“Sushi was pretty good, best egg Rolls, and wonton soup was great. Lemon chicken had the best lemon sauce I've ever had probably though chicken was a little too thin/dry but breading was good. If the chicken was a little thicker it would have been the perfect consistency.

The general tsos chicken was very overcooked and chewy, and moo goo gai pan was somewhat bland (though the dish usually kinda is anywhere) with too much corn starch making it gloopy rather than saucy, but everything in that dish was cooked perfectly.

They have a nice big menu with decent prices except for a few of their special dishes. They are known to be gluten free friendly. Ate twice and bf had no issues.

“Today was very crowded, as expected, since it was Mother's Day. There was a "special" menu today for a slightly higher fee ($22), but it was to include Crab Legs that they rarely have. I go there 1-2 times/month. I was a bit skeptical about the quality and replenishment of the Crab Legs. Oh, my!!! They were fantastic and constantly replenished. This was fantastic! “Ever since I moved to the area I have not been able to find any “real good” Chinese food. Got takeout from here tonight to give my 4th place a try…. And all I can really say is this was amazing. The vegetable lo mein was very tasty and great portion size. The cheese wontons were cooked perfectly (perfect crunch and flavor), the white rice was cooked well and the general Tso’s was very good as well. Definitely recommend.“

“Not bad for Chinese fastfood. I am obsessed with the cream cheese rangoons! It is the only place I can find them without crab in them. Ideally, like anything,) they are better made fresh rather than kept warm under a heat lamp. The Beyond orange chicken has a hint of spice without being too overpowerful or giving that uncomfortable "your lips are going to burn off" feeling lol

“As someone who grew up outside of NYC, I am very particular about Chinese take out. No. 1 Chinese Kitchen in the Penn Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh is a solid 9/10. Egg rolls were crispy and delicious. The soups are outstanding (tried egg drop & hot and sour) and the dumplings are on par with an absolutely outstanding garlic dipping sauce. Entrees are very good, but I've only tried two - egg foo young and sesame chicken. Egg foo young is on par with NYC - will definitely get again!! Sesame chicken is a touch too sweet, but I prefer more savory over sweet dishes. Will definitely get take out from them again!!“

I ordered a few times now and the food is good for the price. I'd say most things I ordered were a 9 out of 10 and I liked them. So far egg foo young and the cream cheese rangoons were the best things, seasame chicken was really good too!! “Taipei is by far the best sushi and Chinese restaurant in the Fox Chapel area. The servers are courteous and the specialty sushi rolls are noticeabley larger and tastier than Jimmy Wan's. In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. Every bite was delish. The portion size was large and could probably feed another me. I have no idea what my boyfriend ordered but he ordered an entire fish and it came with a glove, Their crab rangons might be the best that I've had in the city. I can't wait

But rice tasted like it was made days ago and reheated. But it was just white rice.“
