“Highly recommend! I was hesitant at first because I had no idea what the majority of menu items were. I was completely blown away. I am a very picky person, but the menu and how the food was explained in full detail, no matter the question by our incredible waitress was the first sign this is the place to be! A huge thank you to the waitress especially, the staff as a whole and a huge high-five to the chefs for clearly putting your all in to every single menu item. “First time visitor on March 23, to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was happily booked up when I tried to make a reservation, so I was only able to secure a table at 5:15pm. I left a little note asking them to keep us in mind if there was a cancellation for a later spot, and they contacted me by email, text, and phone when a later table became available for 6:15pm. Very responsive and friendly staff. Our time at Soif was marvellous. The staff were friendly and extremely professional. Service was relaxed yet very polished. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine and took great care to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a flight of wine to start, followed by a beautiful bottle of white, and a flight of bubbles to end our evening. We shared a half cheese/half charcuterie platter that came with a mountain of crispy and delicious crostini, the latter being refilled without having to ask. Such a small but lovely touch. We also shared roasted Brussels sprouts, frites and aioli, a bison tartare, and grilled radicchio, that were all delicious. They surprised my friend with a little dessert wine and candle to acknowledge her birthday, which was so kind and thoughtful. I have not a single critique. The team here works like a well-oiled machine. No one seemed frantic or rushed. It was a lovely evening. I (we) will definitely be back. Santé!“

“Service is impeccable. The staff are warm and lovely. Food was delicious. I ordered the duck au poivre and it was cooked perfectly with a mix of well-seasoned vegetables. It was hard to choose from their menu and I’d love to come back for their lobster and steak dishes! I also had some of my friend’s brussel sprouts and it was amazing. Another friend ordered the mulled wine and while I didn’t taste it, it smelled wonderful.“

“I wanted to take a picture of the food because it was absolutely delicious, but honestly, enjoying every bite was my only priority at that moment. Taking a picture was the last thing on my mind!

The food is really, really good. The Burrata was exceptional — definitely one of my favourites ever. The mushroom pasta was absolutely delicious as well.

A special mention to Angie, who was excellent! She was super kind, enthusiastic, and full of positive energy. Everything about this place was amazing.

“Our experience at Lexington was a mix of incredible BBQ and exceptional customer service. When we were first seated, we were placed next to a very loud table and I could barely hear my wife. I talked to the owner and he went above beyond, putting us in the private room at the back of the restaurant. It was fantastic! We then ordered 2 BBQ platters I couldn't recommend this sampler for couples more highly. We had the brisket which fell apart beautifully and had an amazing bark, we had the fork and knife fried chicken which was probably the best fried chicken ever with this glaze that we kept dipping in. We had the pulled pork which was so flavorful and NOT dry at all. We had the halloumi which was nice when filled in the Carolina BBQ sauces. For sides I have a special order for you to try since you made it this far into the review. Get the mac and cheese and substitute the pulled pork for JACK FRUIT! It's the best mac and cheese ever, a true revelation. It's like discovering pineapple on pizza, SO GOOD!! Very sweet but also a bit spicy because they put a spicy sauce on the jack fruit. This was so good. The other stand out side dish was the brussel sprouts, wow are they ever good especially when you get to the bottom. While we could have had a terrible experience next to the large party, the owner at Lexington made our experience 5 star and the food was so fantastic. So 5 stars all around, one of the best night destinations in Ottawa!“

“Excellent food…. Chicken Marsala was superb. We were there during Tulip Festival weekend and were warned that entrees would take a little longer. Drinks and appetizers were quick to arrive. A great atmosphere even though one patron was disrespectful and disruptive.
The situation was handled coolly by the owner and the rest of the evening was great. Ended with dessert and Limoncello!

“I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at Mezzanotte and it was a very nice experience. Not only is the restaurant aesthetically pleasing, the ambiance was amazing. I can’t say enough about our server Sue, she was attentive, personable, funny and made my first experience here a memorable one. We were a bigger group so I got to taste quite a few appetizers and everything was delicious. Main course was also to perfection! I can’t wait to pay them another visit soon.“
