“I had heard a lot of good things about Pataterie Hulloise, but I honestly wasn’t sure if it would live up to the hype. I decided to stop by and order a small poutine just to test it out for myself.

People were not exaggerating. The poutine was absolutely excellent — fresh fries, great gravy, and cheese curds that were on point. Easily the best poutine I’ve had in Gatineau so far.

Safe to say I’ll definitely be back. Next time I’m trying the hotdogs.“

Location: right on Greber (a main street), easy to find and easy to access the parking lot and front entrance.

Parking: a decent sized parking lot in front with plenty of parking for the size of the restaurant.

Accessibility: it’s accessible by wheelchair and the washrooms are also wheelchair accessible.

Ambience / aesthetic: it’s a typical diner. It’s clean and in reasonable shape, but there are no frills. The restaurant is clearly delivering food, not an experience.

Service: the staff are very friendly, and very relaxed. Almost too relaxed, if I may be honest. I get the sense that the restaurant mostly caters to local regular customers. There’s no host/hostess to meet you at the door, and you’re expected to seat yourself, even though there’s no sign stating that. When I was there at 13h00 on a Thursday, they were not at all busy, but the servers only came around every 20-25 minutes, which I don’t consider very much. I want to clarify, the staff are kind, but the establishment feels very laissez-faire.

Drink: I had coffee and it was fine.

Food: I had the “Greber Poutine” and it came with lots of meat and lots of gravy. It was decent and the price was very reasonable.

Washroom: there are single stall male and female washrooms with baby change tables available. The male washroom was relatively clean and everything was functional.“

“Was recommended to try this spot near the Gatineau Hills. I actually wanted to try this spot for several years.

The chef special. Havarti cheese if I recall with their house made sauce.
Honestly, I was somewhat disappointed.
Beef patties were dry, no moisture, too much burger sauce/dressing and did not finish the fries. They were very plain.
Yo can actually share a fry way to much for one person. Not sure if it was a off day with the cooking or I selected the wrong item to eat. Maybe second time around will be better. Cheers“

“Yesterday I was helped by a tall guy with long hair in a ponytail, and honestly he gave one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a while. Super polite, positive attitude, fast at his job, and he made the whole experience feel welcoming and easy. You can tell he genuinely cares about customers and works hard while keeping great vibes.

The food was also really fresh and tasty, everything came out quickly and the restaurant felt clean and well organized. Overall a really great experience. Employees like that truly make a difference, and I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“Best place ever. Best poutine in town. Any time I go they start making my order the second I get in line. By the time I’m at the cash I just tap my phone and my food is ready to go. The poutine is so filled that the cheese curds are sticking to the lid. Keep up the good work.“

“Man I just want to say - good or bad - every experience I have at A&W always has me leaving with a smile. I had placed my order on the app for the first time and I’m an anglophone in Quebec so I’m a bit shy. I hadn’t specified what I wanted in my coffee and even though they offered to add something: I refused because I have a concussion and I’m having difficulty speaking French right now. I took my black coffee and they had accidentally forgot the bacon on my sandwiches. The thing is; any other fast food chain would have resolved this with less grace or patience. I went back to the counter and abra kadabra; they were SO polite. They offered me new sandwiches but I didn’t want to be wasteful and they didn’t mind adding it to the sandwiches. Then by some miracle the girl at the cash READ MY MIND and offered to add cream and sugar to my coffee AGAIN - because she knew I was being shy.

It’s moments like this that affirm my belief that for the extra dollar I pay every time I eat at A&W (compared to other chains) - it’s worth so much more than a dollar because I’m incentivizing quality food and service. Standards like this are why I always go to A&W.

“First time here, Panini and soup was unreal. Like everyone else it's a little hard to find. When you go in the lobby your auto instinct is to take the elevators to the right, but no go left and you will see the sign and the stairs right beside. Busy place to do you know it's good.“

“WORLD’S BEST FRIES! I ordered a margarita and the pirate burger, which comes with fries and coleslaw. The food was good but the fries! They are the best fries I’ve had in a very long time. I’m at a loss to describe how truly good they were. They should’ve sent a poet! Will be back.“
