And the service was terrible! After we waited for 10 minutes for a table to be wiped down..Our waitress stood in the corner sharing stuff off her phone with the other waitress almost the entire time we dined!“

“The menu selection and preparation was, as always, perfect. We had three generations at lunch, and each found something wonderful from the menu. Everyone delighted in the dessert options from the bakery case. Our out-of-town visitors were charmed and impressed. The bathroom was disappointingly dirty with no hook for a bag. Our server had exceptionally long nails with embellishments that did not appear sanitary.“

“I suppose everyone has a right to their own opinion, but I think the 4.4 rating on this place is an absolute travesty. I had never tried shoo-fly pie before visiting PA this autumn, but I made it a point to try a couple of different ones during my visit, and while all of them were quite yummy, for me Dutch Haven was head and shoulders and belly-button ahead of all others. For anyone who loves shoo-fly pie, I'd be pretty surprised if you didn't love theirs; and for anyone who wants to try it for the first time, I HIGHLY recommend making Dutch Haven the one you try. I only wish it weren't so much more expensive to have it shipped vs. buying it on site (but that's pretty par for the course for shipping food items, so disappointing as it is, I do totally get it). Oh well, I'll just have to figure out a good time to make my way back at some point, and do a bit more stocking up next time around! :D“

“After moving from NJ three years ago, I was thrilled to find Thoze Guys, a gem that serves amazing homemade Italian pizza and pasta. Their salads are impressive as well. What's more, they've recently opened a fantastic sit-down restaurant called Val'NTino's next door. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere feels like home. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back 👌“

“Handmade pretzels made by Amish young teenage girls who had been working there probably for many years.

The place is quaint and very friendly. The food food, especially the pretzels, are amazing, soft and fresh.

They are also responsible for the goats that you can feed just down their parking lot behind the building.

Parking: You can easily park at the Kitchen Kettle Village parking lot next door.“

“I spent 3 days in Lancaster n I went on one bite pizza appt for best pizza in lancaster n out of the top 100 places only 4 places impressed me n Pizza City was one of them n not far from the motel where I was staying at so, it was a no Brainer. I have tried ALOT of pizza in my life n I do reviews. I was really impressed on how good this was a true NY style pizza. Thin crust, well cooked undercarriage, good amount of tasty sauce with just enough cheese with zero grease. Highly recommend it here n just wished it was closer. Also, prices extremely reasonable to where I live.“

We waited over a half an hour for our food to find after I ask for them to check on our food that they burnt my wife’s steak and made her another one my meal when brought out must of been reheated twice and burnt!!!! My alcohol distributor canceled on me and he went out of his way to not only provide me beer but picked up wine and liquor for me and delivered it to my wedding at the time needed. “I lived in lancaster for 2 years and decided to the chinese food I live right down the street from the restaurant I ordered a large sweet and sour chicken and a large beef lomein the food was hot a fresh when picked it up I waited 10 or 15 minutes the staff was really nice and friendly the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. I would call ahead to confirm hours, but it's worth noting that they used plastic plates and utensils, and the sushi was still delicious. It was nice getting back here after several years.“

You can get a freshly made steak along with roast beef, chicken, pot pie, several more entrees and vegetables along with salad bar AND desserts - I’ll take this buffet over a plain steak dinner anytime!!!!“

“This is our very favorite restaurant, however due to a very large crowd this evening, we had to sit at the bar. It was nice at first. But our waitress/bartender was a bit rude to us and didn't even check on how our meals came out, offer more beverages, refills and did not offer dessert. We usually tip very well but didn't this time. The crowd had really dispersed by the time we had our meals so there was really no excuse for the bad service. We will continue to go back of course becasue we love it there but hoping for a better experience.“

“So my husband and I love trying new places! We are not from Lancaster but from the Reading area. We sat at the bar on Saturday and met Boots.. Yes. Our bartenders name was Boots. He was nothing short of amazing!!!!! He was fun, funny, knowledgable and perfect!! Our food (Korean kabobs and pretzel) were sooo delicious!!! Drinks fantastic!!! This one don’t have booths and usually I would be disappointed by that but this restaurant is so retro and classic I don’t mind sitting at a table here.
