“This was my first time trying the famous Circles and Squares and wowza it was amazing! We ordered one square and two circles. The circles were great, but the square… holy crap! Amazing! Which made us deeply reflect about the naming of this shop. Discussion followed and agreement came that the shop should be called Squares and Circles showing that the squares are a lot better! We also thought about how circles are cut into triangles and would love for that shape to be considered in the naming of the shop.“

“It is rare for a brewpub to have vegan food, and I echo what others here have said about the quality and options. Owners are vegan and seemingly intend this to be sort of a vegan place with meat options without making it obvious, lol. Most pizzas can be made vegan, and the mushroom one comes drizzled with a black garlic aioli made with vegan mayo (I asked). Their flagship West Coast IPA is to die for. And the roasted broccoli appetizer was divine. Definitely a place to return to many times. The building is a former horse stable attached to a market, and we mistakenly went into the market first, but the pub is actually between the hotel and the market. Plenty of outside seating, not so much inside, so make a reservation. We went for lunch when it was not as busy. Very friendly cool staff. “I’ve been coming here since 1964 and it’s still just as good! Hands down- best pizza in Philadelphia! The brothers/brothers in law have retired, but one of the sons is carrying the legacy forward. All they sell is pizza and soda, and only beef and beef pepperoni toppings. It’s no frills, but worth the ride I make every so often from Chestnut Hill. I only wished they took credit cards and stayed open later, but I understand. If you’re a pizza snob like me, do yourself a favor and try King of Pizza?“

The food service was outstanding! Came and spoke with us several times, the chef came out, and said hello, our waitress Heather was absolutely incredible so efficient, and yet so loving! we were spoiled rotten! Everyone took home so much food because the portions were enormous. The prices were totally reasonable. I highly recommend the Sunday sauce unlike any spaghetti dinner I’ve ever had in my life, including my trips to Italy.! Thank you, Heather, Pablo, and especially Marcello!“

“Their pizza is delicious, always get a white pie with spinach and mushrooms. Unfortunately their sandwiches are not as consistent. Just ordered three Panini sandwiches. Two veggies and one bruschetta. The bruschetta was as ordered and very good. We only received one veggie Panini and got some other grilled chicken with lettuce and tomato?? Also the veggie Panini on their menu and online says grilled eggplant, instead it was two large fried pieces of eggplant on each half. Very generous sandwich but couldn’t eat most of it because of the fried eggplant.😫“

“We have found our new favorite spot! Sat outside in CHBC’s fantastic beer garden on a beautiful Saturday early evening. The Biergarten was spacious and had a great vibe and very friendly servers. Don’t forget to bring your canine best friend to this dog friendly spot. While we didn't bring a dog of our own, we loved interacting with everyone else's four-legged friends.

The food, service, and drink selection are all impressive and on point. As someone who only consumes plant-based meals, I was thrilled to find so many amazing vegan options on the menu. The vegan cheesesteak, falafel burger, and chickpea tinga nachos are all delicious and highly recommended, but they also have equally delicious options for carnivores that looked really good. We cannot wait to come back and try the pizza next time.

For drinks, I ordered non-alcoholic beer, but as a beer enthusiast at a brewery, I couldn't help but notice the impressive body, clarity, and color of the house beers being served around us. They have a great variety of appealing styles that will easily please most palates. Highly recommend this place!“

“Ordered a chicken pesto Stromboli and one of the reasons was the sun dried tomato’s. Unfortunately it came with regular tomatoes which made it watery. Sun-dried tomatoes are more expensive than plum tomatoes and the flavor is very different.if they were not available the server should have mentioned and the price should reflect the difference. Very disappointed and only had a couple bites.“

I enjoyed the pancakes and my friends enjoyed the fried chicken and waffles. The food has been consistently flavorful. I ordered the rice bowl with salmon. The portion size was generous, but the salmon was a bit overcooked. The cocktails are varied and absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. The servers have been friendly and attentive. I enjoy the Cage (bar area). It's a fun and cozy atmosphere for adults. I plan to return, soon. I love the place!“

“So my dad was born in 1959. He grew up in north wales, I did not. I was born and raised in southern delaware. My dad would bring me up to north wales as a child when he was a single parent and he would ride me all around and show me all types of things. One of the mandatory stops though was always Tony’s pizza, not only was the pizza/food absolutely amazing, you could tell they had been doing it right for a long time, but my dad had not lived in pa for nearly 2 decades and he could walk into this place and they would not only recognize him, they would come from behind the counters, hug/hand shake with him, sometimes even sit down and chat with us for a moment at our table. This is a down to earth, family oriented, pizza joint that does what they do best… FOOD & HOSPITALITY!!! Thanks for always making my dad’s day when we would walk into your shop. You don’t even know what it meant to him. 🧡“
