“Went for early dinner. Bar with regulars, definitely needs revamp, old but clean. Jukebox too loud not overly crowded for 4 pm on a Friday. Food was good but a bit pricey, no frills. Bartender was our server, attentive and accommodating, nice.“

I had the chicken, artichoke, pesto, penne and my husband had the forbidden rice, shrimp and bok choy dish. Both were absolutely amazing. Compliments to the chef. Our waitress was great! We live 45 minutes away but that won't stop us from returning for another fabulous meal.“

“We enjoyed our meal at Thunderhead very much! The service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating. Everyone was smiling and even chatting with our 2 year old. The food came out promptly. I had the short ribs and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked. My husband had the burger and it looked amazing. The fries were to die for! “Madeline's is a great, affordable choice if you're looking for a lovely venue for a special event! We held our wedding ceremony and reception (for 60 guests, but they can accommodate more) in the restaurant’s upstairs banquet facility. From the start of planning to the day of the wedding, both event coordinators provided incredible attention for every detail of the event: the timing and setup of the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and a special private area for the bride. The banquet facility is wheelchair-accessible, spacious, and has plenty of natural light. There’s also an outside terrace. We had a number of guests with different dietary preferences and needs, including one with severe food allergy concerns. The coordinators were especially understanding of this. Before we chose a menu or signed a contract, they made a special effort to contact the guest with food allergies, and asked specific questions to be sure the menu and venue would be safe. They helped us to feel confident that there wouldn’t be any problems from the allergens of concern, and they worked closely with us on a creative menu that everyone would enjoy. The food was superb! Both event coordinators were present on the day of the event. Everything ran smoothly, and we and our guests really enjoyed it! The entire staff was courteous and attentive, and it was a joyful, memorable day. We look forward to going back for dinner!“

“Out of all the eateries in the greater Slatington area, SMT has got to be the highest of my recommendations. the place is absolutely fantastic, in both food and service. Not only is it a rustic bar complete with trivia nights and a pool table, but everything is delicious and always served with the highest priority of the customer's requests. The service is perfect, as well. always friendly and accommodating. they all periodically check up on tables, they're known to stop for a quick chat without ignoring their other patrons, and they're completely genuine. For those going, I recommend asking for Kerri. I've had several servers over my visits, all are great, but Kerri has simply been the best. It's at a point where I dont even have to order because she knows exactly what im getting. It's clear she puts her customers first, and it shows. overall, an excellent establishment.“

“If you’re down on your luck it’s a great place to live. Jeep Cherokee has been living here for 2yrs. An rv has been here for about a year and nobody bothers you. This morning there were 8 cars that have been living there for the last week. No police activity and if they do come they are just here to say hello. They have informed that Cracker Barrel doesn’t have a problem with it so enjoy an extended stay. YOU DON’T EVEN NEED TO SPEND A DOLLAR INSIDE. Throw trash on ground and the neighbors will pick it up Free living with no consequences. We travel with a camper trailer and have done overnights in our trailer but this is an abuse of the kindness of Cracker Barrel. These people are living here rent free. Neighbors don’t know who these people are“

“This bar is like 2 miles off of main St in Palmerton. Looks like a converted house from outside but inside is very nice even cozy. Service was excellent and food was good place was clean. Ordered a burger and it was good, I did not order the wings but people next to me did and they looked and smelled delicious. Would definitely return“

“We do a lot of traveling and like to sample ice cream on our different trips. By far Claude’s Creamery has the best ice cream! It’s a very friendly atmosphere, the staff is always courteous, (a real rarity today) and is very inexpensive for a family. It’s always the bright spot on our trips to Palmerton! 5-Stars“

“What a great place! We passed through the area and stop for lunch. I had a reuben and it was amazing!! The waitress was so accommodating, sweet, and even asked the cook if the reuben could be made gluten free because I have Celiac. They have a dedicated fryer so I had wonderful french fries, too. Lovely place. Lovely food. My family, who is not gluten-free, really enjoyed their meals, too!“
