“It's one of the best, if not THE best Pho soup with rare beef that I've had the opportunity to eat. The beef was super tender, the noodles perfect and the broth sublime. The imperial rolls are impressive in size and very tasty. Very good value for money and the staff are exceptionally friendly. I'm going back for sure, I haven't tried the banh mi =)“

“We had an early dinner here on a Sunday. We almost didn’t go in at first because it was completely empty but in the end we walked in and had a meal. We both got the beef pho with rare and brisket beef flank. IT WAS AWESOME. Pho is one of our favourite dishes and one that we’ve learned to essentially judge restaurants by. This place had absolutely delicious broth, perfectly tender noodles, lots of high quality beef, and a bountiful fixings. Also, the owner was super nice, and the room, while basic, had comfortable banquets. So you should do yourself a favour and get a nice bowl of noodles here to eat in or take out because one of the better noodle shops in the country is sitting right here in Montreal. Who knew?“

“Great neighborhood restaurant. I have been passing by since I moved into the area and was not disappointed once I decided to step in.

Our meal started with the imperial rolls (cha gio) and the papaya salad (without beef). The rolls were in my opinion the star of the night; generously filled and simply delicious. These are the imperial rolls you always hope for but rarely get. The papaya salad was fresh and well dressed - not spicy as their Thai counterpart usually is.

We followed our meal with bahn xeo - a crispy Vietnamese omelette/crêpe that was filled with chicken and a generous amount of bean sprouts, and Bun Cha Hanoi. The airy and crispy texture of the crepe is addictive to say the least and very enjoyable. The grilled bun cha meat was also very tasty!

In sum, Y Lan is a great restaurant where you can be sure to enjoy a great meal with great service.

“We stumbled upon this hidden gem while going for a burger down the street and let me tell you, we were not disappointed!!

Cozy little restaurant with an amazing staff. Nathalie (I hope I remembered her name correctly) greeted us with a big smile and gave us her recommendations. We had the beef soup as well as the mixed grilled meat plate. Came with 2 egg rolls (shrimp & chicken), 2 chicken thighs I believe, few shrimp skewers and a nice piece of grilled beef on a bed of rice. Nathalie who was a dear, gave is some delicious chillies to go with the food that gave the soup the KICK in the back of the throat ya love!!!

Price for the food was really good and worth every penny. Will definitely be back!!

“Premier essai aujourd'hui pour deux : on a pris la soupe Pho Tai #10 et le poulet sauté à la citronnelle #33 et c'était vraiment trop bon. Le boeuf de la pho est vraiment tendre et les saveurs du #33 étaient immédiatement excellentes et au dessus de nos attentes à la première bouchée. Ils ont probablement le meilleur poulet citronnelle de Montréal, voir du Québec.“

“I've been visiting this restaurant quite often during my lunch breaks for the last few months and I must say, they have one of the best Pho. I've been craving it every day.

Food : I have tried many Vietnamese restaurants in my life and they have one of the best Pho. The broth is very tasty, compared to other places where most broths are very watery, Station Pho has mastered theirs. I wish they would be more generous on the toppings (e.g. Meat and noodles), but otherwise, the food is great. I have yet to try their Banh Mi.

Service : Always super friendly ! If you order takeout, I would recommend calling in advance.

Atmosphere : Perfect atmosophere for a lunch with coworkers.

“I tried this restaurant for the first time on 2024-11-23 and it was a great experience. It's very beautiful inside, it was even a little more chic than I had imagined. It is possible to book in advance and easily make last minute changes if necessary. The restaurant is ideally located next to the MTelus, it is a good choice before a show. I had the table d'hôte with Teriyaki salmon. The rolls were good and very crispy. The salmon was very well prepared. I didn't like the fried banana as much for dessert, I didn't think it had much flavor. There is an alcohol menu with wine or beers. I was highly recommended to have a more traditional sharing dish next time.“

“My family and I were drawn to this restaurant when we walked past it and the aroma coming from it practically dragged us in there, and unsurprisingly, the food here did NOT disappoint. The pho and the crispy noodles were the best I've ever tried and for an amazing price. If I ever come by to montreal again, I will no doubt stop by Pho Bac again, it was truly the highlight of my trip!“

“I had the grilled pork with rice. The taste was spot on when compared to the better local Vietnamese restaurants. The price was reasonable too.

They can improve on 2 items
1) in the meat dish, the pork chops were very thin. Almost hot pot meat thickness. Doubling the thickness and adjusting the price would make sense. It shows the effort they spent to cut the chops so thin

2) we sat in the middle aisle. During a cold day, the cold air rushes in and some of the guests kept their coats on while eating their food. I don't think they can do too much now. In hindsight, the pair of double doors should have been installed with an offset.“

“Youn't have pho here but that's they offer the most authentic food from Mekong Delta of Vietnam that most Vietnamese restaurants won't have. On top of great food, great cleanliness, their warthm and hospitality are so genuine!“
