“Stopped by here on a weeknight after work and grabbed a seat by the window, which turned out to be perfect for people watching on the street below. The oat milk latte was smooth and not too sweet, and the almond croissant they recommended was still warm from the oven. Staff were friendly and didn't rush me even though I stayed almost two hours working on my laptop. Great spot to unwind mid week before heading back out to explore more of the city.“

“Le Café Magda est bien plus qu’un simple café. C’est un véritable point de rencontre pour tout le quartier, un endroit où l’on se sent chez soi dès qu’on franchit la porte. Nous sommes vraiment chanceux de l’avoir dans le Bronx, car il contribue pleinement à la vie du quartier et crée un esprit de communauté précieux. “Wonderful drink -hot pumpkin latte and yummy sandwich. Chicken avacado and bacon.

However, I did encounter a pick pocket. My husband stopped him as the man reached into my purse that was next to me.
A man in big white coat, blue hat and A bigger woman in a black coat . She blocked the purse and the man sat next to it. Can happen anywhere but just alerting you to it. Management was great at responding and will keep an eye out. Nothing was taken. Whew.“

“One of the friendliest family owned places you will ever go to. You can tell that it is a family run place and everyone really cares about giving you the best experience. The owner/manager is so nice and she checks on you to make sure everything is up to your standards.
The food was delightful and I am not a coffee drinker but my wife who is one was so happy with what she had that she ordered another one to go :)

“was buying starbucks' true north blonde roast for awhile. my place of work brews the veranda blend where i got introduced to light roast coffee. had no idea blonde roast even existed to be honest. noticed 49th parallel had a light roast variety of their own. bought a bag of epic espresso just to sample it but i keep coming back for more. excellent coffee and my new favorite ! ☕“

The olive oil is of a good quality.
I find the place to be overpriced and do not like the fact they do not have price tags.
Also on the receipt you cannot see how much you paid for each article. Only a total price.
This gives them the liberty to set a price on the spot.
I would recommend for food quality if you want to splurge.“

“Check your bill before you pay as I was charged more. I was charged 12.08 for 9.64 (2.50+5.99) after tax and before tip. I was returned only half that amount when I asked maybe bc they were too flustered…

“I have been looking for my new favorite cafe place. I found it today. The vibe the owners have is contagious, you feel excited to try new pastries. I picked the big chocolate chip cookie, it was sooo good, almost like half baked cookie dough. I also tried the almond cookie so delicious with a hint of lemon 🍋. “I got an iced matcha and breakfast sandwich. Breakfast sandwich was great for 10$. They didn’t cheap out in on the bacon and eggs and it wasn’t dry at all. Bread was made in house too which was nice. Now for the matcha, it wasn’t impressive it definitely wasn’t quality, it was grey almost. Though It’s difficult for shops to nail. You can most definitely find better or even good matcha for the same price point (~5$). Atmosphere was cute too (& they offer a student discount).“
