Service was friendly although they kept coming to the table a little too often, which is appreciated but felt a little rushed. We unfortunately were seated in the back next to a big party of people and it was impossible to hear each other. Would come back to try again though!“

From start to finish, our evening at Le Godot was absolutely out of this world. Every single dish from the appetizers to the desserts was a masterpiece. The mix of flavors was simply orgasmic, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef and kitchen team for creating such an extraordinary culinary experience!

The service was just as exceptional. I organized a small bachelorette surprise dinner for a good friend, and the Le Godot team went above and beyond to help me plan and make the night truly special. I’m so mad I can’t recall our server’s name (he worked Thursday evening, October 23) he deserves a special shoutout; his warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail elevated the entire evening.

“Was my first visit to their new space (they just reopened and expanded) and I was blown away. Beautiful, sophisticated design, but still feels intimate and low key. Staff were fun and friendly; drinks were fresh, interesting/unique and stiff. Loved the vibe overall and definitely worth making a detour for - it's a great spot for a date, to hang with friends, or to entertain business colleagues/clients. They've completely upped their game even further and cemented its status as one of the best cocktail bars in the city.“

“We went on a Sunday, it was busy for a Sunday night but the waitress did an amazing job handling everyone we never had to try hard to get her attention. There was a burlesque show that was fun to watch. The murder mystery game was a good surprise. Great for groups we had good laughs and really enjoyed our time. The drinks were so tasty and the Brie was amazing as well!

“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“

“Wow!!!! I am so glad that this was our last dinner in Montreal because we would have compared every other to it and would have been disappointed. It was absolutely nothing short of AMAZING! The drinks....best we had the entire time here.....the service was completely on point, friendly, efficient, and the place was busy. We started with sharing Solterito and it was so fresh, well-balanced, and light. My daughter got the ceviche rocoto and I got the anticucho de Pollo....both ridiculously flavorful. I wish I could have ordered one of everything on that menu...seriously. We shared the passion fruit cheesecake and it was perfect. I do not have a single bad thing to say. If you have the chance...go! I absolutely promise you will not be disappointed.“

This place specializes in perfectly balanced long drinks, in particular cocktails mixed in Mason jars, such as their perfect classic mojito. We've been coming for years; it's a mandatory visit every time we're in Montreal. In fact, they inspired a major part of our cocktail program at our own cocktail bar (RIP This End Up). I hope La Distillerie lives on forever. Chin chin!!!

J’ai commander le drink Preach’s peach pour sa composition et le magnifique verre annoncé sur le menu (flamingo). Malheureusement, le drink n’a pas été servi dans le verre tant attendu. Dans ce genre d’endroit, la présentation fait toute la différence pour justifier un cocktail à 25$. J’aurais apprécier qu’on me renseigne que le verre n’était pas disponible ce soir-là. J’aurais probablement opter vers un autre cocktail à un prix plus modeste. Ceci dit, le goût était bon. Nous ne recommandons pas les spritz sans alcool qui sont à notre goût fade et simplement amer. Un ajout de sirop simple pourrait probablement balancer l’amerture de ce drink qui est normalement délicieux avec du mousseux, bien entendu. Pour terminer, le cocktail bleu dont je ne me souvient plus le nom était le highlight de la soirée. Je retournerais au MilkyWay pour retenter l’expérience :) Au plaisir,“

“Un lieu que je fréquente à l’occasion et qui ne déçoit jamais. Chez Les Insulaires, on vient d’abord pour la bière — et on reste pour l’expérience. La Phare et la Lux brillent franchement parmi leurs créations : chacune bien construite, expressive, avec cette touche d’élégance qui fait qu’on y revient. Best bar in Montreal, hands down. And trust me, we’ve done the research. Jesse had already clocked out, but still dove into the depths of the back room to find a bottle of Japanese whiskey my husband ordered. Man was off the clock and still giving 110%. Legend status unlocked.

And let’s not forget Shane -funny, welcoming, and clearly running on vibes and pure charisma. Between him and Jesse, this place is basically the Avengers of bartending.

The atmosphere? Immaculate. But the real MVPs are the staff. Friendly, hilarious, and somehow all have the vibe of your funniest friend who also makes great cocktails. They’re the heartbeat of this place. I’d protect them with my life.

If you’re in Montreal and don’t come here.. rethink your life choices. This bar will change your life. You’ll leave buzzed, blessed, and maybe a little in love (probably with Jesse… or Shane).“
