Only reason for docking points is that is you're in the big lounge area you're good 5 stars - if you're in the small corner behins the fire, you get a bit left out of the dance and music + get served last/they sometimes forget to come offer food. The food is good, even if I got a bit sick the next day - I think some items were served a little too raw (cut deep on skewer) - the dishes served on the table were very salty but very delicious.“

“This place doesn't boast a very big dining room but makes up for it with their tastey food and friendly staff.During my visit, I had the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Cajun fries and 2 pints of beer.  My supper coat me about $75 plus tip.The Quesadilla was pretty meaty.  Plenty of chicken and it tasted great.  The Cajun fries were pretty good, too.  Ask for a side of sour creme for dipping.A couple friends ordered the pork ribs and brisket combo and the beef ribs plates.  Everything was delicious and plentiful.  All of our plates were left with scraps as we had to get to a show.The service was quick and friendly.  The dining room can open up to a terrace  ut it was raining that evening.  Try to avoid the bathrooms at all cost.  They were very dirty.In all, it was a good meal in and a nice dining experience.  A bit pricey but worth another visit.“

“Had a great experience here. We were able to get a same day reservation which was lovely. The experience itself was wonderful I’ve never seen anything like it. The staff were very helpful with explaining the menu and they didn’t charge us for the s’mores which was so kind of them. We will be coming back for sure! Particularly enjoyed the brisket, tasty and juicy, and the pork ribs, tender but with just the right amount of bite. “Honestly Wow! We went shopping at Carrefour Laval and we were feeling a little hungry. We didn't know what to eat so we wandered around to explore what was available. A nice gentleman caught our attention to give us ONE bite of beef. I fell in love. We ordered a plate of beef and they offered to have it as a trio. First of all, I have never had such a delicious spring roll in my ENTIRE life!!! WOW!!! “Honestly, it is the best poulet rouge I have eaten so far. Without discrediting the others, this poulet rouge is very friendly and very clean. As a vegan, they literally grilled the “poulet vege” separately and make sure there is no contact with the rest of the chicken. Strongly recommended!“

“Petros Taverna Montreal has a great selection of fresh food on the menu and I am impressed with the quality of every dish that I have savored. The tzatziki is exceptional in quality and tastes great because it is perfectly seasoned without any exaggerated garlic flavor. “We got the mini bowl each and it was A LOT, I don't know how people can eat the full size bowl. I got the BBQ chicken, guacamole, beans, corn and cucumber with rice. My partner got the garlic chicken, guacamole, tomatoes, onions and cucumber. Both bowls were super tasty and good price / value. “We had planned an evening at Bar-B-Barn to celebrate my wife’s birthday, but it closed early. My wife was set on ribs, so I searched online and found Bofinger. Man, did we get lucky! The owner made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in; Bofinger has a warm, friendly, homey, neighbourhood vibe. There were eight of us, and everyone raved about the delicious food and attentive service. We were all first-timers at Bofinger and, without exception, agreed that we would return to this lovely establishment at the drop of a hat! As we were leaving, the owner asked my permission to kiss the birthday girl’s hand, and of course, permission was gladly granted!“

“Hole in the wall place, almost literally. They only take cash or e-transfer (not sure what that is honestly). There are two menus, one for meat and one for meals with rice. I opted for a two meat combo with crispy pork and crispy duck (which added $2 to my bill, alongside rice and a few pieces of marinated cabbage. The restaurant itself is so small that there aren't any tables or chairs so I got it to go, went back to my hotel, and enjoyed a delicious meal. After a roughly 20 minute ride back to my hotel, the skin on the meat was still crispy and everything was still warm. The meat was moist and flavorful with the perfect amount of both sweet and savory with quite the pronounced hint of Chinese five-spice. The meal is incredibly simple but done very well. The restaurant is a bit of a shock upon first glance but the staff are incredibly kind.“

Well Miami Deli is exactly that. The poutine is worthy of a potato shack.You have everything, the menu is huge, the servers are nice. “We popped into Restaurant Jano after we spied the board out front advertising chicken quarters. We were happy to see many other delicious entrees on the menu. I ordered what turned out to be perhaps the most delicious lamb chops I've had in my life (one of my favorites whenever I have the choice). The host was welcoming and made us feel relaxed right away. The bill was surprisingly small for such good food. I could not feel any better about this place. 6 out of 5 stars.“

The only place that was better was a gourmet high end Haitian restaurant in Montreal at double the price.The rice was tasty and the salad was well dressed.The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet.I gave it 4 stars because the server didn't seem too interested in serving anyone (maybe she was shy?) but seemed to warm up towards the end of our meal. They charge $1 for a to go container and they only give you 1 plantain and very little griot itself. If they doubled the plantains and added 2 or 3 more pieces of griot I would have no issues giving it 5 stars.With all that being said, I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Haitian food and I will definitely be returning for many meals to come. We reserved for a birthday celebration just from this 1 visit.
