“I moved out of Pittsburgh and the only thing I miss is Thai Gourmet. It is a treasure and not only the best Thai food in Pittsburgh but the best overall food of all foods. I dream about this place. I'm planning a return visit only to eat here. Cherish every chance you get to eat here. If there is a heaven they serve Thai Gourmet food.“

“Absolutely overjoyed to have authentic mexican in my neighborhood! As I was born and raised in California, I know the real deal when I taste it and everything we had was truly the best I've had in the 18 years I've lived in Pittsburgh! We look forward to when the dining room opens but in the mean time we will continue to take out and try everything!“

“This truck came to the office today and I tried them for the first time. Got the Milanesa Napolitana sandwich which was recommended as a favorite. The sandwich was huge and very flavorful. It came with a side of rice which was a nice suprise. I also got 3 empanada; beef, spinach and 4 cheese. The empanada dough is so light and flakey and all 3 fillings are delicious. Everything tasted great!“

“We got the taco bar as catering for a birthday party and it was fantastic! Everyone loved it and said the tacos were great. We had plenty of good for everyone and lots of great topping options. People even came back in the evening to eat dinner of the chips and dips. It was a real crowd pleaser and we're very happy we did it!“

Blowfish BBQ Food Trucks • $$
2027 Noble St # 1, Swissvale - 4.12 miles

“I always get Blowfish BBQ when Hootie pops up at Trace Brewing. It's truly the best BBQ I've had in my life! My usual order is the pulled pork sandwich combo which includes generous portions of vinegar coleslaw and smoked Mac and cheese. The meat is always super tender, smoky, salty, and flavorful. The coleslaw is unique - peppery, spicy, and vinegary. Almost has a pickled vibe to it. If you can't handle spicy foods you may want to skip it, but I love shoveling it onto my pulled pork sandwich. The Mac and cheese is my deathbed meal. Hootie leaves it in the smoker so it has a delicious smoky taste. It is squishy and sooo cheesy, just absolutely delicious and it compliments the meat perfectly. Last time I was there I also tried a smoked chicken drumstick. It was so tender that the meat fell right off of the bone. The spice rub was delicious and resulted in super crispy skin, and the chicken was super flavorful all the way through. They have 6 different sauces you can choose from - BBQ, spicy BBQ, Carolina gold, spicy Caroline gold, hot, and vinegar. I love the spicy BBQ and the Carolina gold, but I recommend getting a few and trying them all! Not a miss in the bunch. Service is walking up to a table and ordering, paying on a square card reader, and getting your food in a to go container. They don't have a physical location that you can go to that I'm aware of, so I just check local breweries food truck menus to stalk down where they'll be! Food goes great with a beer, a patio, and a warm summer evening.“

“El Rincón is my favorite place in Pittsburgh! I've been going to the food truck for a while now, and I'm so happy I could finally make it out to Carrick to try out the new restaurant. The tacos are always fresh, and the carnitas melt in my mouth. I had the agua de piña last night as well, and it was perfect! I love these guys so much; best of luck with the new restaurant :)“

“A foodie’s go-to for street food and takeaway???. This food stand has a real potential to be a phenomenally excellent. No this is NOT A RESTAURANT BUT A FOOD STAND on Pittsburgh’s Strip District. It serves four items: 1) Egg Rolls, 2) Chicken Skewers, 3) Rice noodles, 4) Fried Rice.It has excellent egg rolls, especially the vegetable and chicken rolls???. The rolls are very thickly packed… Flavorful but they taste even better with Hot Chili Oil.The Chicken Skewers are very flavorful. They are NOT KABABS but simple bamboo stick skewers of thin chicken breast strips. They are very well seasoned???… the sauced version actually destroys the natural flavor .There are 2 noodles, both are rice noodles. The one they call “Rice” Noodles are flavorful, with some meat and vegetables mixed in it… This noodle can even be better with more chicken and vegetables. The one they call Pad Thai is NOT true pad Thai. It’s plain flat rice noodles stirred in some soy sauce. ???.DISCOVERY: the otherwise unremarkable flat noodles they call Pad Thai can be rescued by Chicken Skewers in BBQ Sauce with STIRRED IN CHILI OIL and paired with a claret. There’s Fried Rice as well but I can’t recommend. They look very plain.Service is very good.Prices are very inexpensive.Vegetarian options: Vegetable egg rolls indicated.Dietary restrictions: Very limited vegetarian optionsParking: Street parking is tough to find especially in the weekends.Kid-friendliness: Child customers with their parents are commonWheelchair accessibility: This food pop-up stand is on a street alley that is wheelchair accessible.“
