“Took my mom here for dinner tonight after the recommendation of a friend. I got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and carrots and she got the meatloaf. The food was excellent, the staff was very attentive and nice. We ended are meal with a piece of the baklava cheesecake (honestly the best piece of cheesecake I've ever had), before the check was even brought my mom was already making plans to bring her brother and his wife. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends highly recommend.“
“I don't know where to start, but, what I can say is as a foodie I've been to alot and I mean ALOT of restaurants. And this place, these people, their food??? top notch I felt family, I walked out hugging their family Serena was my waitress so attentive went above and beyond Emily was the owner and spent so much time with us made sure that our experience was memorable and I can now call her a friend I can't say enough about these people and how I highly suggest that everybody stop here and meet them but try there amazing food I started off with a meatball appetizer stuffed mushrooms both were fantastic our dinners where salmon with pasta the blackened salmon was probably the best I've ever had the other dinner was cacio e pepe with shrimp absolutely fantastic as well creamy sauce pasta cooked perfectly! We had smoked old fashioned they brought this metal box smoker onto the table that smelled amazing which included the old fashioned inside I think that it was pretty neat I also had a Godfather which was Jack Daniels and amaretto which tasted very good as well they bring you fresh baked bread and homemade oil and balsamic dipping sauce what states did so so good and also gave me fresh bread to take home and sauce and they ended up giving us a cannoli which tasted fantastic as well they are known for their eight layer lasagna that they happen to run out of when we got there so I end up making the trip again even though it was an hour and a half drive to Monessen it was well worth the drive I can't say enough about these people in their business and their food I highly recommend them if you go just tell them that I sent you and let me know about your experience as well!“
“Get the gnocchi in red sauce - trust me. Hand made fluffy pillows of goodness. The salad is also amazing. Love their house dressing (even bought some to-go to take home and use on my own salads) can’t recommend this place enough. Risotto ball appetizer is really good too.“
“We went here on a whim because another place a few towns over was booked solid. I agree, they need to make their "cash only" policy more evident upon arrival. My wife and I got side salads, and the house dressing was vinegar forward - I liked that, but some mightn't. Our friend shared his order of Awesome Blossom Petals, and they were good. I got the Italian sausage bake. It's a lot, and it was good, but not so good that I'm interested in reheating the to-go leftovers. Our waitress was nice. It was weird that the hostess and the waitress were sitting at the dining table next to us when they weren't waiting on us. They have tripe, so they're still on the "I'll probably go back to check that out" list.“
“Visited this fine establishment with some friends and I must say, the food is amazing. The venue is for fine dining and is small and quaint. So make sure you make a reservation or you will find yourself out of luck. It can also be pricey but with what you get it's well worth a special night with your spouse or small group. I had the Lobster Romano which was amazing. And my wife had the filet mignon. She's already asking to return for her birthday. Everything here is quality. A+“
“I have been waiting to try Uncle Koko's for months - and it was definitely worth the wait! Their woodfired pizza is terrific! When I try a new pizza joint, I always have a straight up plain / margherita pie so I can get a good taste of their base pizza - and Uncle Koko's is probably the best brick oven / wood fired pizza I have ever had! The crust was well cooked on the bottom, but not burnt. The sauce is extremely tasty, not bland. The cheese is perfect - no grease at all! The guys behind the counter were great, and the custom horror paintings decorating the small dine in area are amazing! This place is well deserving of every 5 star review!“
“Chef Salvatore of Salvatore's Pizza and Pasta - Brooklyn's Finest in Rostraver Twp, PA deserves praise for his delicious entrées and pizza. We were too busy to eat in, so we ordered takeout. Our order was substantial and offered three separate dinners for us to enjoy. The pizza was delicious! The handmade sauce and crust were delectable, and YES!!! I KNOW there are an insane number of pizza places within a 5-mile radius, BUT NOT ALL PIZZA IS THE SAME, and it's occasionally good to mix things up. Then there was baked ziti, chicken parmesan, meatballs, and garlic knots. Mouthful of Italian bliss!!! The chicken was tender and flavorful. The meatballs were out of this world. No matter what you are in the mood for they have it. Their specials are always something new and exciting. I always start off with a side salad with their homemade ranch.
