Just moved to Montreal and have been trying to find a few go to coffee spots. This spot definitely makes my list for sure. A very cute spot in my opinion, with a little area out front to sit down and enjoy your coffee too, which I have yet to do! The options of pastries was overwhelming (in a good way), and delicious. Prices are for their drinks are phenomenal too.
The most important element in any cafe is light. MÆSMi (still not sure how to pronounce that one) has it. Morning sunlight bathed a two-top at which my friend and I ate muffins and drank coffee. The seating was sparse, my muffin a little dry, but the conversation was anything but. And the second most important element at any cafe, coffee, fueled our discourse through everything from AI cults to economical animation. The place is very small, but it is nice to go there since the sun lights up the room. They do not sell lunches anymore sadly. The food is addicting, and they also sell goodies such as tote bags, shirts, and postal cards.
