“I first discoverd Down North Pizza during Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary, and have been hooked ever since! The pizza is tasty with every bite, with perfectly crispy ends and great flavor! Rock the Mic is my favorite and has beef pepperoni!!! Not many pizza establishments offer beef pepperoni. The pizza may appear small at first glance, but it's definitely enough for two people and worth every penny. The cook was very friendly.“

They took the time to answer my questions, were patient while I decided what to order, and kept such a positive attitude the whole time. “I’ve been coming here since 1964 and it’s still just as good! Hands down- best pizza in Philadelphia! The brothers/brothers in law have retired, but one of the sons is carrying the legacy forward. All they sell is pizza and soda, and only beef and beef pepperoni toppings. It’s no frills, but worth the ride I make every so often from Chestnut Hill. I only wished they took credit cards and stayed open later, but I understand. If you’re a pizza snob like me, do yourself a favor and try King of Pizza?“

“I met Marcello and Kiley the week before and New Hope and they invited us to come and have dinner this weekend. We went on Friday and had the back room basically to ourselves there was 10 of us. The food service was outstanding! Came and spoke with us several times, the chef came out, and said hello, our waitress Heather was absolutely incredible so efficient, and yet so loving! we were spoiled rotten! Everyone took home so much food because the portions were enormous. The prices were totally reasonable. I highly recommend the Sunday sauce unlike any spaghetti dinner I’ve ever had in my life, including my trips to Italy.! Thank you, Heather, Pablo, and especially Marcello!“

“Their pizza is delicious, always get a white pie with spinach and mushrooms. Unfortunately their sandwiches are not as consistent. Just ordered three Panini sandwiches. Two veggies and one bruschetta. The bruschetta was as ordered and very good. We only received one veggie Panini and got some other grilled chicken with lettuce and tomato?? Also the veggie Panini on their menu and online says grilled eggplant, instead it was two large fried pieces of eggplant on each half. Very generous sandwich but couldn’t eat most of it because of the fried eggplant.😫“

“Select is a very nice addition to Warrington. I've visited three tines; twice with my husband who loves the chicken tenders and shrimp and lobster bisque, and with friends. I enjoyed the pancakes and my friends enjoyed the fried chicken and waffles. The food has been consistently flavorful. I ordered the rice bowl with salmon. The portion size was generous, but the salmon was a bit overcooked. The cocktails are varied and absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. The servers have been friendly and attentive. I enjoy the Cage (bar area). It's a fun and cozy atmosphere for adults. I plan to return, soon. I love the place!“

“So my dad was born in 1959. He grew up in north wales, I did not. I was born and raised in southern delaware. My dad would bring me up to north wales as a child when he was a single parent and he would ride me all around and show me all types of things. One of the mandatory stops though was always Tony’s pizza, not only was the pizza/food absolutely amazing, you could tell they had been doing it right for a long time, but my dad had not lived in pa for nearly 2 decades and he could walk into this place and they would not only recognize him, they would come from behind the counters, hug/hand shake with him, sometimes even sit down and chat with us for a moment at our table. This is a down to earth, family oriented, pizza joint that does what they do best… FOOD & HOSPITALITY!!! Thanks for always making my dad’s day when we would walk into your shop.
