We've always been pleased with the friendly service, delicious food quality, and value... We recently hosted a baby shower for our daughter, and approached to owner about catering the event for 35 guests... We enjoyed a feast of humus, chicken kabob, beef tenderloin kabob, grilled fresh vegetables, and rice... “I just held a 40th birthday party at Lock 29. Everything was great. The space was perfect, everyone raved about the food and cake (some people said it was the best cake they’ve ever had!), The servers were awesome, they made sure everyone had what they needed and did a great job keeping things organized and clean throughout! “First time here. Good food and service! Only 'ding' is alcoholic drinks were weak and, the vanilla gelato did not taste like it but more likely ice cream. Gelato is creamier than ice cream. And it was not a scoop but more like 2 tablespoons. For $3, would expect a little more 'gelato'. Overall, good experience and would try again.“

“visited 214 on a whim for a quick Friday night out with a friend. Our server Brendon apologized for the delay in getting to our table, explaining that it had been a wild night and they were slightly understaffed (understandable, it was Valentine's Day). After that, though, he was attentive and friendly for the entire meal. The winter salad I ordered was enormous and although it could have used more dressing, it was still enjoyable. My friend's burger came with a generous portion of fries and was phenomenal. For drinks, I opted for their "dealer's choice" option that lets you roll three dice to create a unique off-menu cocktail. It was dangerously tasty and a generous pour. After dinner, we moved to the bar and chatted with the bar manager Jeremy, who was not only also incredibly friendly and great conversation, but knew his way around the bar and came up with another bespoke cocktail when they were out of an ingredient for the drink I originally wanted. Overall, a fantastic experience across the board and definitely my new favorite spot in Media.“

“Spectacular experience, especially if you show up before the crowds, around 4-4:30pm.
We were the only ones there and only three other tables were seated during the 2 hours we spent there.

Food was mesmerizingly good. Perfect size, even though on the more expensive side...it was SOOOO worth it!

We really appreciated a very attentive, yet considerate service. Our server (possibly an owner or family of the owner) was very respectful of the fact our party needed to be left alone for a while so we can talk and checked on us only when necessary.

The place was quiet so we could have a great conversation, but again, this might change with time of the day. We'll definitely be back very soon!“

“Waited 40 minutes for hush puppies while the restaurant was nearly empty at 3pm. Primary food order came 5 minutes later and my son’s order was wrong. It’s a shame because the food is good. But the service has been so slow both times I’ve been here. They did comp his meal. Just expect to wait a while and enjoy your drinks. Don’t come if you’re in a hurry.“

“My 2nd trip here. Both times I was very happy with the food. The sweet potato fries were quite the surprise, definitely not what one would expect. My chicken tenders BLT was very tasty.

The room is small not sure it hits the cozy vibe.

My only real complaint is that it bothers me when I go to a place to sit, relax, maybe have a coffee or cocktail ( no alcohol here) and the staff is wearing a political statement on their shirts. I go out to stay away from politics.

Still, the staff is very friendly and attentive. They do a good job when it's busy.“

“We are fans of diners and I always enjoy all day breakfast. This was our first time at this diner. Really enjoyed our meals. By the shear number of customers constantly coming in you could tell this was a favorite spot for the locals. We both enjoyed our omelets and were waited on by Debbie, who was very attentive. It took a little longer than ususal to get our food but you never know how many people were working in the kitchen and it did not spoil our visit.“
