“What an incredible little gem tucked away in North Smithfield. The food was impeccable, the service was top tier, the drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy.Plenty of menu options to choose from, with multiple chef specials to boot. I chose a special the day we went - Pasta Davina. Generous portions, and priced fairly. “I hit up this restaurant on a Friday evening. We did not have reservations, but were able to get a seat. The place was full, our table of 2 was squeezed between 2 other tables of 2. I practically made new friends... seriously, we talked to people at both tables on either side, it was hard to avoid when you're practically dining with them. I don't eat cheese and the majority of the items are Italian based, with cheese. Our waitress was fantastic working with my food restrictions and the kitchen was able to make me a Hawaiian type pizza with a BBQ base... no cheese! This modification was certainly not expected but appreciated. If you are in for wine or beer, you're covered. They had plenty of options! There was an added bonus of live music which made the experience even better. My experience was in March while it was cold out. I see that there is outdoor seating, I imagine this place has a wonderful vibe in the summer & I would definitely come back to experience it again!“

“It's a nice restaurant for a special dinner. This is our third visit for dinner in the past 6 months. The service is always wonderful. The martinis are amazing.The only issue I have experienced is that I feel the dinners and appetizers are a bit skimpy. Recently I ordered the Bourbon Glazed Salmon and while it was delicious, there were just two stalks of asparagus and a less than average size salmon filet.Again, the meals are delicious, but you will rarely take home any leftovers.If they didn't offer valet parking service, I would most likely not visit. Parking is difficult. The valet is necessary.“

“I almost didn't come here because I saw a review saying the food was bland. I'm so glad I came anywags, I got Chicken Parmesan with Pink Vodka sauce and Linguine, it was AMAZING! The portions were massive and I got about two whole breasts worth of chicken and the sauce was so so yummy, I had about 2/3 of my meal as leftovers. I'm definitely coming back here!“

“Really good food and large portions. Service was slow, but they appeared to have just one server. One member of our group was finished eating before the rest of us even got our food. The fries were salty, just the way I like them. The fish was delicious!Definitely will return to try a couple of dishes that looked good. Just perhaps earlier when it isn’t so busy.Wheelchair accessibility: I didn’t see a ramp, but the stairs are wide and easily accessible. It was raining, so if there was a ramp, I just missed seeing it.“

“What can I say about Mr. Gregory. We’ll start with my opinions on Douglas. I believe something’s happening here and the town is stuck in the past. Makes me a bit nervous.Now on to GREG. Food was pretty solid, got a buff chick Sandy my boys got some Sandy’s a sampler and a calzone. Everyone enjoyed the eats. Biggest complaint I had is the was no Tim. “Great food but not so great customer service. We placed a take out order for taco pizza. When we arrived home we learned there were none of the required toppings on the pizza. (No lettuce, tomato, cheese or sour cream). My husband had to make a return trip to get the situation corrected. While the girl on the desk was very helpful, no one apologized for the mistake. The pizza was merely taken to the kitchen, toppings placed on the pizza, and returned to my husband. No one from the kitchen spoke to my husband. My suggestion: if you order take out, open the box and be sure you’re getting what you ordered to save yourself the time and gas of a second trip.“

“First time here and it was very good. I tried the swordfish and it was not bad. The service was outstanding. I'd recommend sitting at a table unless your a skinny person. I'd recommend if you're looking for a place to have a romantic dinner with that special someone. Not too loud and they take good care of you.“

“First time dining at this restaurant. We met another couple being a place that was half way between us. My wife and I had traditional Italian comfort food. The other couple had some fish dishes. Their dishes looked amazing and interesting presentations. My wife's very much enjoyed her eggplant rollatini and my Italian combo plate was very much as expected. Our friends had salmon primavera, and haddock & shrimp Francese. Although we enjoyed our meals, we envied our friends. All our meals included a salad and pasta. The service was very good. Plenty of easy parking. Right off the highway. Prices were attractive. I give this restaurant a solid four stars. In the lounge, there is a fireplace with evidence of a recent real wood fire. Overall, I enjoyed our night out at Gia Ristorante Italiano, and will be back soon.“

“Updating my review because I last submitted a review in 2016. Some of the staff have since changed and they are under new ownership. The food and service at Merola's Granite Farm are better than ever! I often order their chicken parm dinner, minus cheese, because it's the best chicken I've ever had. Their tomato sauce is fresh, bright, and delicious. If I'm not in the mood for pasta, I order an eggplant grinder with sweet potato fries. The eggplant is crispy on the outside and velvety on the inside - phenomenal! Sweet potato fries are always good. I'm usually not a fan of breakfast because of my food allergies but I LOVE their breakfast items! I usually order a bunch of sides. Their carved ham is fantastic, their homefries are excellent, and you can't go wrong with their cinnamon baked apples or a grilled English muffin. Staff are personable, attentive, and friendly. You have the option of eating near the cozy bar, or in the larger dining area. Very beautiful. Love it here!!“

“Growing up in Smithfield, this has been a staple in my family for many years. Now I live in Providence and don't make it here too often. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I were out shopping and were getting hungry, and I suggested Tony's. He has very high standards of food, and always has his list of favorites, and was a bit hesitant since he had never tried it. We decided to order anyway, and he could not stop raving about not only how delicious and fresh everything tasted, but how nice everyone was! He has an allergy, and they went above and beyond to make sure there was no product cross-contamination. It's rare to find such kind, and friendly service. This is a wonderfully cozy, and caring family restaurant. I suggest the Italian grinder, hot. We will definitely be ordering again!“

“It was a cold snowy Sunday and we were the only ones in there. Our food was all tasty and cooked perfectly.... including the pasta! I can't count how many times I have been restaurants that can't cook pasta. It was nice and roomy inside. The service was excellent. The entrances are kinda wonky and could use better signage. Overall good experience will probably try it again.“
