“we had an amazing first experience at Haru KBBQ! we called as we weren't sure how busy they'd be and just mentioned we would be there in 10 minute, to our surprise, the hostess greeted us and asked if we had called. when we said yes, she let us know they had reserved a table for us! From that first greeting, the experience continued to exceed our expectations! The service was exceptional, the food was beautifully prepared and tasted better than we ever could have expected and they even had our favourite Moth Lane Beer on offer!! we went in hoping to find "our spot" and we knew by the time the appetizers were on the table that we found just what we were looking for. Oh, and the fried Chicken...unbelievable!!”

I think maybe the man was a manager but he came out and held our toddler while we waited for food - which they got out extra speedy so the kids wouldn’t be waiting long. “Stopped by the lunch takeout window last weekend and the braised pork belly was just as good as I remembered, nice and tender with that sweet-savory glaze. I've been coming here for probably three years now and the staff always remember my usual order, which is a nice touch. The little dining area gets tight around noon so I'd suggest going before 11:30 if you want a table instead of waiting. Still my go to spot in Charlottetown for a quick, satisfying meal that doesn't break the bank.”

“We grabbed a table at Olde Dublin Pub last weekend and the fish and chips were seriously good, nice crispy batter and not greasy at all. The live music in the evening gave it this cozy, authentic Irish pub vibe that made the whole night feel special. Our server was friendly and quick even though the place was packed, which we really appreciated. Already planning to go back next time we're in Charlottetown.”

“We had the best Lamb Rogan Josh at Taste of India this week. I ordered it medium for extra spice and it was delicious. Lamb can be easily overcooked and this was cooked perfectly! Great portion size, would only need to split one protein with one vegetable curry for two people with naan/rice. We will be back :D”

Parking: They have a small section of a large parking lot. Spaces close the to store are hard to get, but there is lots of other parking if you’re willing to walk.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs, there is a ramp into the building, and automatic door buttons further back from the door.”

I asked the server if Korean was their specialty and she said yes, the owner was Korean and while Sushi is still very popular, he cooked authentic Korean as well. Highly recommend, excellent food at a very reasonable price!”

“As an out of province visitor, we had to try the PEI fries. We were not disappointed. The fries were crispy, fresh and so good. (I don't have a picture because my kids ate them all ). I also tried a funnel cake. It was my first but not my last. It was delicious. Im not a big fan of fried desserts nor powder sugar but this was really good and not too sugary. There is like 2 tables , so not much seating.”

“We stopped by Founders' Hall last weekend while visiting from Ontario and it ended up being the highlight of our Charlottetown trip. The multimedia exhibits on the Confederation story were way more engaging than I expected, especially the little theater room with the sound and light show. One of the staff members at the front desk gave us tips on parking nearby and even suggested the best time to come back for the evening light display along the waterfront. We easily spent two hours inside and left wanting to tell everyone back home to add it to their list.”

“Had a fantastic experience at Hunter’s Ale House last night! It was my first visit, but I can't wait to come back. My waitress was incredibly attentive and sweet, checking in frequently to ensure everything was to my liking. The manager (possibly the owner?) also went above and beyond, stopping by the table multiple times to chat and show excellent customer care. The smash burger was absolutely delicious - a standout dish that sealed the deal. I will definitely be back!”

“Dropped in while touring Charlettown – we got right in and sat at the perfect table, it was inside but with the windows/doors open, it felt like you were outside but temp was it was much cooler. Service was quite spotty – it took a long time to get water and drink orders but eventually someone showed up. It didn’t even seem that busy, there were plenty of staff hovering around the back bar. I ordered the BBQ Burger with a Caesar salad– wife ordered the salmon and easy kid order a cheese burger with fries and difficult kid order the nachos. BBQ Burger was delicious, and the cesar salad was exceptionally delicious, I wasn’t expecting that different taste, next time I would order the big salad as a meal. BBQ Burger, no complaints, it was tasty – easy kid gave the burger a 9.7 and picky kid gave the nachos a 6.7 because there wasn’t enough cheese, yet she did eat the whole plate. Wife said the salmon was cooked to perfection but there were no herbs – there didn’t seem to be a lot of vegetables. There was rhubarb as a vegetable along with small chunks of carrot. The rice was crunchy but it was good. Seems like a great spot – according to other reviews, might have been an off day with service but it does seem to happen randomly.”

“We stopped in Charlottetown for a late lunch around 2pm on our road trip and were glad we did, the smash burger with the BOOM sauce was outrageously good. My husband and I have eaten our way through a lot of small town diners over the years and the staff here were some of the friendliest, cheerfully walking us through the menu since it was our first visit. The patio seating gave us a nice view of the street while we ate, and parking right out front made it easy on our tired feet after a morning of sightseeing. We will definitely swing back through next time we are on the island.”

As for the chicken… it was 🔥! Fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned—exactly what you expect from KFC. You could tell it was made right and served hot.
