“My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time and we were amazed! We started with potato pancakes, calamari, and the mozzarella en Carozza and it was like it was touched by the hand of God it was so delicious! Then I had the pretzel chicken with the mashed potatoes and the green beans! I've been looking for pretzel chicken done this way all over the valley and this is the only place that does it the way I like it with the mustard sauce. My dinner also came with a soup and I chose the Italian wedding and it tasted better than mine! My husband had the Joseph's double stuffed crust pizza with pepperoni added on top and we've had other double stuffed crust white pizzas before and this one is at the top of the list! We're definitely coming back and we will be bringing friends and family! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and our waitress was absolutely fantastic and extremely attentive!“

“My spouse and I have been dining in at Sacco's for the last few years and it has always been a great experience. We have been ordering the subs like the chicken parmesan and eggplant Parmesan. The food tastes so good and is always of great quality. The prices are very reasonable too. The staff are always friendly, extremely accommodating and professional.“

“AV is my family's favorite restaurant. They have a variety of different options on their menu, from homemade pastas, to fresh seafood, to decadent fresh salads. The ingredients and pairings are absolutely out of this world, and are comparable to a NYC level of presentation and taste.
The service is impeccable. From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted with warm & smiling faces. The servers are very thorough, extremely welcoming, and make you feel like you belong. They are very knowledgeable about the menus, and are happy to give great suggestions.

“A nice little place that has been in the downtown for close to 20 years. You enter through the bar that is roomy while also having hightop tables. When entering main dining, the first thing we noticed was the piano player, which is a super-cool touch! He played some fun songs, including some of his own, cracked jokes, and also interacted with the crowd while not being intrusive at all. My wife and I each got a martini (Dirty Gin for her and Honey Nut Cheerio for me) and both were delicious. As an appetizer, we got Eggplant Melanzane, which was light, had great flavor, and a delicious vodka sauce. My better half had a Caesar salad with probably the best Caesar dressing we have ever had. I went with the gorgonzola salad that had a nice, tart raspberry vinaigrette. For our entrees, she had the chicken special, which featured thin chicken breast and portobello mushrooms in a port wine sauce, topped with gorgonzola. It was very earthy and deep, a worthy special. I had the Pollo Sambuca, which is the same thin chicken breast with shrimp and mushrooms in a creamy sambuca sauce. It was very flavorful and slightly sweet. The anise is there, but not distracting. This was a solid meal! Our server, Thellenza, was attentive and informative. She made sure we understood all of the specials and took care of anything we asked. The rest of the staff is also helpful, too, and we were never in need of anything for long at all. The adult beverages that we enjoyed were definitely tasty, we just wish they had more of a wine and beer selection. Food: 9 Service: 10 Atmosphere: 10 Adult Drink Selection: 8 Overall: 9.25“

We make it a point to try new pizza spots whenever we’re in town. Yesterday, while I was working in Dunmore cleaning and repairing gutters (shoutout to my business www.bsgutterrepair.com), my son said, “Mom says to pick up a pizza before we head back to Stroudsburg.” I started searching for the best pizza in Scranton, and Calabria came up—tucked right under a few chain listings that were sponsored (paid for).

We called in and ordered the Mega Meat Pizza and a half cheese, half pepperoni round pie. We’ve tried the famous tray-style pizzas in Scranton, but we’re traditionalists—we want a round pie!

And let me tell you—this was beyond perfect. The fire-lined roast on the dough gave it a crisp, flavorful char. The cheese blend (I should’ve asked what they use!) was perfectly layered. The meats were loaded generously, and the flavor balance—between dough, cheese, salt, and a slight sweetness—was heavenly.

This was hands-down the most delicious round pizza I’ve ever had. I don’t go around rating food often, because taste is personal and built on years of experience and preference—but this was that pizza.

Do yourself a favor. Skip the chains. Hit Calabria. I had some this morning, and honestly—it’s even better the next day!“

“Last night a waitress here clearly tried to rob us! I paid $45 cash then wanted to put the rest on my card. She came back said the card machine was broken ( no big deal) My dad handed her a $50 bill&she never brought his change back. I asked her for a receipt to show we paid, she gave me a song and a dance about having to go write up another receipt. We had already been there for 2 hours & I had to leave, on my way way home I realized I forgot to leave tip on table so I called to give my cc info to leave the tip. later that evening I got a call back saying I never fully paid the bill. That waitress took his $50 and pocketed it!! When I spoke to her on phone she flat out lied!!, even though I told her (after I paid) that she never gave him the change she even said (oh I owe you whatever the amount was) She said we never gave her the $50!?! my elderly dad clearly pulled it out of his wallet & handed it to her. Thankfully Christine the manager took care of everything for us! Btw it wasn't Wendy she was awesome it was the other lady there on 2/22 evening short dark hair! Needless to say we won't be back! Why would I ask for a receipt or change back if we didn't pay you!?!?!?!?!?!But watch who you hire Sidels... She a bad one!! To try and steal from an elderly man with dementia!?!?! Decor falls between original 1970s and a little updated - but that was charming and likely kept prices so reasonable. Never asked me if I wanted my money back or make me a new one. I didn't make a big deal. they had a few people. But I'm so made I never go back. “I had the most delicious Chicken Francaise at the Club at the Highlands tonight, accompanied by mashed potatoes and zucchini superbly prepared and artfully presented. The sauce was to die for! I had a generous side salad that came with my meal. My companion had the round Archbald pizza that was a considerable size for a very reasonable $12! We both enjoyed an Alligash draft beer. It was a quiet night, the dining room was comfortable with a nice ambience and our very attentive server took care of us quickly. All in all, we thought the food, service and atmosphere were excellent. We enjoyed our meal at The Highlands very, very much!“
