Spanish Island Restaurant Reviews
The food is good and well worth it. Out of 5 stars I give it a 4.5. That's because they don't have their own delivery service. They use Door Dash who takes FOREVER with the deliveries. By the time I get my food from DD I have already cooked twice. i would recommend picking up your food then delivery, but yes I will recommend Spanish Island Restaurant!

Most of the time I order from here the food is usually good. Today no issue with food though I had the worst service. I ordered for take out and received a call saying they were out of said food and I should cancel. I went to ask her why wouldn’t they communicate with the app that they are out of said food but she just hung up on me. I will never go here to eat in person very rude woman.

Spanish Island Restaurant offers a mix of Caribbean-style Spanish food in Northeast Philadelphia. Customers praise the flavorful appetizers like empanadas and fried plantains. The mofongo with shrimp in garlic sauce is a must-try, along with the stewed chicken and slow-cooked pork. The yellow rice and tasty beans complement the dishes well. Many find this spot to be the best for Spanish food in Philly, with dishes like roasted pork with yellow rice, carne and pollo guisada, and potato ball and gravy receiving high praise. The service is quick and friendly, making it a popular choice for those craving authentic Spanish flavors in the area. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, with a meal including a side, dessert, and drink costing around $30. Customers enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and refreshing drinks like frozen lemonade and guava. The chicken noodle soup is highly recommended, described as the best ever ordered, with perfectly balanced flavors and tender chicken.
