“Definitely do not come here for the atmosphere or the cleanliness. It hasn't seen a sanitizer since 1980. Literally. It was pretty bad. BUT....we committed to staying because someone gave the food a 5 stars review...and I see why. It was hands down the best breakfast I've had. Every part of that meal was a 5. Only the food, the coffee was awful, so not the beverages, just the food. I was in total shock. That cook needs a raise! Also,it's a shame, someone needs to clean this place up, and give the dining area a face lift. Because, the food their serving deserves to be served on a nice plate, and put on a clean, bought this century, booth. It also smells real bad, they need to open up the windows and let some fresh air in there.“

Parking: Plenty of parking unless they are having a party. Then you want to arrive early to have a good parking space“

“Mike (the owner of the village inn) came in to Jim’s bar in Monongahela today and took care of everyone in our bar. He is a great guy and he brought some laughter to all of us. 10/10 I highly recommend you spending money at his establishment“

“First time here. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, very laid back. Great music on the jukebox. We had a table of 10 and there was only 1 cook and 1 bartender/waitress, and they did a phenomenal job. The food came out quickly, I wait a lot longer at most other restaurants with a large staff. Wings are amazing. They have whole wings!! The jimmy fries are delicious. Drink prices are great. Nice drink specials, too. If you're looking for a nice clean bar, good food this is your place. Kudos to this amazing duo. ??

Only thing that affects negatively is when the door to the bar (smoking) area is left open or opened frequently because that smell comes through dining area. But still love this place. “I knew I was in for somethin special when I walked up into their parkin' field and saw small rocks gravellin it up all fancy like. This upscale establishment had walls from floor to ceiling on all sides. It even had not one, but two doors to go through. And get this, they on the hinges! Wow. But that's nothing compared to what I discovered entering the final door... the floor... i thought they forgot to put da sawdust down and Id be walking on raw dirt, naw, naw, it was better than saw dust. You ever hear of fellers puttin down wood across an entire floor? That must have taken a lot of dedicated non drinkers a lot of time. It nearly brought a tear to my eye to know they cared enough for me to spend all that time for me. I went to look up to the Heavens and thank God, but I couldn't see a cloud in sight. You know that dang place had a roof on it? And not any normal roof, a roof without a hole in it? Well I forgot what happened next, but I woke up in a ditch, pulled out my phone and wrote this review. I'm not sure if it was real or some kind of dream, but if I can find my way back to the country, where all the people want to be nice to everyone(like everyone everyone should learn to be nice to each other) , I'd walk right back in. Love's the way. Love is eternal.“

“On Saturday I had to call 911 for a friend that was in physical distress and was very sick. Monessen Fire Dept/EMS showed up as they knew the ambulance was delayed. They treated my friend promptly and with the utmost kindness and respect. She and I both really appreciated their true concern and the sincere respect they showed for her in a very dire circumstance. She has been hospitalized since and has been talking about these guys everyday since. Thank you very much!“

“Visited this fine establishment with some friends and I must say, the food is amazing. The venue is for fine dining and is small and quaint. So make sure you make a reservation or you will find yourself out of luck. It can also be pricey but with what you get it's well worth a special night with your spouse or small group. I had the Lobster Romano which was amazing. And my wife had the filet mignon. She's already asking to return for her birthday. Everything here is quality. A+“

“First time coming here. Welcomed with friendly faces. I enjoyed seeing all the photos throughout the restaurant. Our waitress was so polite and patient with both myself and my partner. She had a lovely accent. Gave us recommendations and help with anything we had questions with. Everything we ordered was on point. Cooked to perfection. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. We were too full to order dessert but will be coming back to get the dessert our waitress recommended. Thank you for having us.“
