“Toujours un plaisir de s’arrêter à ce charmant café hiver comme l’été. Un endroit sympathique et chaleureux qui nous transporte, le temps d’un café. Au pays des Gina Lolobrigida, Fabio Cannavaro. Jarmo Trulli. Federico Fellini et Luciano Pavarotti pour ne nommer que ceux-ci. Que de mieux qu’un cappuccino accompagné d’un panettone Merci la vie.“

“J'ai travailler cinq jours matin à fermeture pour faire une grosse pièce, j'aime vraiment l'ambiance calme. Cela aide mon stress et m'aide à oublier mes problèmes. Les employés sont gentils, la nourriture est bonne , la musique est correcte. Il y a beaucoup de pièces qui vous inspire et vous donne le goût de peindre avec effort. Personnellement , sa l'a pas coûté cher , chaque session on coûté cinq dollars plus un autre cinq pour vouloir continuer ma pièce là-bas, mais dix dollar pour une journée onze le matin à cinq de l'après-midi pour emprunter l'équipement c'est pas cher !!! En tout cas, si vous me croiser vous ne pouvez pas me manquer !! Je fais casiment partie des pièces de céramiques ! 🤣“

The inside is pretty and inviting, but there are also two terasses - one in the front and one in the back. Eating outdoors in the summer in Montreal is the way to go and the back terasse was especially nice with the added privacy.
The food was great, no notes. We especially enjoyed the chicken burger, the salmon tartar, the oysters and the fried pickles.

I went today (Friday, February 20th) for lunch with a friend, and it instantly became one of those spots you want to keep in your back pocket. It has that comforting, neighborhood energy that makes you want to stay a little longer. The menu? Absolutely fantastic! “Edit 2026: From 5 stars to 4 stars. They changed their pistachios & mascarpone recipe for an obvious inferior version, most likely to cut cost, its now a let down of a flavor.
I am mind blown by the Pistachios & Mascarpone and the Rhum Chocolate. I think this is the best gelato I ever had in my life. Hands down the best in Laval, I hope they open one in Montreal“

“I really enjoy this place & the food is really great. However, the only real problem for me is the coffee. I tasted at least 3 different lattes and they all tasted the same. The coconut latte did not taste anything like coconut and same for the caramel. They all just taste like coffee without any flavouring which is pretty disappointing. If i only wanted a bland latte i would order that but if i order something flavoured i expect it to taste like it so a bit disappointed with that :( Other than that, i think this place is really great!“

“What can I say about Eugenia and the Hibou design Team? They are quite simply the best at what they do! Eugenia knew exactly what we wanted…. She listens to every little detail and it showed in her presentation and of course the final product. Everything she sourced was uniquely beautiful from furniture fabrics, wallpaper, bed linens, carpets, artwork and everything else you could imagine that goes into completing a home. They took care of all the trades, the deliveries and installations, I mean everything! Eugenia created a beautiful and welcoming home for us. Our sanctuary… our little oasis. Eugenia, we thank you and the ladies for everything, you’re wonderful to work with, love your positive energy and for always being calm and reassuring. Also, macadamia nut milk for lactose free Moka's is not something I would have known to ask for, but what a great option to have. I go here for nostalgia so load up on the bites.“

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality.The service was impeccable, with every detail taken care of without us having to do anything. The food was delicious, with a great selection of options. Despite the high quality, the pricing was competitive and reasonable.What truly sets Le Rêve d’Helene apart is the personalized touch they bring to your event. Helene and Luc are incredibly helpful and welcoming, making sure every guest feels at home. The choice of food menu was fantastic, and the decor of the tables provided added an elegant touch to the ambiance. Helene will tailor to your food needs and even makes beautiful cakes for your occasion. Everything she serves is made in house. The cafe was also beautifully decorated as the tables and chairs were transformed and beautifully dressed.The availability of a speaker for music was a bonus, slowing for a small dance floor. . Whether it's a shower, baptism, or birthday, I wholeheartedly recommend Le Rêve d’Helene to anyone looking for alders sized (40-60 people), welcoming location.
