“Service, food and the atmosphere were all good, the main reasons for the 4 stars is it is overpriced.
It was the most I paid for oysters and beer on the island. $10.45 for a glass, not a pint, a glass of craft beer is a bit rich.”

“We are lucky enough to live around the corner from The Mill and have the talents of Chef Emily Wells in our little community. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, and the view is just as good. A perfect date night. And when she offers meals to-go, you can re-create the culinary magic at home with just a simple re-heat. So yummy!”

“I stopped by on a bicycle ride from St. Peter's to Summerside. I was 15 minutes to close, but they happily served me anyway. The Large Fish & Chips was the best meal I had on my trip - perfect! Friendly staff. Great experience. I look forward to visiting again!”

“We stopped in here on Aug 9, 2025. Ordered their O’Shea burger with mashed potatoes & my wife ordered the same but with a GF bun…..both were delicious, service was very fast. This place is out of the way for sure but worth the drive.”

“Went with my family to The Lost Anchor and had the greatest experience. Our waitress was absolutely lovely, the food was DELICIOUS and hot! Both my children ate their ENTIRE meals!! The atmosphere was great and the bathrooms were clean. It was a hidden gem and I’m so glad we stopped! Would highly recommend ordering the cajun alfredo pasta… and the kids mac & cheese was to die for!! Will definitely be back!”

“Our first time at this lobster dinner and we were not disappointed. We've done other lobster dinners on the island but the freshness of the food here really stands out. The mussels were hot and delicious. I had seconds. My hubby loved the strawberry shortcake made with teabiscuits.”

“Updated as of June 21, 2025. *HOURS* Monday: by chance, Tues-Fri: 10-6, Sat: 10-5. Always closed on Sundays. Pictures have current prices and stock, and hours for other seasons. Meat, bread, eggs, muffins, jams, sweets, pies, cards, books, etc. Gluten free products pictured in the open fridge/freezer door picture. Comparable prices to other farms and homemade and organic foods. Friendly staff. 5☆”

“For a place that specializes in fish and chips I was pleasantly surprised at how good the monarchy burger was. Everyone else in our group got the fish and chips..huge portions batter was great, hand cut fries were great too and im not usually a fan of them. Loved the British decor and service was great. Also having someone in our group that is gluten free and the different options available were great! Would definitely recommend!”

“Food here is great. They have a nice selection of different beaver tail toppings. My family loves the Avalanche, but we have not tried one we didn't like. They also have fries, poutines and hotdogs (with a beaver tail bun!). Service is always fast and friendly here. If you have not tried one, I definitely recommend stopping by.”

Working in fast food in a tourist heavy area isn't an easy task and they kept their cool, they kept happy attitudes, and they were kind even when my husband and I came in 15 mins before close, which neither of us would normally want to do, having worked in the food industry both ourselves.
