“The Legendary Joe Beef. We had the Foie Gras double down, the rabbit, and the veal. This is basically the Rolls Royce of restaurants, you are paying for the name. Food was unlike anything I've ever had and was extremely flavourful, but Canadian shrinkflation means you pay a lot for a little, so I left hungry. Great experience though between the ambience and the staff, it was unforgettable.“

“The food here is incredibly tasty and delicious. My son loved the Le Bennie burger so much he asked for a second one! We also tried the Baos and one of the bowls—everything was absolutely delicious. On top of the fantastic menu, the service is excellent, the prices are great, and the place itself is very cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend!“

“I had the mango lassi, tempeh bites and shared a carrot cake. All good (taste, freshness, wholesome, ethical). My friends had the burger, creamsicle smoothies, mimosas, sandwiches and Choco banana pie. Everyone enjoyed the food but the vegan factor, atmosphere and service was the highlight. It’s a beautiful place to be and the servers were so polite, patient and proactive even when we were all spacing out. They’re one of the trailblazers of the vegan scene in Montreal so I’ll give them that.

Side note: Before I ordered I asked a staff member if the workers are treated better these days because I heard horror stories from the past. He replied convincingly and happily that yes everything is good now and the staff are treated much better by the new management and they get asked that a lot. I took that as the full truth but when I got home I read another review from 6 months ago that said the staff are paid less than the minimum wage (because it’s a restaurant so they can get away with it legally — that’s the tipping culture here but I don’t think it’s right. They should be paid at least minimum wage just as a protection measure whether or not changes are made to the business. The prices of the food seem high enough to cover it but maybe not because of greedy landlords ? I don’t think workers should have to take less than their work is worth when a client comes in knowingly not willing to pay tip because of their financial situation regardless of the price of the food. While people shouldn’t go out to eat if they can’t afford tipping at restaurants that expect tip (not all restaurants do — you can try places that don’t expect tips like Larry’s but you’re going to pay more and it isn’t vegan), it shouldn’t have to turn into a scene that humiliates multiple parties. If I was a waiter I would let it slide with the customer because it’s just one person whereas the employer/government create the problem in the first place that needs to be solved (charge 15% more for food and write no tips on the menu and increase hourly salaries by however much they would make usually with tips or when a client pays less than 15% for tip the employer will cover the difference)“

Quand j’ai signalé le problème, une des commis m’a passé un rouleau de papier pour que je nettoie le tout moi-même. Elle m’a offert de remplacer le pogo, ce que j’ai décliné. “What an experience! Over the course of about 3 hours, 7 fantastic dishes, paired with 7 glasses of perfectly selected wine, I discovered what the term "fine dining" actually means. It's sophisticated without being overly serious, the flavors are always playful, changing right when you think you've figured them out. My favorite dish was a charred trout with roe and confit melon, in a beurre blanc sauce (chef's kiss). However, everything was truly wonderful, from a perfectly cooked strip loin, to rare squab with a rich berry sauce, to a braised beet on top of an intense shiitake mushroom puree. The service is impeccable: they never miss a beat. Whether it was never missing the opportunity to pull out the chair for my companion, to simply exuding a quite and comforting friendliness. Accommodation is what they strive for, and they go above and beyond to achieve that while maintaining an air of effortlessness. Needless to say, I'm counting the days until I go back.“

“Very good. One of my favourite restaurants I’ve been to in the city. Also in a great location with other fun restos and bars around. Service was amazing from the start, explaining the menu throughly for us “first timers”. Fun plates to share, don’t disregard the veggies as they are some of the best parts of the meal. The chilie cabbage was probably one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. (Choi chili crisp). Thanks for the great service, food and ambience, will be back asap.“

The menu did not change at all since this summer though, so I think it is nice to experience, but it doesn’t offer much variety if you come multiple times. Had lunch 3 times in 3 different months and all 3 times it was the same menu. “This is plant-based fast-food place on Maisonneuve Blvd West that is open from 8am to 9pm (weekdays) and 11am to 8pm (weekends). They have a menu of vegetarian friendly dishes at reasonable prices. Service was friendly and fine during our recent visit. On the occasion we tried the Galaxy burger with fries and the Asian Fusion power bowl. Both were pretty good for the prices charged. It is good that there are healthy food options like Copper Branch. Would be fine eating here again next time in Montreal.“
