“We came here during restaurant week, and the servings are just enough for each member of the group to try. This restaurant serves great food that makes you want to appreciate every bite. Sampan is linked, and this location is typically busy. Since the dining room was downstairs, there was a kind of nice corridor leading to it. You and your group can choose from a small variety of dishes to share at the table during restaurant week, with some items having an additional fee. There was a stronger romantic vibe. Here, the Kobe beef is a great choice.“
“The food here is absolutely incredible. Just next level sushi that makes you not want to eat sushi from anywhere else. That RICE is just perfect. Also if you're lucky enough to snag a spot at the Omakase then you're in for a REAL treat. :)“
“My daughter took me here and I have to say it was every thing I could have asked for. A true experience to say the least. The cocktails were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is above reproach. I can not wait to bring my husband when we come back. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.“
“The atmosphere, service and food is awesome and it is such a great VIBE. Altogether.AmazingAnother evening at Jazz South, this evening was just the dining and as before, they are excellent. The food, music, service, all around an excellent dining experience!“
“The intent is clear and well executed. It didn't seem like a place that aims to put pizza on a pedestal rather a well put together representation of desired traits specific to the Philadelphia dining scene. The pizza leaned towards a bar pie, that was executed by someone who has a devout understanding of the dough and the other ingredients involved. The soft serve was well spun and tasty. Overall the hype is real and was a real joy to visit!“
“My girlfriend and I decided to come in for happy hour and I’m so happy we did! The food and cocktails were delicious but we were really blown away by the service. Our server, KB, was incredible. She was on top of everything, knowledgeable, personable, and gave great recommendations. We can’t wait to come back!“
“This is a spot for cool people, you will know when you walk in- that’s the vibe. I’m not that cool though and I felt welcomed (that’s usually how cool people make you feel). Anyways, the pickletini is dangerous, my friend had like 7 one time. I like this place!“
“Really cool bar to drink local spirits. The bartenders were super nice and let us try a couple different things we were interested in. Cocktails were really good. I would definitely go back. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was super chill but I can imagine that it gets really noisy as soon as it fills up. Also you can bring your own food, since they don’t have a kitchen, so that’s really cool!“
“Meaning 'cozy' in Danish, this place lives up to its name. It's one of our go-to's in the neighborhood and they've been so consistent over the years. Great brunch/dinner menu + craft brews coupled with a welcoming staff and ambiance.“
“Had not eaten the food, so I can't comment. But having worked as a fine dining bartender in Los Angeles, I was blown away by their cocktails. Their menu made the mixology need in me geek out. My friend and I went there for a quick drink between movies on Christmas day. And we were very pleased with the experience.“
“The ambiance is very relaxing here and moderately upscale. Decor gives you the feel of being in Cuba. The food was well seasoned. There are not many options if you don't eat pork or seafood, unfortunately. Drinks are a bit overpriced and lack the wow factor, just spring for the lemonade instead.“
“So I had such a great time at this place it was super fun. The atmosphere was full of laughter, the drinks were super affordable and the bartender even gave my sis and I complimentary drinks. It was very diverse which I loved everyone was just having a good time, it was a night of complete fun. Also the Assman license plate is priceless I love Seinfeld“
“Great food & drinks! My boyfriend loves That Nicholas Cage. Like coming here for a late night, fancy stop. It’s very small & cozy. Bartenders are cool. Definitely on the pricey side (food that is). The cigarettes are a cool touch. Although I don’t smoke, “
“Ok----Food is yummy...Beverage options are endless....Vibe is epic...Service is off the charts!!!But hands down..The staff is BEYOND FABULOUS!!!!Izyah took amazing care of us at the table and I must give aHuge shout-out to DANA!!She is a treasure!!She has her finger on the pulse of everything in the enormous space and makes sure it runs smoothly. What a happy place!Thank you!!“
“Awesome experience. Very clean, open and overall fantastic. The dogs had plenty of room to roam and were pleasant. Both the waitstaff and management were fantastic and the food is amazing. Best brussels sprouts I have ever had, and that should tell you about the rest of the menu. Highly recommend!“
“A must try hidden gem in the neighborhood. Unique Belgian beers and stouts. Must try the Hercule Stout if you have beef of any kind. Don't underestimate the vegan seitan sandwich. Packed with umami flavor and very satisfying. Wife had the Steak Frites salade and really enjoyed it. Dessert was the lime pie - very tart and very good.“
“Cool vibe, friendly service, I love the logo! We arrived as happy hour was changing over and quickly ordered. We found that our happy hour tacos we considerably less enjoyable than the ones we ordered after happy hour concluded. Fun spot, certainly would go before a show at Union Transfer.“
“Visited for lunch on a sunny Sunday. Solid wine and beer list and fantastic food! The only downside was that there is limited seating and we were near the windows. The sun was streaming in and there was no window shade. Not only were we warm, we ate the whole meal with the sun in our eyes! I’m hoping they fix this issue bc it’s an easy fix and the food was truly delicious“
“I went here with 2 of my friends for the first time for their Happy Hour (4-7 pm). We arrived early and was seated right away. Our server Jasmine was very nice. She made great food recommendations. Drinks were delicious and so were the items for Happy Hour. We will definitely go here again. Love this place again.“
“Nice atmosphere, the waiter was really attentive, lots of options on the menu and the food came out quickly and tasted amazing. I also loved that they had a lot of different mocktails on the menu. I got Dan Dan noodles and the sunset marteani and everything was so good. Would definitely come again to try more of their “
“My hubs tried the Birria burger tonight and wow, it was so delicious. He couldn’t finish it but it will make a tasty lunch tomorrow. Love that they are mixing up their menu a little bit. I had the pappardelle which was great too, although it is so heavy. I might suggest reducing the amount of burrata and adding some vegetable to balance out the dish. We really needed some good food tonight after a few underwhelming experiences recently and StoneRose came through for us!“
“Tapas doesn’t meet my expectations. The only memorable tapas was the grilled chicken. Paella was okay. There were a generous portion of seafood and poultry on the paella but there wasn’t a crunchy bottom. And the dish was a bit on the salty side even for a Chinese myself.“
“Loved the service and the food! We had GF linguine with clams - clams were nice and tender( not overcooked like other places), Eggplant parm with spaghetti-eggplant parm was amazing - n tender, and chicken parm- excellent! Can't wait to go back to try their calamari. Lots of Vegan options too .Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian and vegan options. GF linguine is available on request.“
“Situated near the Philadelphia stadiums, PBR Bar is a sports bar gem that hits all the right notes. The ambiance is electric, with plenty of TVs for prime game viewing. What sets this place apart is bartender Max, whose impeccable service and expertly crafted cocktails elevate the experience to new heights. From classic drinks to inventive creations, Max delivers with finesse and flair. Add in a diverse menu of delicious bites, and you’ve got the perfect spot to cheer on your favorite team. Don’t miss out on PBR Bar – it’s a winning choice every time.“
“Great live storytelling event! Intimate space. Drinks were good. Try out the duck cheesesteak. It was delicious! Definitely an elevated cheesesteak. Duck was very tender. It came with fries they were ok. No salt and some were way too soft. I like a little crunch on the outside.“
“The food was excellent! I ate the nachos and veggies burrito. We ate at the upstairs bar and the bartender was great with recommendations for drinks and add-ons for food. It was funny to me that the decor is more old fashioned diner than Mexican restaurant, but it worked.“
“Wow wow wow! Fabrika is the chicest place to go on a Thursday night! The staff are classy and attentive, the dj and pianist brought the vibes, drinks and food are wonderful, and the performers are simply amazing! 10/10! burlesque show was comedic, stunning, sensual, and sparkly!“
“The facility is clean. The staff is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. With 12 simulators using the TrackMan technology, you can get your reps.A full bar and innumerable TVs throughout paired with fantastic food makes for an encompassing experience. To save money look at a membership or packages (seriously I frequent the spot 2-5x a week).“
“Literally if you live anywhere near fish town Come here !!! My fiancé and I got the meatballs and ricotta for an app AMAZING tasted like moms meatballs .. we ordered and spilt the tagliatelle with filet and truffles OH MY GOD ! My taste buds are SCREAMING I am 100% Italian and know flavors but this right here MANNNNN best thing I’ve eaten in a long long time ! Bartenders are so attentive and the atmosphere is awesome !!! Check this place out yalllll amazing“
“I recently worked as a photographer at this bar/restaurant space that was being used for a wedding. There is a small space in the back thats great for pictures and small parties. They also have a bar upstairs and ample parking across the street. The appetizers were delicious and creative. Its a nice venue to hold a small event or to have drinks/dinner.“
“This was my first experience at Kick Axe. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there from the moment we walked in. I was surprised how good the food was, but I was even more surprised with the service from our bartender, Arielle. She made me the best tropical drink I've had in years, I think it's called a painkiller. The axe throwing was great. Everyone in my party had a great time. Thank you Kick Axe, and thank you Arielle!“
“We went around the happy hour time. 4-6 pm and you have to be seated at the bar for the happy hour prices. The service was good, attentive staff. The food was good to my surprise. The crispy cauliflower and mushroom pita pizza are a must-try. The Thai chili wings and Buffalo wings were deliciously sauced, along with my margarita. The Smash burger is a must-try too. It was a cool laid-back happy hour spot. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.“
“We were recommended this play by a walking tour guide and it is really good. Great choice of food and drinks (beer flights which were fun) and the staff are really friendly and attentive. You have to try the tator tots, they’re delicious!“
“Star was a great bartender! Great conversation and the food was even better! We stumbled on this place by accident on our way to somewhere else and we were pleasantly surprised. We WILL be back soon! Can’t wait to try more items on their menu!“
“I went in for dinner with my friend, but then we decided to have happy hour, and the prices were so reasonable! Also, the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered a lot of food, and the stuffed burrata did not disappoint. The staff & bartenders were super friendly and very accommodating! I love this spot, defff need to try it if you haven’t been!“
“Absolutely thrilled with my recent visit to South Philadelphia Tap Room! The highlight of my meal was, without a doubt, their Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The soup was a perfect blend of tangy and creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning to elevate the fresh tomato flavor. Paired with a golden, crispy Grilled Cheese that was oozing with melty cheese goodness, it was comfort food at its finest. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff only added to the exceptional dining experience. A must-visit spot for anyone craving a classic with a gourmet twist!“
“Great spot for a cheap burger that is good quality. A bit under-seasoned but you get salt pepper to add. Very reminiscent of home style / back yard barbecue burgers. Hard to not have some bias for how affordable it is at 6 bucks but I don’t think it’s a burger that trumps other bar burgers flavor wise. Fries are good especially soaked in malt vinegar. Don’t really get the appeal of going after sun down when it’s pitch black inside though. Makes it super awkward when people go to the bathroom and this blaring light suddenly appears in the corner of your eye or if you go and come out from a piss to see the whole bar squinting at you because you’re a visual disturbance“
“I had my 21st birthday party at the Bayou and every single person had an amazing time! The staff is so friendly and was so communicative, really making me feel special and ensuring that the experience was great. The pricing was very affordable and If you are considering doing an event here I would 1000% recommend it! Me and my friends enjoyed ourselves so much we want to do another event there soon :).“
“Like the pocha theme, Korean street vendor. You can experience authentic popular dishes plus trending alcohol.Meaning no BYOB.They also offer bbq, which I tried pork belly, it has gotten nice thickness and fresh. You grill at the table. I've requested green lettuce and extra garlic and pepper, decent amount to enjoy the meat together.I chose their pork neck bone soup which was spicy enough to kick my taste bud, perfect paring with Soju. They bring out a portable warmer, so it keeps warm and hot.Their pork katsu is typical Korean style, the sauce is brown yet has enough seasoning, I tasted a bit of ketchup too!Sweet and sour pork was an appetizer for me, sauce poured out, moist and crispy still.Parking: The restaurant's 4 sides are their parking lot. Back side is residential.“
“So many watering holes in this area. Oscar's feels like the only campfire. I spent 2 days in Center City and came here both days. D was my bartender and welcomed me, remembered my name and my drink. Locals were beyond friendly. On a solo work trip when I felt alone without my family, I truly felt at home at Oscar's. Can't recommend bellying up and shooting the sh*t more. Love Oscar's.“
“Everything was delicious from the moment we stopped in. The aesthetic is simple clean and cute. We had the lunch combo with mayu ramen, sushi roll, fried oysters and tasty dessert Taiyaki. Affordable and prepared so tastily. Everything was served quickly and servers were attentive. I will definitely be “
“Neighborhood queer who has always had a wonderful time eating and sharing time with friends and family here. This spot is a true gem of the community, and I love going here every time. If there was a "Cheers" bar for trans and queer folks in Philly... it would be here, IMHO.“
“Great experience all around. Came with a party of 9 for a birthday and everything was lovely. Gold was fun and not insanely crowded, the restaurant was clean and the food was great. The beers were good and the cocktails were also nice. My only complaint was that the gyoza were very small, but that's a minor complaint. I'll be back.“
“Outstandingly crafted beer, good prices, laid back atmosphere that's great for visiting solo or for couples, families, or big groups. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have free WiFi and board games too! We especially loved the Polish-style beer (unique and delicious!), the Belgian Double, and their Hazy IPA. Yum, can't wait to return to try more from the draft beer list plus their draft cocktails and mead (honey wine).“
“Best burgers in the area. Hands down. Extremely creative options with fresh ingredients. The staff has also always been accommodating to my wife’s Dairy Free diet as well. Will be back and will continue to order from their carry out location too.Dietary restrictions: My wife is Diary free and the staff was took it seriously. They mostly knew how to navigate the menu for us, but was more than happy to confirm with the chef.“
“Walked over on a rainy day and found the crowd light, so we took a place at the bar. Ordered drinks and a pizza (regular pie with vegan pepperoni) and watched the first period of the Flyers Game. Pizza was excellent and we will definitely be going backVegetarian options: For vegetarians / vegans you can get pretty much the whole menu as a vegan option.“
“Front Street Cafe in Philadelphia is a beloved all-day spot in Fishtown, known for its versatile menu and comfortable backyard. It’s perfect for any time of day, from a morning latte to late-night eats. The cafe area is great for casual meet-ups, while the backyard with a second bar is ideal for when the inside gets crowded. With affordable cocktails and better-than-expected food, it’s a place that’s universally loved and perfect for literally everyone.“
“This is one of the best restaurants in Philly! The food is incredible! (Highly recommend the fried chicken). I was needing to book a large group dinner for my colleagues (29 of us) and Valerie was so easy to work with! She was able to customize the perfect pre-set menu for us to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions (I had reached out to 10 other restaurants as well and NONE would tailor anything to fit our needs like Bud + Marilyn’s would!). The set-up was gorgeous, and can I just say how nice and accommodating the entire staff was? (Special shoutout to the manager on duty that night, Jack! Jack, you are a gem and the evening was absolutely perfect). We are a fun bunch, and they would play along with us. Truly a memorable experience!“
“what an incredible refurbishment of a classic center city building!!!!!! the bar staff was great in every possible way including both johns and the beautiful young woman who was working with them on thursday night!!!!! the beer and booze selection is above reproach and just one piece of advice... if you like or love tullamore dew, don't drink the honey version“
“I'd definitely describe the place as a good bar. Apart from the spotty WiFi, the experience is very pleasant. I went there to grab some boddington and thought it is a good place to let your hair down after a long days work. If there are any improvements be made, it'll be to have fast and reliable internet. I say it not because of the spotty WiFi, but I say it because of the internet service being way out of whack. All in all, the food there is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing and above all the staff are amazing.“
