“we had an amazing first experience at Haru KBBQ! we called as we weren't sure how busy they'd be and just mentioned we would be there in 10 minute, to our surprise, the hostess greeted us and asked if we had called. when we said yes, she let us know they had reserved a table for us! From that first greeting, the experience continued to exceed our expectations! The service was exceptional, the food was beautifully prepared and tasted better than we ever could have expected and they even had our favourite Moth Lane Beer on offer!! we went in hoping to find "our spot" and we knew by the time the appetizers were on the table that we found just what we were looking for. Oh, and the fried Chicken...unbelievable!!”

“Lovely little boardgame cafe, the owners are super friendly and willing to teach boardgames or have a chat. The hot/iced matcha latte and turkey sandwhiches are always delicious. Ive also tried the frappes, and the lavender tea, which are both very good as well! They have Azul and Patchwork which are great boardgames if you only have 30-45 mins. Coup is also a good 15 mins bluffing game for 4+ players. They also have an assortment of unique types of puzzles. The atmosphere is relaxing and bright, and there is lots of parking available.”

“This was one of our all time fav places. Great food, exactly what we thought we should get plus. Our server Emma was exceptional. Emma & other staff members were great helping us with an inquiry into their merchandise. Again they went beyond what they needed to do to help us. It was a pleasure chatting with Emma when she had a minute. The atmosphere is just what we expected and it was also perfect. Okay but the desserts. So damn good, I wanted to lick the bowl. Always best to download the McDonalds app for service; This make the experience much faster, more seemless and expedites the line up in the drive through. Plus, you earn points which add up fast which in turn you can use for free items on future orders.”

I asked the server if Korean was their specialty and she said yes, the owner was Korean and while Sushi is still very popular, he cooked authentic Korean as well. The food was DELICIOUS and the coffee was amazing. The ONLY thing that topped the food was the HIGH QUALITY service we got from the young man that served us. One of the best…ever! The Neon Friday 4.02 was, by far, my favorite beer. The day I visited, they had 10 beers on tap plus three canned cocktails and one seltzer. They offer flights of four.
The place was very clean, and the beertenders were very friendly.

It’s a pretty quiet spot at various times of the day and plenty of seating inside. Sometimes when it’s busy it’ll slow down but not too bad otherwise. For all the Tims in the area this one is typically my go to.”

I was getting a bit over all the lobster rolls/burger and chips, so decided to come here - a little away from the tourist crowds along the waterfront and Queen St.
The Chicken Pho/Chicken Noodle Soup was delicious, as were the Fried Vegetarian Spring Rolls and the Icecream with puréed avocado (definitely worth trying if you haven’t had it before). Also very affordable!

“Tasty and healthy pho. As a Chinese who used to eat more healthy and less greasy when we are sick, their pho is a good alternative to our congee. The pho here is not greasy and not salty which makes it a healthy choice when your body is not feeling too well.”

“Dropped in while touring Charlettown – we got right in and sat at the perfect table, it was inside but with the windows/doors open, it felt like you were outside but temp was it was much cooler. Service was quite spotty – it took a long time to get water and drink orders but eventually someone showed up. It didn’t even seem that busy, there were plenty of staff hovering around the back bar. I ordered the BBQ Burger with a Caesar salad– wife ordered the salmon and easy kid order a cheese burger with fries and difficult kid order the nachos. BBQ Burger was delicious, and the cesar salad was exceptionally delicious, I wasn’t expecting that different taste, next time I would order the big salad as a meal. BBQ Burger, no complaints, it was tasty – easy kid gave the burger a 9.7 and picky kid gave the nachos a 6.7 because there wasn’t enough cheese, yet she did eat the whole plate. Wife said the salmon was cooked to perfection but there were no herbs – there didn’t seem to be a lot of vegetables. There was rhubarb as a vegetable along with small chunks of carrot. The rice was crunchy but it was good. Seems like a great spot – according to other reviews, might have been an off day with service but it does seem to happen randomly.”

“I placed an order with them tonight and this is what I received for sweet and sour chicken balls. One order with not much red sauce and the other with none at all. See attached pictures. In hind site I should have read the reviews before I ordered. Very disappointed…Update…they have reached out to me and are going to give us a new order of chicken balls to compensate for the mistake. Will post pics of the replacement when I get a chance to order again”
