“The Goldfish are addictive, and the cocktails always impeccable. This place specializes in perfectly balanced long drinks, in particular cocktails mixed in Mason jars, such as their perfect classic mojito. We've been coming for years; it's a mandatory visit every time we're in Montreal. In fact, they inspired a major part of our cocktail program at our own cocktail bar (RIP This End Up). I hope La Distillerie lives on forever. Chin chin!!!

“Le milky way est un magnifique endroit avec une bonne ambiance pour terminer une soirée entre amis. J’ai commander le drink Preach’s peach pour sa composition et le magnifique verre annoncé sur le menu (flamingo). Malheureusement, le drink n’a pas été servi dans le verre tant attendu. Dans ce genre d’endroit, la présentation fait toute la différence pour justifier un cocktail à 25$. J’aurais apprécier qu’on me renseigne que le verre n’était pas disponible ce soir-là. J’aurais probablement opter vers un autre cocktail à un prix plus modeste. Ceci dit, le goût était bon. Nous ne recommandons pas les spritz sans alcool qui sont à notre goût fade et simplement amer. Un ajout de sirop simple pourrait probablement balancer l’amerture de ce drink qui est normalement délicieux avec du mousseux, bien entendu. Pour terminer, le cocktail bleu dont je ne me souvient plus le nom était le highlight de la soirée. Je retournerais au MilkyWay pour retenter l’expérience :) Au plaisir,“

Sylvain and Johanne have been there for a long time and they always remember us when we come back which is once a year. The drinks and service are excellent. “Finally got to check this spot out in the summer after hearing much hype. It's difficult to gauge if it lived up to it just because of how much hype there was, but if not it came close. This place has a unique location as it is placed in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The elongated layout allows it to fit into the grid while allowing a fairly large capacity across the two rooms. Riverside doesn't bother with a house cocktail menu, but the bartenders are skilled with any of your classic cocktails you enjoy. The prices are about where you'd expect them to be at such an establishment. This place maintains a presentable atmosphere and is overall a great place to mingle. That being said, expect a congested crowd in peak hours. See you next summer, Riverside!“

“It deserves a 5 stars but I only gave 4 due to the fact that when you use the tip % suggestions at the payment terminal, it applies the % on the amount after tax, which is illegal in Québec since may 2025. I called the day after and left a message to the person responsible for the restaurants at the Ritz but never got a call-back. While it is no big deal, it is a bit disappointing that such a prestigious institution would not comply with the law. Update: Someone did call me after my review and explained the technical glitch that they experienced for a short period and that it was solved.“

“I would highly recommend Brasserie Milton! We had some great meals on our trip to Montreal but, we went back for a second night because Stephan was the best. “Went to Bar George on our last night in Montreal. After almost a week of French inspired food, it was a nice change of pace.

While not entirely British it was different than other most restaurants we'd visited.

For an appetizer, we had a half dozen oysters. Small but very fresh and tasty.

The Beef Wellington was amazing! My wife ordered this and she thought it on par with Gordon Ramsey's she'd had a Hell's Kitchen in Miami.

I had Lobster Risotto which was very good and our son had Halibut which he also enjoyed.

Service was top notch and the ambiance was very nice. We had a couple get engaged at the table next to us. It's that kind of place.“
