“Nice place. We went in and played pool and had a few beers. Would be nice if there were some IPAs to pick from but if they don't sell, can't blame the owner for not stocking them. We'll definitely be going back. We liked the atmosphere.“

It also may look like a "hole in the wall" before going inside but it's far from that. It's recently renovated and has a modern but classic bar feel and look. “Right on walnut street! I was out with a friend and he suggested this place, I was there like 25+ years ago when it had another owner. So we went in, got some beers, and ordered. Beers came quick and cold! My friend ordered a hot turkey with gravy and fries, I ordered a hot ham and cheese. Side of bacon covered cheese fries....excellent! Prices were good, as was all the food and drink! I highly recommend this place. Don't miss out!“

“If you like hood bars this is the place to go. They have pool tables and food but I never ate there but I heard the food is BOMB! You also have to try those jello shots that Auntie makes which are very strong. My only GRIPE is that they use the state regulated pours so the bartenders really can't show you little love but at least they don't charge you an arm and a leg“

Food is also pretty decent, it’s a very small limited menu but they have some good sandwiches. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a quick drink or something to munch on.“

“Well, I've been here several times before, and I've already posted a review for The Betsy Shop after I had breakfast there just one time and have been there again, so I think it's time I posted for this place too. I gotta tell ya, it's refreshing to come into a place that is always inviting and where you feel comfortable and the people working there are friendly and all enjoy what they're doing, which makes a huge difference in how they do their job. I worked in food service for about a third of my work life, in retail for about the same and now I'm finishing the final third of my work life in a call center, doing what is supposed to be "customer service". My most memorable work experiences have always been the ones I really enjoyed. Anyway, I really like this place because everyone who works here, seems to enjoy what they're doing.There aren't very many places around this area where you can go and really relax and just be yourself and you can also get great service and very good food in a clean environment, and the Great Allegheny Passage Trail is right outside the door!
