“Went to Taqueria Lupita for the first time yesterday. We ordered tacos to-go (Al Pastor & Suedero). The tacos were delicious. Perfect really. Our hosts were warm and friendly and apologized for not being able to serve us at a table inside due the pandemic. I honestly can’t wait for life to return to normal so I can return to this gem of a restaurant for the whole experience (including Sangria). If you’re getting take-out during the pandemic, be sure to support this local business.“

“The food here is ALWAYS absolutely incredible! And the people running the place (Vera and Vivi) are SO amazing, kind and welcoming. They really become family. We eat here at least once a week, sometimes twice a week! The salmon is fantastic! And the Bitoque (small steak) is DELICIOUS!“

The empanadas are delicious and I particularly love the mixed ones, the pork rinds are a little greasier than expected but so delicious, and the other food items are all solid. Not a 5-star but a solid 4 that I recommend to anyone wanting some hispanic cuisine.“

“We really enjoyed dinner outside by the river. The ceviche was as fresh and perfectly balanced as any we’ve had anywhere. Portions are huge! Grilled seafood was perfect and paella great as well- rice not too dry like some. Enjoyed it a lot.“

“I put a 2-star for service. The reason I put 2 stars for service is because when paying with my card the cashier told me I was declining. I know I gave her the right zip code. So instead of double-checking if the zip code I gave her was what I said she told me it was wrong. I then double-checked my account and I gave her the right zip code. She was putting the wrong one in and proceeded to say the wrong one back to me. They need to make sure they are correct before telling the customer's their cards are declining.“

“Green Wok has been my happy place for over 2 years now! Their teriyaki beef strips are a party in my mouth - the beef is tender and juicy, and the teriyaki glaze is bursting with flavor. I pair it with their vegetable fried rice, which is always soft, fluffy and delicious! The service is friendly and always makes me feel like a valued customer. If you're looking for amazing vegan food that tastes fresh and is made with quality ingredients, then Green Wok is a must-try!“

“A couple of the dishes were really good - the kofta was so well seasoned and the chicken shawarma plate was great. I would definitely come back just for these dishes.

While the ingredients tasted fresh, I would not recommend the tabbouleh (soupy and oily) or falafel (dry and incredibly salty). The hummus was good, but I would've liked to see the price be more at about $7 for the size versus $9 (about 1.25 cups).

The interior is small and clean. There are some tables/booths inside if you're looking to scarf down your food onsite or a place to sit while you're waiting to-go.

“We sat in the enclosed area. I love that small birds come in and sit next to you. Very nice touch!! The pancake are amazingly fluffy and delicious. I ordered The ultimate breakfast. Sausage and bacon were on point. Crispy bacon and a perfectly cooked hash brown. Came here for my birthday and it was a perfect breakfast to start the day.“

“One of my favorite restaurants on “The Hill”. The dining experience at Massimo is always a 5 star experience. Yesterday afternoon we had Janelle as our server and she was superb- it made it a 5 star PLUS visit. Blood orange Cosmos, eggplant appetizer, chicken parm, pistachio cannoli, tiramisu- all excellent. “We discovered this small family restaurant a couple of years ago and it has become one of our favorites! The sea scallops are the best we’ve had anywhere ( so sweet and cooked to perfection). We’ve tried many of the menu options and have never been disappointed.“

“I finally stopped by Three Wishes Bakery in Johnston RI. Can I say I was so impressed and excited and happy. It was like a classic RI bakery with all the most beautiful pastry and donuts I have ever seen in a gluten free bakery. I wanted to buy it all. My husband and I shared two donuts at home, one was the creme brûlée and the other a Boston creme. Soooo good. We ate the cinnamon twists in the car on the way home. We were both making lots of yummy noises. I also tried their sandwich rolls which were delicious. Soft and flavorful unlike other gluten free rolls I have bought. The spinach pies were our lunch and they didn’t disappoint with the raspberry twists for our dessert. I will now be a regular at Three Wishes Bakery. Finally a bakery I can enjoy.“

“Went on Monday in the pouring rain after a day of shopping at Wrentham. What a cozy atmosphere, small but so comfortable. Then the waiter came over quickly and was attentive throughout the meal without being intrusive. Our food included Breaded Palomilla Steak, Enchilada de Camarones, and Ropa Vieja. Loved the congris (rice with garlic and black beans) and plantains both salty and sweet. The flan, shared for dessert was the just right ending. I wish we lived closer because we would be there often!“

“I meet with my brother and sister-in-law for lunch once a month, and the Rhody Hen Cafe has become our go-to place for the past 3 months. We've tried both breakfast and lunch items, and have been happy with all our choices. They make the best blueberry pancakes ever!“

“Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though“
