“On our trip to New York, our family decided to make a quick stop off of I80. We only went on reviews but this bar beat all of our expectations. The food was wonderful. The people treated us like regulars. A nice spot for a great cheesesteak and good company.“

“It's easy to get there and the food was good. It's the happy middle distance for my family and my in-laws so we come here for gatherings often. Splurging and ordering extra was still affordable with our typical group of 4. Total was $110+tip.
Parking: Plenty of parking.“

“Had a small catering order of chicken tenders and potato cakes (helped limit what we had to cook). You’d never think something so easy would draw so much praise. Everyone at the party said how great they were and were asking for details so they can use Abe’s in the future. Everything was delicious!“

“We stopped at this little diner off the side of the road in this adorable little coal town in the middle of Pennsylvania. I had to try it after since my name is the same and believe it or not they pronounce it the same as well! The service was quite welcoming and homely. It was pretty busy as we expected it to be. The menu options are plentiful. My fiance got the stuffed French toast, my kids got regular French toast and I got the peirogie omelette. The coffee was decent and the kids absolutely loved the delicious rich chocolate milk. The food came out after a short bit and was impressive and plentiful. The omelette looked and tasted absolutely divine. and was stuffed with mashed potato, fried onions, and cheese inside the omelette. I've never seen or tasted an equal anywhere. The French toast were big and fluffy and the kids showed no mercy on them. The stuffed French toast was actually stuffed and looked tasted so good. The service was so good and attentive and they love their customers. I was happy that I was the first Freeland to actually step foot in that diner and the staff loved it. The bacon we ordered had so much flavor and meat and the scrapple was so much better than what Delaware has to offer. If you're ever in the highest borough of Pennsylvania, I highly recommend stopping by this little place on the side of the road and embellish your taste buds with their delectable food and try their truly homemade desserts as well.“

“When my Jeep grenaded it’s serpentine belt I pulled into the owners lot where I was greeted by Don and Vicky, they looked at my car, insisted I come in to stay warm and even gave me a few pints to take the sting of breaking down away! It doesn’t hurt they like the Steelers either! I will be back soon for real with my wife to say hello“

“They did an over the top job on the outdoor patio. I absolutely love it !!! It was hot as heck outside and the fans kept us cool enough to still enjoy our meal outside. And looks like there is heat for winter months too. The staff and owner were so nice to us. You can tell the owner really cares and appreciates his customers. Love the menu. Can’t wait to go back.“

“ambiance is nice, great atmosphere for dinner, service was a little slow especially the food coming out, but the food was excellent, the server was friendly and attentive, outside of service a little slow, we used a gift card and was charged 3 percent charge for a credit card, I explained to the server it was a GC and not a credit card, she apologized and took the bill, she came back and said the machine would not allow the charge to be taken off, there was 6 of us and didn't feel like staying any longer, but Gift card is same as cash and shouldn't be charge the credit card fee since the business isn't paying any fee“
