“Such a great place to visit while in Union Dale. The owners are amazing and full of hospitality. Lots of scratch made items that are incredible. Ask to try the Jalapeno and Jameson shot, or some of the home made wing sauces using local ingredients. The dice game to pick your beer is fun with a few friends! Live music on weekends is a big plus. This is our new goto place for sure!”

“Stopped here for lunch on recommendation of Paul, the florist next door. We were bicycling the nearby rail trail and wanted to stop at Forest City.We ordered an Italian sub and a meatball parmesan sub. Ingredients are high quality Boars Head cold cuts and homemade meatballs and sub rolls. Two of us split to try them both.Service was friendly with both our preparer and the owner Janine conversing with us. Excellent quality at reasonable prices. Also try their other restaurant nearby, K & J' Kitchen. A great find.”

“I love Frank's Place, I always stop by for a meal when I am heading home from the Wayne County area. First off the place is huge but given how it's laid out it feels intimate, the food is always great and it's a real gem for that area. If you are thinking of going out don't hesitate to check this place out. I travel out of my way to go there because it's so good.”

“One of those little spots tucked in a sleepy small town. The food is delicious, generous portions. The staff is really nice and sweet, and the value is great. Best breakfast in the area and the pizza is great too. We stop by on errands and grab a meal, had to finally leave a review as it was so good this last time. The home fries and French Toast are favorites.”

“The ice cream is always phenomenal, and the amount you get is great for the price. The first time I ate here, we also ordered chili burgers with cheese. It was juicy and flavorful. The second time (with new owners), the chili was good, but the burger was dry, hard, and tasted like sawdust. I'll probably try the chili burger one more time to see if this was a one-time thing or if the food is just not good anymore. I'd still recommend this place for ice cream, though.”

Everyone drinking and chatting and most definitely had a great live band and a solid chef. I spent most of my evening hanging around the chef...who I was honored to meet. Plus.... “I hosted a 60th Birthday Party yesterday in Jake’s private front room / large enough for our 50 guests. We served wings, baked ziti, chicken cutlets, chicken marinara, scalloped potatoes, and salad. Everyone enjoyed the food, the lakefront view of Elk Lake, and the casual, relaxed, and clean atmosphere.Many friends stayed through the evening to enjoy drinks, live music, and a little pool in the main bar area.I highly recommend checking Jake’s out for your next event!”

“We love Arlos. We bring our two little kids often. The pizza and pierogis are great and the country store is awesome, especially the ice cream! The waitresses are outstanding. “Had heard lots of things about this place and finally got to go. I set out for wings but it was Taco night. Naturally, I got both. Really good wings (a bit on the small side) in a good hot sauce. They are not as hot as I usually like but the sauce was very tasty and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Tacos were good as well. The bar service was good and the live music was a very welcome surprise.I will definitely return when I'm in the area.”

“Been coming here for years, and apart from a couple of times of a slightly messed up order, always been satisfied. It's the kind of food you know you're going to get, with friendly staff.I primarily get sweet and sour options (albeit I don't like the sauce that comes with it, so basically battered popcorn chicken/pork/shrimp), but branch out for variation. Nothing is actually really spicy, which I chalk mainly up to trying to cater to general tastes.In my opinion, portions are quite generous. I never order large, and typically have enough left over for a meal the next day. It helps that I typically order extra vegetables, because defying my experiences just steamed vegetables here are cooked far better than most diners or restaurants I've been to.My only real downside is that there's no delivery, but not like I can view them negatively for it. Overall, just a typical American Chinese food place, friendly staff, good food. You know what you're getting, and nothing wrong with what it is.”
