The standout dish was undoubtedly the French toast - it was hands-down the best I've ever tasted. But what truly made our visit exceptional was the outstanding service. Our waitress Josianne went above and beyond to ensure our group felt welcome and well taken care of. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel like valued guests. The warm and inviting atmosphere only added to our enjoyment. We can't wait to return and indulge in more of their delicious offerings! “This restaurant is one of the hidden gems in Montreal. We found it on a trip here a year ago and came back twice this trip. We have had brunch twice and dinner tonight and it didn't disappoint. The staff here are amazing, every visit makes us think we just had the best server ever. We have never had trouble getting a table here even during very busy times. “I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu and more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership and iteration of the cafe and menu. It’s owner run, so they know what they’re doing and the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price and down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well and I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.“

Ma visite à la succursale du boulevard St-Laurent (coin Ave. Mont-Royal) a été marqué par une chose en particulier; la courtoisie et l’efficacité du service dispensé par un personnel attentif, charmant et très avenant qui tranche misérablement avec une hôtesse qui devrait être affectée, loin des contacts clients, à la plonge! Cette pauvre enfant semble éprise d’une sérieuse neurasthénie pathologique qui, selon moi, mérite une impérieuse attention (médicale ou autre). Malgré mon invitation à ce qu’elle arbore un sourire professionnellement cordial, au risque de nuire à une quelconque gerçure et à compromettre son regard de vaches qui regardent passer des trains, son comportement rédhibitoire s’est ajouté à sa triste prestation. En tant qu’ex-professionnel dans l’industrie hôtelière de luxe, en y songeant bien, cette employée ne mériterait même pas la plonge, mais plutôt la porte. Mais bon, il y a des employeurs qui aiment peut-être ça! Pas moi. Dommage pour les autres formidables employé-e-s de l’établissement; c’est une tache sur une toile blanche.“
