in this intimate setting, and you can tell he enjoys the interaction with the guests, as well as getting a chance to explain each offering.Every single bite that we had was a mouth watering experience.I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you get the chance to go - GO!”
“We had the best valentines dinner! The restaurant is cozy and intimate with amazing service; it was also awesome that we could BYOB! After some fluffy potato rolls, we split the buttery striped bass. The family style meal (complete with sides!) tasted like the perfect, elevated meal featuring humble PA ingredients. LOVED trying all the different pickles!! Thank you for a very special meal! We will be back for tea service :)”
“Very small intimate space with the open kitchen directly on the floor. Had an incredible experience here! The staff was super friendly and bantered with us all night. The stand out to me was the scallop toast, it practically melts in your mouth. Though everything we had was excellent flavor and presentation wise. I will absolutely be back!”
“It was one of the best eating experiences I had in a long time food was excellent service was impeccable the atmosphere was a very modern very exciting place to eat definitely a need to ”
“Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. Food was 10 out of 10, drinks 10 out of 10 and service was prestige. Bartenders were knowledgeable on the food as well as recommending drinks. Everyone was having a good time. It may look expensive but you get a massive "app" platter, fresh pita, and dessert at the end. If you and one person just had two meat or veggie choices and no alcohol you'd pay under $100. We had the Salman Shishlik and the Koobideh. Can't rave enough, go check it out for yourself ! There's a reason why it's hard to get a reservation. If you're bar people, get there 15/20 minutes early. First come first serve”
“One of the best places in philly. Great vibes and atmosphere. The outdoor space is what beats it for me. Its just the perfect place to be if you are around the area.”
“Philadelphia is famous for many restaurants, chief among them the Starr restaurants line up, which are difficult to beat. But there's one restaurant that actually can! Suraya. It's a modern yet authentic Lebanese restaurant, with a stunning ambiance and even better food & drinks. You can't go wrong with any of their offerings but my personal favorites are:- Muhammara- Fatteh- Arnabeet Mekle- Djej Meshwi- Samke HarraFor drinks, try the Poet. It's not the cheapest place and you probably should drive there (not conducive for public transportation) but it's worth all the trouble! There is a dedicated paid parking lot just behind the restaurant for $15.This is an absolutely must try place, period.”
“During our trip to Philadelphia we had lunch at this wonderful restaurant. The spring rolls, red curry and massaman curry were all delicious. And the prices are very friendly. Definitely ”
“Food was really good. Drinks were amazing. Service was decent. I liked that they highlighted the fact that the 20% tip was included in the initial bill.Dietary restrictions: Lots of yummy vegan choices”
“A total Fairmount treasure! Wings are among the best I’ve eaten in Philly, and so flavorful. Glad I opted for 7 instead of a dozen, because they are gigantic; so juicy, meaty, and crispy. Perfectly salty fries with delicious aioli are also truly some of the best spuds. They’re thick af but still manage to achieve that elusive crisp exterior and fluffy interior. I’m picky about caesar salad but my caesar side was again…one of the best caesars. Yes, there’s no doubt a trend to this meal. The Dancing Gnome on draft delivered and our server was terrific. Hope to return in a week or two for one of their glorious burgers! God bless Bad Brother.”
“Every dish was incredible. Just what we were looking for. My husband had the oysters and the scallops, I had the ceviche and sea bass. All fantastic. Impeccable service. Fun to eat at the open kitchen counter and watch the cools do their thing. I'd visit again.”
“Bought shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, esquites, chicken tacos and guacamole. The only downside is that the chicken tacos were made with dark chicken thigh meat, I wrongly assumed it would be chicken breast (my fault for not asking).Otherwise good decent food!”
“The baked goods are SO FRESH we came in at 10 am and got the ham and egg, taro bun, pork bun, danish, and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was so tasty the pork buns and taro buns are the best thing!! Id have an idea of what you want before you go in, theres a lot of options and its a bit of a tight space that gets crowded easily. Pineapple bun isn’t filled I think fyi. Bring cash if you can its just easier and probably cheaper.”
“Arguably one of the best plated breakfast you can find in Philadelphia! Everything is always beautiful.Parking: Parking on a weekday is not hard but on the weekends. When there's a brunch rush on this spot and honey's sit and eat, you might have to park a block away.”
“My cousin got this recommendation. It could not have been a better choice. Food, vibe, service was top tier. It was a great dining experience. Adding this to my list of favorites in Philly!!!”
“Great spot and they have an outside space as well! We enjoyed some coffee and paninis outside on an unexpected warmer day. The service was amazing! Highly recommend and plan to be ”
“Oh man! I didn’t know I needed this place in my life but here we are! The Pastéis De Nata was perfect, the iced chai was incredible, and the Antonio breakfast sandwich was everything you’d want from a sandwich. Nothing was left on the plate!”
“Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian dishes, but I knew that going in. It's a Southern inspired restaurant with a heavy focus on meat and seafood dishes - ribs, chicken, short rib, crawfish, shrimp, etc. I made it work and was not the least bit disappointed. The service was excellent and the drinks were delicious. The blue cheese stuffed olives in the martini were incredible.”
“Solid pizza, first time I didn't need to ask for more spice. The angry pizza was perfectly cooked, Delicious crispy dough on the edges, semi rigid in the middle. Thai chili was tasty!”
“Definitely the best omakase in Philly!! Quaint bar setting BYOB! Right up close great sushi masters. No special occasion just decided to have sushi with my son. Every course was outstanding! Flavors were amazing. I love seeing the reactions of the other patrons as the eat the courses! Will definitely be back many time hopefully. Well worth the drive great neighborhood ample parking. Beware of the non descript building. At $158 you will be very satisfied with every bite. The ala carte menu has some great add ins priced accordingly 20-38$. They offer hot and cold tea as well as a few soft drinks and water.Parking: Parking down the street metered cash or credit card. Get the appWheelchair accessibility: Same level as street.”
“the wait time for a table was around 15-20 minutes on a Tuesday, the food made up for it with tasty dishes served in right portions. However, the service was inconsistent, depending on which server you got. One notable downside was the automatic 20% tip charged for parties of four or more, which felt a bit steep given the varying service quality. Overall, while the food was satisfying, the service and pricing policy left something to be desired.”
“Chestnut Hill & Wyndmoor have been in desperate need of a great sweet green style salad place. After my first salad from Froot, I'm so happy!! I bet it keeps getting better as they work out the ordering and process but my salad was excellent!”
